Today we tried a number of galettes and the risotto. I don't know if it was because I just hiked Vista Chinesa, but it was even more delicious than I remembered. I ordered the first speciality galette on the menu. It had honey, Brie, figs, and ham which was an awesome combination. I devoured it! If you like the honey, Brie and fig combo (often found on bruschetta) this is the galette for you! Amelie has great crepes and a galette is like an open face crepe. It comes with a side salad which is a tightly wrapped lettuce leaf with pesto and mayonnaise dressing drizzled on it. The risotto with filé mignon and mushrooms was also quite delicious. Can't go wrong with either dish. Service was good and food was excellent. Gavea shopping definitely had the best restaurants in the mall

It has a nice sports bar vibe in the evening where they play football games and other sports events. We stopped by late in the evening to catch a game of football and it was crowded with everyone having a good time. It was most delicious. Finished it off Plogastel crepe. 4 mini (but not small) crepes frilled with vanilla ice cream, topped with strawberries and heavy chocolate syrup (almost like a hot fudge for ice cream). Oh, so good. One order filled up three of us. Good attentive service. No complaints here. A very nice change from Brazilian food.

I cant say they are filling...but i guess that's the reason they have a wide variety of sweet dessert crepes for you to have. We each ordered a dessert option - i went for milk chocolate & strawberries. It wasn't overly sweet, but was messy :) Chocolate oozing. For a tourist area this place is pretty cheap. The crepes, which they are famous for, are to die for. I highly recommend going all out and getting a both a savory crepe and a dessert crepe. I had the steak and fresh cheese (kind of like mozzarella but brazilian style). You won't believe how big the portion is. Go nuts on the dessert crepe you won't regret it. The other entrees are not as good however. Do not be deceived by the bright colors and large portion. Just stick to the crepes. They take card but they don't speak english--and they like to stare.
