Coming from LA, there is a lot of boba shops to compete with in Cali, but Crafti I definitely feel like could compete with the best out there. My go to order is the passion fruit tea with boba added to it, but I've also tried their lavender matcha and seasonal drinks. I didn't know what to expect, but as a good Yelp wing woman, I quickly said "I'm in." Boy, does this place live up to a hug in a cup!! There is plenty of parking around the location. Upon entering, you are greeted with bright and happy decor. I really enjoyed the ambiance of this location. I ordered a Thai iced tea ($4.75) with cotton foam ($0.75) added on top. Drinks: I've gotten the taro milk w/ boba and the jasmine milk tea w/ boba. The taro milk is fixed sweetness, but its not too sweet, which is good. If you like drinks a little sweeter, the boba adds a nice touch if sweetness. I like how there are taro chunks that add texture. Overall 8.5/10, prob one of the best taro drinks I've had in az. I brought my son with me for a CRAFTI tea date! I had the matcha lavender boba tea and he had the pink paradise. The matcha lavender was crafted perfectly, delicious and the boba was the right amount of chewiness. My son stated that his pink paradise was, "sour & sweet and so yummy, I want to drink it again!" It's a mix of yakult, sparkling water, and a strawberry syrup, not too sweet, the perfect combo for a 4yo! We have met the owner Rachel who is absolutely the sweetest, sharing her story of how she decided to open up her first boba tea shop. She plans to hold sip and craft events in the future which is an amazing idea! Crafti is one of the best boba places in the Valley! It is located in the same parking lot as Mekong Plaza shopping center, but in the smaller strip mall located closer to the bank. The super friendly owner spends a lot of time there and it shows, as the staff is all welcoming and knowledgeable with plenty of terrific drink recommendations! On our first visit, we were talking with the owner/manager and a customer came in asking if this was the same place that used to be at that location because they thought it was good in which the owner/manager said it was not the same place but offered the customer a look at the menu. The customer then went back outside to tell the people they were with about the place to get their orders. We made eye contact with the owner/manager and telepathically knew what we just heard before telling her the previous place was not good. Anyways, on to the drinks! The House Oolong Milk Tea with boba ($5.50) and the Passion Fruit Green Tea with pink crystals ($5.50) were both good. There was a lot of tea flavor in the House Oolong Milk Tea and the boba was chewy. The Passion Fruit Green Tea with pink crystals was refreshing and the pink crystals added a different texture to the drink. On one of our later visits, we tried the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba and that was not bad. The flavor was there and definitely a go-to drink along with the House Oolong Milk Tea. This tasted like a faded photograph. Strawberry lemon green tea - I liked this drink. Not too sweet, green tea flavor was there too. Refreshing and perfect for a hot day, which is literally every day. Try this out. They have some games in a corner and sticky notes you can write on, with some laminated stickies in the back on display. Good study space/place to hang for a bit near Mekong. I'm glad I got to come here, it's definitely been in my list of boba joint that I've been looking at . As I stepped into the entrance I was immediately met with a warm welcome from staff! As we stepped up the girl at the cash register asked if it was our first time, as it was! So she offered help on the menu, it was a bit hard to decide what I wanted but ultimately I opted for the strawberry earl grey milk tea, with regular boba and cloud cream or foam. I also tried the other drinks in the picture, these being the sunset sparkle, matcha lavender milk tea, and the caramel cloud drink. Overall this place is a great location, the drinks are well done. Love the fact there is customization in the ice and sweetness levels, and the toppings! The flavor of the milk tea is good in all drinks, and the boba is a very good chewy consistency, with just the right amount of sweetness! There is unique flavors and variations too which I haven't seen at other boba shops. The sparkle drink was also very fun it's nice to see drinks that are both fun and tasty. After shopping at Mekong Supermarket I had a hankering for some bodacious bubbles so off we went in search of this little boba shop! We initially thought it was part of the large Mekong building complex but turns out it's actually in front of it in its own separate stand alone structure which will also house a crawfish restaurant in the future so that will be an exciting combo to have seafood and boba all in the same spot! I thought the menu looked great, and the prices were very reasonable too. After reading some other reviews raving