I found that the school administration was unresponsive and unwilling to address my concerns. They seemed more focused on protecting their own interests than on providing a quality education for my child. I ultimately decided to find another school for my child, as it became clear that the current school was not a good fit for him. However, it was frustrating and disheartening to feel like my concerns were completely ignored by the school board and the Department of Education. Overall, I would not recommend this school to anyone. The lack of responsiveness and willingness to address concerns is unacceptable and does not provide a safe and effective learning environment for students. Parents should be aware that if they have any concerns, they will likely not be heard or addressed by the school or the governing authorities.

This might still not be the same because it's been five years though, bear that in mind. The teachers didn't care if you were being bullied, they would just stick you into counseling, which just split you up from socializing with anyone else not in counseling. I got knocked unconscious constantly be stronger classmates, and every time my teachers would cover for them and have it blamed that I slipped or some other bullshit they would pull out of their asses. It was torture going to the school, my parents couldn't get any other school for me to transfer to that I could still take the bus for. They couldn't afford the gas to drive and pick me up everyday, and I lived in a bad neighborhood, so they didn't want me to walk. Here's an example, one time I had a bleeding finger, and also bear this in mind, I was in the first grade. I was just an innocent kid, the finger that was bleeding was my right middle finger, and it really hurt. I didn't mean to be rude, but when I went to ask for a bandage from my teacher, I accidentally flipped her off, and she sent me to the principal's office. Instead of going there, I really needed a bandage, and I went to the nurse, which i mind you was right across the hall from the principal's office so I was just going to get a bandage first.. When I got there, I did the same thing, just begging for her to help me. She took me to the principal's office, and I was suspended for 3 days, I didn't know what it meant, they put me in counseling when I came back, and this is the third time they put me there as well. I couldn't eat lunch with anyone, I wanted to kill myself everyday going to this hellhole of a school. I hate this school, and I will never forget what happened to me here. One day you son's of bitches, one day. Please don't send your kids here, trust me it is fucking horrible in there. I really wish I could give them 0 stars.

Every single teacher has been amazing, caring, professional, and supportive to my son's individual nature (he's very curious and smart!). My son started with a speech delay. Fast forward 3 years, and he talks too much! Our ped says our boy has the vocab of a second grader! He knows his ABCs, how to count to a million, put together puzzles, color within the lines, how to sit in a chair, and how to play well with other kids. He has such a great educational foundation to start elementary school and also be a global citizen in the Big World.

I finally found this hidden gem run by Braddock Baptist Church. The school is run by members of the church so it has a very homey feel. The student to teacher ratio is small and each classroom has just a handful of kids. I love that because my son does not like large group settings, and he gets more specialized attention. Before he attended this preschool, he was always a little behind other kids his age. But now he continually amazes me with all the things He's been learning. He loves getting dropped off. What's even better they have a 3 day and 4 day program from 9:30am-1:30pm, which gives me plenty of time to run errands and take care of my infant. If you lived in Alexandria, you have to give them a try!!
