First time at their new location (we'd been to their Buddy'z location on Val Vista/Baseline many times) happy to say their pizza is stil fantastic! Today we had a pepperoni and mushroom buttercrust pan pizza, because I was craving pan pizza and it did not disappoint!! SO good. That crust is fantastic! Good quality cheese as well. We also had the Crave sandwich with fries - my husband loved the sandwich, I would have preferred meatball but that is only my personal preference. Great homemade ranch and marinara sauces on the side, too. We finished up with the s'mores stuffed churro pocket dessert and THAT was absolutely divine! Even after a 15 minute drive home and then eating dinner first, it was still perfect. A must try! We also bought several of the handmade chocolates - haven't tried them yet but I'm sure they will be just as good as everything else was. We were told the owner makes those herself. We didn't get thin crust pizza this time, but we've had thin crust with sausage many times when they were Buddy'z and it was always very good. Overpriced and in the words of the call taker "we're not an actual real restaurant" when I asked bout eating in. One table seats 10 people, your family and some random people. Not our thing to share a table with random strangers. Especially during COVID! We were given a choice sit at 10 seat table or the bar. Having a 6 year old that doesn't work. We ordered and picked up, $40 for 14" pizza, salad (dressing was wrong and like 4 croutons, small too) and some dough nuggets!! A family walked to the "restaurant" with 2 kids, no seating available so they left! Think a lot of people will walk away with no seating available. Discovered Crave Pizza tonight. Excellent. Had the Beer Nuggets as an appetizer. Pizza dough bites with butter, Parmesan, garlic and marinara sauce. Very good! My wife and I had butter crust pizza! Great crust, lots of cheese and toppings! One of the best pizzas I have ever had. We ordered 10" pizzas with the thought we may have some leftovers. It was so thick I only ended up eating one piece and taking five home! The dining area is small but has a bar. Service was prompt and attentive. Sidney made great recommendations. Very disappointed in customer service and business operations. Your hours say you are open until 9, and yet I called at 8:31 and was told you closed your kitchen at 8:30. Now I ordered a pizza last week at 845 and it was no issue. One minute and she didn't want to take my order? Shows you loyalty towards one establishment is not worth it anymore. We followed these owners from Buddyz and tried Crave for the first time today. WOW! They have hit a grand slam with their menu. We had the limoncello slushy, Toast (prosciutto & jam), cheesy garlic bread, and 2 butter crust pizzas. We won't settle for lesser than Crave quality now. The food is fresh, flavorful and spot on the BEST Chicago pizza in Arizona. We will be making the 25 minute drive because we love the people and their product. Our server was also fantastic. So many negatives. I completely wanted to love this place! The photo on Facebook was mouthwatering. Here's what I don't like: pizza sauce was bitter and almost sour, small place with only a dozen stools at the bar and ONE TABLE, very limited hours, putrid taste to their water, food takes forever to arrive, and the bar prices are insanely high! A pizza place with a $9 glass of house wine?? Bottles $120-up?? Family owned and run, nice folks, but it just wasn't a good experience and we won't go back. read more

We first tried this place out a few weeks ago, maybe a month ago. We walked in and sat at the bar. First thing i noticed was the place is pretty small, i would call ahead for seating or take out if you can. Moving on, the next thing i noticed was the service. It was spectacular. A wine tasting, information on what wine would go best with my pizza. The conversation and knowledge from the people working there is splendid. Next is the food. I can't honestly express how amazing the pizza here actually is. The butter crust blew me away. It's my favorite hands down, anywhere in Arizona now. The ingredients are fresh, and the food was hot right out of the oven. I had the deep dish, with pepperoni, onion and olives. We've also tried their sandwiches that are equally delicious. If you want pizza, or a hot sub sandwich, great appetizers then this is your place. Please don't take my word for it, go try this place out for yourself. We live within a block of this place and have been meaning to try it since it opened. Finally went a couple weeks ago and WOW - so good. We've been multiple times now. You can taste the quality of the food. And the price is so very reasonable for the quality and what you get...even in this crappy economy I thought their price of a deep dish was very reasonable. My husband has gotten deep dish and butter crust and had enjoyed both. I am in love with the caprese sandwich with the homemade onion rings - so freaking good and I literally Crave it. Was there for the first time over the weekend. Really like their pizza. I ordered the butter crust with cheese and sausage (I am from Chicago area) and it was VERY good. The pizza was almost like a thick crust pizza, but not quite deep dish, which they do have. Maybe I will try that the next time. I will be back. Best local pizza near our house in Encore of Eastmark - 7 miles. I will raise my recommendation after trying the others. I do prefer a thin crust, but heck - it was good! I wish they were closer. Heck, Eastmark is designing a retail / restaurant area at Ellsworth and Ray. Open another one there and I will be there every week. read more

I went to Crave for pizza last night and it was amazing!!!!!! I grew up eating Chicago pizza and this is as good as it gets. I travel a lot and I always have to try the local pizza. I even spent a week in NY just to try all of the different NY style pizza. With that being said, Crave beats them all, the owners are extremely friendly and the service was great. read more

Wow, what a find! I searched "pizza" on Yelp to find something different in my area than my usual go to and Crave came up. After reading the reviews and seeing how close it was I thought we'd give a shot. We ordered the Beer Nuggets and Cheese Nuggets, both excellent! I couldn't believe the serving size of Beer Nuggets! We ordered the 14" Meat Craver with butter crust and it was delicious. Plenty of leftovers, too. Not a big place at all, call ahead if you have more than 3-4, I think my kids and I got lucky there were spots at the bar. Great service and atmosphere, owners are extremely friendly! I tried this place for the first time last night with my wife and kids. I love to support local businesses so I was excited to find another local pizza place to check out. I am glad to say that Crave did not disappoint. Right when we walked in, the owner Randy helped us get a spot at the bar as the place is pretty small and seats are at a premium. I was excited to see that they had a couple of good local beers on Tap and I enjoyed talking to Randy about how they had picked their selection and what he wants to serve in the future. For food we ordered some cheesy garlic bread, a deep dish pizza and a thin crust pizza. The deep dish was one of the best I have ever had with a huge amount of cheese and toppings. The pizza came out about as hot as it can which was impressive. The thin crust was also very good so you really can't lose at this place. The garlic cheesy bread was a huge portion and easily satisfied 2 starving teenagers. On top of the good food, Randy was super nice and genuinely seemed excited to be serving his awesome food, even taking time to ask our names and to encourage us to come back and try more amazing food.
