She was quick to get back to me when I expressed interest in learning Spanish. I only had 1.5 weeks left in Oaxaca and we met every day for 3 hours until I left. She taught me everything I had requested and included other lessons essential to conversing with locals while traveling. Growing up in Oaxaca and the UK she does a great job translating the meaning of phrases and sentence structure. I think it's very important for your instructor to understand your language just as much as the one they are teaching. Aside from teaching she is a very enjoyable person to be around. We spent a large portion of our time laughing and discussing things we enjoy in Spanish. On our last day we went shopping in a village outside of the city and purchased produce to make a dish that she had given me the recipe for (in Spanish). It was so wonderful! One time he hadn't bought the materials and I waited over an hour for them to arrive. On another occasion, he hadn't set up the studio area and there were no tables and chairs. For the amount of money I paid it's crazy that things were such a mess. I ended up learning very little.

I called ahead asked for them to hold the materials for me and I would pick them up later. When I arrived they had my items in a bag ready for me to pay & pick up. Also there's a huge selection of materials for art projects. The prices are very reasonable... caution once they take your money you cannot exchange for anything - I paid for one set of art supplies and then (immediately) asked if I could change it for the more expensive one and was told NO!. Now I know :) I would recommend visiting this store for all you artistic needs. They have a large inventory to meet almost every need.
