We worked with JT (Jonathan Thrall) for a few months and ultimately decided to find another…read moretherapist at a different practice. JT is incredibly kind and well-intentioned, but the therapy felt one-dimensional. Sessions largely focused on validating feelings without providing structure, tools, challenge, or actionable guidance - all of which I repeatedly asked for. Given that this therapy was priced at the higher end of what we've seen, we expected a much deeper level of engagement and clinical depth. I consistently expressed that I did not feel understood, and that concern never felt meaningfully explored. The turning point came when JT continued asking the same questions and implied that I wasn't going deep enough. When I asked him to take a different approach and ask more thoughtful probing questions, he responded by asking me what I thought he should ask instead. That felt backwards. If he is the trained professional, I don't believe it should be my responsibility to determine how we get deeper in session. He also seemed dismissive of modalities like the Gottman Method and Nonviolent Communication, as well as the self-work I was doing independently. Despite repeatedly asking for homework or guidance between sessions, none was provided. We were looking for stronger direction and more skill-based, structured work, which is why we chose to move on. We're very happy with our new therapist, who also practices EFT but brings a broader, more versatile approach rather than relying on a singular method.

Texted the number, got Miyah. Was looking for a mental crisis center to go to that was good, as I…read morenoticed they were all 1 and 2 stars on Yelp...typically means people are abused. She got me one near my house after telling me she wasn't sure of an intake process at these places and couldn't guarantee it wasn't an abusive or rapey place. Looked it up on Yelp, asked if there was another place. Said that was the only place. Seemed surprising so I asked, there isn't a place in Denver? She provided another place and then closed out the chat. That's what they do with suicidal people if you're looking for help. They close out the chat. Now that I see they're literally 1 star here as well, and this is the number Colorado state advertises everywhere, I can see why Columbine happened and it's been crazy here ever since. You don't do that to suicidal people. Don't call the number. It'll just make you feel more helpless. Also definitely don't go into an ER for a psych hold. They'll strip you down naked and put you in a padded room. It's the 1800s in CO, where mental health services are like a prison. Like lady, we weren't done. You make people want to kill themselves.

Are you feeling down, vulnerable, desperate for some help and guidance, from "trusted…read moreprofessionals"?? Are you looking to be kicked while you're already down, then look no further, this is the place for you!!!! I had an experience that could be described as an actual nightmare- that has lingered with me for over a year. I've contemplated what to write and rewritten this dozens of times, as I've never left a bad review and this sure doesn't come easy for me. I once thought I was a strong advocate for myself, until this day, when I was convinced I was anything but that. This is a glorified TMS and ketamine sales pitch. I repeatedly said no, that I needed time to consider and do my own research, that I was uncomfortable and continued to be trapped in an office, completely withdrawn, crying, belittled and questioned as my no's meant nothing. I was told "look at you, look at how much help you need, you must commit if you ever want to change". I can only imagine the traumas people bring with them to that office, many already kicking themselves, traumas where their previous no's meant nothing. I escalated this to HR and upper management, and I will say I felt heard and cared for during these discussions. I told them how I was frustrated with myself for not handling it differently, for not firmly standing up while trapped in the office and firmly stating "show me the exit" (in this maze of a facility). The HR person told me I was wrong; and I immediately thought I was being invalidated, again, but he reassured me, I should NEVER have been put in that situation to begin with. I was assured I would not be harassed by them any further, only to continue receiving bills monthly for a TMS treatment plan for $3100 that I NEVER DID. I was told an investigation would take place. I was told there was a new manager whom would help me, but yet have never gotten a response from him. Despite complaints with DORA, my insurance company and the treacherous billing department who told me "don't worry, we don't have a collections agency, so just don't pay the bill". Well, today, I let them win, I paid my bill, which was their one and only goal. It was always about the money for them, but It was never about the money for me. It was about trying to regain my strength and advocate against a company that only takes from hurting people. After 14 months of back and forth, I decided to be done. All I'll say now, is save yourself the pain of entering this clinic.
