i absolutely hate churchill at commerce in commerce, tx. they were doing inspections every 3-4…read moreweeks, which is miserable as it is. now, it's under new ownership, as of september 2022, & now they're doing inspections every damn week!!! i already have high anxiety as it is, and am grieving, (plus the whole world is going crazy on top of it). this is just compounding everything. people need to be able to let their hair down & unwind @ home. not, get even more stirred up all of the time. i'm a completely unhappy resident here!

Yes this was nearly 10 years ago (Jesus I'm getting old) But back then the unit was brand new. New carpet, new walls, new paint, new Tub/Fixtures, AC/Window Unit. I loved how safe it was. it was ALWAYS quiet and multiple parking spaces. The manager was a lady I believe named Pam..(im surprised i remember). Anyhow the rent was very affordable, and all bills paid! I truly enjoyed living here my senior year of college.

The apartments are fairly new, equipped with washer and dryer that are refurbished. We went through…read more3 washers and 2 dryers in the 4 years we were there and they needed to be replaced when we left. Microwave, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher also provided. They advertise ice maker with refrigerator but ours didn't have one. Shortly after moving in we lost electricity in the second bedroom and patio light, maintenance came and attempted to fix it with no success left and never came back. Master bathroom tub faucet started leaking we waited 3 months before it got fixed. It stopped leaking but we lost water pressure. Paint was peeling off some of the doors, apparently when it was repainted they used the wrong sheen. The landscape wasn't kept up with. All of the trees and bushes need to be trimmed, before we moved they finally got someone to mow regularly. The pool was closed the entire 4 years we were there. Aside from everything mentioned above we actually enjoyed staying there. It was quiet, neighbors were great, and had no troubles until I mentioned to the manager we were leaving. In 4 years I had never seen the manager, I didn't know what she looked like but suddenly she started having problems with us weekly. It took us longer to move our stuff as expected because there was only 2 of us, I felt bad because we ended up leaving a mattress and cleaning tools in the apartment but the way we were being treated we chose not to return for the rest. For the record I cleaned the apartment literally from top to bottom, I even shampooed the carpet. But the icing on the cake... I did a change of address before leaving but unfortunately a mistake was made by the post office (I totally understand it happens we've all made mistakes) I had a delivery that was left at the door, the office manager was notified and went and got the box. Two days later there's no knowledge of a box until confronted with the proof (picture of delivery and screenshot of conversation of getting the package) but now she "left package on the ledge outside of office because they don't accept packages someone must have gotten it". A decent human being would have at least given it back to the postal worker as undeliverable. Now I am out $90, no product and my confidence in humanity dropped significantly.

This management company deserves negative stars, specifically the owner/operator Vickie D Trent and…read moreher husband. As a poor college student I rented a two bedroom house with a roommate for two years (July 2015- July 2017) and it was just headache after headache. First off, their office in Commerce in only open Tuesday-Thursday from 9 AM- 2 PM and they will ONLY ANSWER YOUR PHONE CALL/TRY TO RESOLVE ISSUES REGARDLESS OF EMERGENCY DURING OFFICE HOURS. The first week, our LIVING ROOM CEILING FELL IN because there was a leak in the air conditioning unit that seeped into the ceiling. It took them one week to fix the AC in the July heat and another two weeks to repair the gaping hole in the ceiling. Following this we soon learned that NONE OF THE WINDOWS OPENED BECAUSE THEY WERE PAINTED SHUT in the entire house, which they refused to fix for fear of breaking the windows. In addition to this we had NO HOT WATER TO THE BATHROOM SINK for close to a month. In the span of two years we LOST HEATING AT LEAST TWICE and they TOOK A WEEK TO REPAIR EACH so I was forced to buy a portable heater to avoid freezing to death. The AC STOPPED WORKING FOUR TIMES OVER TWO YEARS which also took at least a week to repair each as they REFUSED TO HIRE A PROFRESSION REPAIRMAN. In addition to this, the owner's husband tried to convince me on one occasion that the AC unit was not working because there were several holes in the air duct, although there could have been holes, they do not appear overnight to make your AC unit stop working, especially not through a metal air duct. Beyond this in May 2017 our HOSE SPIGOT SUDDENLY WOULD NOT SHUT OFF AND THEY REFUSED TO COME OUT until the next day. Three days after this leak, we had A BURST PIPE outside by the water main and WE HAD TO SHUT OFF WATER TO THE ENTIRE HOUSE FOR 5 DAYS because they would not come out to fix it. In fact Vickie would not return my phone calls for several days until I called her begging her to just let me know what the plan was going to be. Needless to say it was 5 days before they hired a plumber to fix the pipe. Beyond this SEVERAL POWER OUTLETS NEVER WORKED THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE and they wouldn't fix those either. And lastly if that wasn't bad enough, I was stiffed on my security deposit and they REFUSED TO PROVIDE RECEIPTS for what they charged me for. I was charged $250 FOR "CARPET SANITATION" EVEN THOUGH I HAD THE CARPETS CLEANED PRIOR TO MOVING OUT and I was charged for 16 "MISSING" LIGHT BULBS AT $5 A PIECE. Even though the same light bulbs and the same number of bulbs were in the sockets at move in as they were at move out. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION DO NOT LEASE WITH CORNERS @ COMMERCE OR VICKIE D TRENT.
