This is not a bad review on Dr. Porter. She's great. This is with regard to the front desk staff. I…read morewas suffering from a sinus infection and knew I needed an antibiotic. I phoned the office on a Thursday and asked for a call back. I would go in, if necessary, but did not know their restrictions for Covid. I never got a call back on that day or the next. When I did call back on Friday, the office had closed for the day (1 pm) and the service at that same number was not taking messages. I contacted my pharmacy, which faxed a request to the office on my behalf and it was denied, probably because I had not been seen by the doctor, which tells me she didn't get my message. I still had had no contact with my doctor and spent a very miserable, painful weekend before calling a telemedicine doctor and obtaining a simple antibiotic. This same scenario took place in June where I wanted a consult and did not receive a call back, so this isn't the first time the front staff at Dr Porter's has ignored calls or been very unhelpful and unfriendly. If possible, they are even more irritable and unfriendly in person. There were others complaining about the staff when I was in the waiting room at my annual physical earlier this year so this isn't just my opinion. Because of the staff alone, I am looking for another doctor. I love Dr. Porter and it's really too bad that she probably doesn't even know how the staff treats her patients. Everyone deserves a doctor whose staff cares as much about the patients as the doctor does. This office doesn't have that kind of staff. Anyone reading this and looking for a doctor should know you can expect deep sighs and eye-rolls from the staff in Dr. Porter's office. It makes your health seem very unimportant.

My problem is that I am having some flu-like symptoms and would like to get a referral for a COVID-19 test. Dr. D'Auria is a top rate Dr. He has been my Doctor for 30 years. He is very thorough and…read moreattentive to issues. If someone is going to find it, it's Dr D'Auria. His staff has stayed with him over the years and speaks highly of how they are treated which says A LOT about a Doctor. The hospital staff says the same. He is one of the only doctors who shows up at the hospital to check on you. I'm not sure how he does it. His staff is equally as kind. Through the years he has sat next to me to comfort me as I sobbed and has put his hand in my forehead to pray for me. His staff returns calls promptly and never makes you feel like a hindrance. He then turned me away and said, "the bad news is there is nothing wrong with your ears, and the good news is there is nothing wrong with your ears." I felt very disappointed in this information as he did not provide or offer any more tests to see if there may be a deeper more complex issue. I urged him to try and think of anything else that may be causing. The pressure in my ears made it nearly impossible to drive, caused problems for my daily activities and interfered with my all around daily activities. He was very short, and disingenuous. I sincerely feel he did not care about my issue and was even laughing as if he thought my symptoms to be a joke. I went to another Dr. in Niles, OH at the Lippy Group. He sent me through similar testing and was able to diagnose my symptoms through his experience in the field. I have Meniere's Disease, and fluid buildup in my inner ear. I do not recommend Dr. Wood to anyone. Terrible bed side manner, and lack of knowledge and good experience.

My son went to emergency room for pain. He found out he had 3 fractures in his back. With regard to…read morethe pain, his reason for the visit, a prescription was written for oxycodone acetaminophen. No back brace was given for support. The prescription given was not correctly signed by the physician so no pharmacy would fill it. When brought to ER attention, nothing would be done because prescribing physician was not there. Therefore the only way he would get pain relief because of inability to correctly fill out a prescription would to be seen again. This is a waste of insurance money let alone any type of compassion or quality care.
