My friend and I are at Crazy Burrito today. The restaurant had a person waiting for her takeout order. We took our seats. I took 2 menus, as the man was taking care of the to go order. Moments later he came over then took our drink order. By the time he brought our drinks over, we were ready to order. Our waiter explained a few things on the menu. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, my friend ordered the burrito. My meal came with rice and beans. The lunch special was very reasonable, $11.99. The tea was nasty $3.99 and a bottle of water $2.50! I admit, the food was delicious. The lunch special was small but filling. The music was great but there was no Mexican ambiance. There was left over Christmas decorations here and there. We wanted to order the churros. I practically had to go to the back of the restaurant to find someone. Finally he came out and took the order. He brought them out within 5 minutes. He asked us if we wanted anything else, we said no and we needed separate checks. He brought us a combined check. I told him we wanted separate. He told us if we wanted separate checks, we'd have to go to the counter. (A bit lazy) All in all, the food was good, the service just wasn't there. They might have more business if they took care of their customers better. Will we go back? Probably not. There are plenty of Mexican places to try. read more

If I could give this place a 10-star rating I would! We placed a to-go order just before closing time, and the queso birria tacos were delicious! We always had to travel to Tampa for good Mexican food and had been searching for an authentic Mexican restaurant in the area for a while, but we hadn't had any luck until now. I am so happy they opened here!! Love the "crazy" dishes - all of them. The birra tacos are fantastic. The red salsa is hot AF and will make your nose run. The green is spicy and tasty but more tolerable. Sour cream cools the red - love it!! I've got delivery 3 days in row, the crazy burrito, crazy nachos, and birra tacos are the go to's!! I ordered some chicken flautas/taquitos. This is my second time ordering from here to go and it had been a few months between. I asked a few questions about how they were prepared, simple things like if they were made with flour or corn tortillas, and what came with it, like sour cream, guacamole. Each time he had to put me on hold to find out answer because he didn't know. I went ahead and ordered the chicken flautas. Came in and picked them up and they didn't come with any chips or salsa. I've never been to a restaurant that doesn't include a side of chips and salsa when you order to go. I asked about it and he said they usually don't include it with flautas or they they do with all the other entrées. I pointed out on the menu that the flautas cost as much as most of their other entrées. He continued to say that it doesn't include it. I asked him if he was sure, this was my way of saying, if you don't I just won't come back. he said yes I'm sure so I left. Each time I've been there. I was the only one in the restaurant, I'm starting to see why it's always empty. I won't be back. It's a matter of principle. Plus, it says it comes with guacamole, but it didn't. I ordered the food to go, This place doesn't even deserve 1 star to be honest. During a recent hospital stay I chose to order from this restaurant. They advertise their tacos as coming as more than one in a serving and got 1 taco(that costs over $10) . I ordered a side of rice and beans and got a tiny small styrofoam container of rice and beans. I also got chips and salsa and the order was wrong there as I didnt get the salsa. This was a meal maybe worth $10 and I was charged over $30. What a joke read more

Found this place in yelp. Never knew there was a Mexican joint in the little Caesars shopping plaza. Tired a taco and burrito. Both were excellent Burrito was huge with a great portion of rice, meat and beans for a fair price (like $12-13) I will definitely be trying the taco salad next time. read more

When this place first opened it was really good. We have been several times and it has gone downhill. We ordered the signature burrito was delicious the first few times but now it contains mostly rice, beans and a few pieces of meat with wilted lettuce. Also if you dine in it's so hot in there, the thermostat read 81 degrees so if you like air conditioning while your eating don't count on it.
