I first saw Sinclair's work at the 2003 Humane Society Walk for Animals. I loved her work. So…read moreawsome, so full of color and not just any colors all the colors that I love. At the walk, a female asked to take a picture of my 4 month old Zowie (a red nose Pitbull). I was happy to let her take the picture. A few months later, My Mom and I went to the Art Convention here in San Diego. As we walked through the aisles I had seen paintings of animals in those pretty bright colors that I remembered from the Walk for Animals. I got so excited and wanted my Mom to see the work because my love for color came from my Mom. Right before we were even in her booth a painting caught my attention... a painting of a dog that looked just like Zowie, sitting the way Zowie was sitting when that female took her picture. It was Zowie! That female was Sinclair! I thought that was so cool! I made my first Sinclair purchase then and have not stopped. I have 2 other pieces and am very excited to be adding 2 more pieces to my collection. I have followed Sinclair in San Diego at all the art shows that I am able to attend an am a huge fan. Sinclair's talent is not the only great thing about her. If you get to know Sinclair you will find that she is so nice, so down to earth and she is not selfish. Like myself, Sinclair's heart belongs to animals. Whenever Sinclair sells a piece of her work, a portion of the money she brings in goes to help animals. She is a HUGE supporter and donates to many different animal related causes. Over the years she has grown and her work has become more and more well known. She has traveled across the states to New York and even out of the Country to show her work at art shows. I am sad to say that due to my Zowie having Cancer (Lymphoma), even after going through her Cancer treatment, this August I had to put her down. After many good memories and many photos taken, one of those pictures will mean so much to me. The picture that Sinclair took. If your answer is "yes", you know the drill -sit in a chair, don't you dare move a muscle or twitch one millimeter, wait a half hour while your face gets drawn by hand? Well, that's SO Twentieth Century. Deery Hill is Amy Chau and her husband Eric. They were on-site at a wedding in Carlsbad and created hand-painted digital illustrations on an iPad for the wedding guests. Here's how it worked - Eric took a photo of an individual or couple and sent it to Amy's iPad where she created stylized 5"x7" images. Then Eric printed and packaged the drawings with a cardboard backing and a protective cellophane bag. After we posed for Eric's photo, I walked over to their station and saw dozens of packaged portraits waiting for their owners to claim them. In a while, ours was ready to go!
