The normal school day runs differently according to the class. In P1 from 8.50am to 12.10pm (September only) after that to 2.30 pm. For years 2 & 3 the school day runs from 8.50 am to 2.30 pm and for year 7 the day is from 8.50 am - 3.10 pm. Ben Madigan aims to help out working parents and offer a facility where pre school and after day school care is offered from 8.00am to 5.30pm. The school is held in excellent repute, pupils scoring highly every year in their end of school exams. It is located on the Antrim Road, at the bottom of the cave hill. Set in extensive and beautiful surroundings, the pupils of the school learn both indoors and out in a range of teaching methods. The pupils also have access to the rugby pitches, swimming pool and I.T. facility belonging to B.R.A.

In May 2010, The Department of Education approved £3.6m funding to rebuild the school. It is unclear when building work will be finished. In a news report, a stunned Mr McConkey (the schools headmaster) said that current arrangements for his pupils sharing facilities in a high school means they have cramped classrooms, not enough toilets, no access for hot meals for many pupils, limited space outside and no assembly hall. This school was my own Primary School and is one of the best in the area. I will provide updates regarding the school as and when they occur. Both conspicuously absent here. History of mistreatment of staff and families due to cash. Better schools available locally and they cost much less.

Wish I went here a a kid…read more They have an alternative learning approach. Where kids re more hands on and about self discovery. Those who go here can easily be transferred to other Steiner schools around the world. They do not do exams. The extracurricular events are pretty fab for all the family.
