This is where I joined the Northumberland library although your card can be used in any library in Northumberland. Big selection of books, DVD and CDs. Computer section. Often have events for children and adult readers. read more

There's a reasonable selection of books and audio-visual items in this library, along with friendly and helpful staff. They run events for children during holiday time which tend to be popular and are the result of much hard work by the staff. The library also offers internet access as well as access to some subscription-only reference sites. read more

Cramlington Libary has recently aquired the former councill offices. The building is fairly new and modern and spacious and plenty of natural light. There is three floors but only two are for public use. There is a large childrens section on the Ground floor, with computers and very creative enviroment. Upstairs again very good selection of books. For a libary it's quite high tech! The book in and out system is fully automated, however staff are avaliable should you require any assistance and are mostly friendly and helpful. read more

Dreadfully disappointing. The Library used to be situated in a purpose built building then transferred to the new Council Offices. However the Council saw fit to close this superb location down and now the Library is shoved into a neuk of Concordia Leisure Centre, with a few shelves on the balcony beside the traffic of the lifts and the noise of the beat music from the exercise rooms. It has the look of a second hand book repository with very few detailed sections and a poor selection of books, looking much the worse for wear. read more

For the second largest library in Northumberland, Cramlington library is surprisingly small! It does have a fair selection of books, but they are very mainstream. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary e.g. plays or poetry, you are out of luck. There is a good children's section however with small chairs and a novelty train type book box that the kids enjoy sitting on. It does run reading sessions for toddlers. read more