about the lavender matcha I tried that with tea jelly for the full tea laden experience. Note that the lavender matcha sweetness can't be adjusted but it is already lightly sweet, about 50% sweetness by default the bobarista said to me. I also tried some of the peach oolong at 50% sweetness. The lavender matcha was super refreshing and I liked the very nice balance of matcha, milk, and lavender. The tea jelly was delicious. The peach oolong was very lightly sweet at 50% but also refreshing. I'd probably opt for 75% sweetness if I were to order this again. With many more intriguing tea options on the menu I will have to come back to try more! Likes- I've been here a few times now and the staff is consistently always nice. The aesthetics is pleasing, I like the minimalist cozy vibe. The pumpkin drink which is seasonal I believe is pretty good. Their matcha marshmallow cookies are delish! They also sell some cute things from local artists. My girls always enjoy drawing on the post its to hang on their wall. They serve quality tea which is always a plus. Dislikes- They don't have a huge variety of drinks to choose from, which is not a bad thing but what they do offer doesn't appeal to me like carbonated boba drinks, teas like earl grey or anything with flower flavors like rose and lavender. Oddly the two times I went and wanted their taro, it was not available. The cloudy caramel is very diluted and doesn't taste great, my friend even threw it away after a few sips. When I went a second time and asked if the wintermelon was caffeinated bc I wanted it for my 4 year old, the girl said it is but she can make it non caffeinated. But then I didn't realize after I took a few sips she gave me a cloudy caramel! So weird and disappointing. This place isn't bad, just other boba tea places that offer what I prefer. I really enjoyed the matcha lavender milk tea especially. The flavor of the matcha was light and not overly-aggressive with a soft lavender flavor on the backend. You can't go wrong with either the rose jelly or pink crystals toppings so I recommend either one. Crafti Tea is such a cute place with minimalistic decor. It can get loud in there once it starts getting crowded but there's a good amount of seating if you want to sit around and have some meaningful conversations with the friends. What a strong start for this new cafe! I highly recommend paying them a visit. First of all, the service was amazing. I was warmly greeted by the employee at the register as soon as I walked in, and she gave me a thorough overview of the highlights of the drink menu and add-ons. After I got my first drink, she came to my table check in with me and gently asked for my feedback. It seems like they're really dedicated to thinking about future improvements for the shop! Strawberry rose earl grey tea + cloud foam: the tea was SO GOOD! The drink had a great balance of strawberry rose syrup and tea, in a way that neither overshadowed the other. I do think the earl grey tea has room to be a little more saturated, and it would still stand up nicely to the syrups. I would also recommend ordering this with their pink crystal boba - slightly "crunchy" agar jelly in a sweet, fruity syrup, kind of like those Asian jelly cups from the big plastic jars I'd eat as a kid. That topping would probably add a welcome, extra touch of sweetness to the drink. Their crema was great too - only slightly salted and I imagine it would go great with their array of teas. My feedback for the employee was to increase the ratio of crema to tea, since the drink comes in a slightly larger cup than most places. Matcha lavender milk tea + boba: this was also delicious, and it was a huge plus that this drink is lactose-free! The lavender syrup they use is divine. The floral flavor of the lavender stands out but isn't overpowering. Tea-wise, I think I would prefer a slightly stronger matcha taste. The boba was cooked to a bouncy texture, which was great. I do wish it was steeped in a stronger honey or brown sugar syrup to add another depth of flavor to the boba. The vibes here are also immaculate for working or having a chill catch-up with a friend! I almost don't want to talk about how there are open tables perfect for studying because I want to keep this place my little secret, haha. You'll see some of these other reviews mention that they got some nice options. I got a seasonal drink that had lavender in it with carbonation and crystal boba. I'm not gonna lie - it was not good. It tasted like seltzer water with boba. I didn't really taste lavender or maybe the ice watered it down too much. With that being said, my friend got a special order of a menu item with no sweetness and hot. They happily accommodated the request but did warn her about it probably not tasting as good/they've never done what she requested before. They eagerly offered to make her a new one if she didn't like it. Staff was nice and helpful. Drinks didn't take long to get and a good bit of seating options in there.
