I always dread renewing my ACLS every 2 years, it's such a gruesome experience with megacodes, EKG…read morereadings, etc. I usually get my renewal through work but this year I decided to try something different. I wanted to try a renewal outside of work with the hopes that it is less stressful. I came across this place through my Yelp search based on the high ratings. When I went to the website, the option to renewal was online portion + skills assessment. I was worried about the skills assessment. I purchased it and scheduled my skills assessment. The online portion is something I have done in the past with my other renewals which really helps prep you with the algorithms and lots of feedback. The online portion is nice because you work at your own pace, on your own time. You must completed the online portion in order to do the skills assessment in person. Before my skills assessment, I received very helpful e-mails to help me pass my skills assessment. They had some videos and helpful tips in the e-mail. When I arrived to the location at San Ramon, I was a little confused as I easily missed the door and was very lost. I called the phone number and they were very helpful in guiding me on where to go. There is NO instructor there, it's just a manikin hooked up to the computer that assesses the skill. I thought the videos helped me pass the skills assessment. I did have to re-do some sections a couple times but the feedback from the computer helped me and I think the e-mail tips clicked after doing the skills assessment. Overall, the skills assessment was definitely less stressful than I expected. It wasn't that bad. I definitely plan to return to do my BLS + ACLS renewal here, it's very chill and at your own pace! I love it. This really eases my anxiety regarding renewal, I would highly recommend for anyone that wants to renew! Everything is at your own pace. You do only have an hour to do the skills assessment, which I felt was PLENTY of time! The skills assessment focuses mainly on the breaths/compressions of CPR and 2:1 teamwork.

I went to the Castro Valley location, the same location I have used since last year. I love that this location has its own little parking lot in the back and you just follow the instructions which are emailed to you in order to access the office where you will do your skills testing. Not that this is a dealbreaker, but just be aware there is no restroom at this location. Last year I recall there used to be, but they have now locked the adjoining door so you cannot access the restroom if you need to go. The other thing was it doesn't seem that the cart the mannequin is on is able to be moved; or maybe I just couldn't move it? I went in the morning hours and the sun was shining right in my eyes. Just be forewarned if you decide to go to the Castro Valley location - - use the bathroom first and you may want to bring some sunglasses just in case LOL

Because…read moreof employers requiring certification within 5 years I have had to sit through OSHA 10 three times and OSHA 30 once. I have never heard of the nonsense that is in this section of their OSHA 10 course. " one system we use is Brainstorming " Who is "We" they don't ever tell you that. what they tell you is to stop work and get everyone together come up with solutions " go for quantity not quality, some times the best ideas come from left field" This before bringing the problem to your supervisor. I could go on. The point of this has nothing to do with OSHA regulations "if your solutions don't work your supervisor may have to call in an expert" The answers to the idiotic questions in this section serve no purpose in a real life construction scenario. If you encounter a hazard you bring it to your supervisor. They talk about the competent person in other sections. The competent person is the one that should address hazards, not the guys with tools in their hands. My advice would be to go elsewhere for your training. The fact that OSHA endorses this company really makes me wonder if they even know what's being taught by this company. some of it will do nothing to keep workers safe

I work night shifts and I had to change the date 3 times prior to finally taking the course: they never charged me a rescheduling fee, and i did it online. They have several classes across the Bay Area. This particular class in concord offered water, coffee and light snacks, and has a restroom within the classroom. I also appreciated the attention to cleanliness and infection prevention. The CPR manikins were very clean, and each participant was given their own breathing tube, so there was no passing of germs between students. I especially appreciated that Josh was able to accommodate my personal medical condition and ensure I was comfortable throughout the training. Last time i went to the Antioch location, but this time went to the Concord one off Clayton Rd. I'm glad there are multiple locations to choose from to find the date/time available that work for me. Very easy to find the building. Each time so far has been an easy and pleasant experience, the simulation gives great feedback. I love that i can get it done at my own pace depending on how I do on each module. See you again in 2 years! :)

This was the most enjoyable CPR course I've ever taken! Kat is such an amazing instructor, extremely supportive and kind, very funny, and keeps the content entertaining. I was able to easily stay engaged and was very comfortable the entire time (I know courses can sometimes be intimidating). I walked away feeling educated and very prepared, and learned a lot despite this being another renewal for me! Convenient for BLS Renewals…read more Found this company on the American Heart Association website, an approved cite by my college to earn a BLS provider certificate as a nursing student. It was one of the closest options. I had a few bumps in the road, but was satisfied overall. If you are familiar with BLS techniques and just need to renew your certification, this is an outstanding option and one that I will certainly do in the future. There are two parts to the certification. First, you complete an online course. It's conveniently available 24/7 once pushed to you. It must be completed before your scheduled exam. It was loaded with helpful videos to pass the course. Then, you attend the exam which is an assessment of your new skills. It sounds scary but it's not. The computer prompts you with helpful instructions to pass. Heads-up, there is no staff at the center. You will receive a code to let you in at your scheduled time. Once there, sanitize your hands at the table, put gloves on, grab the ambu bags, sign into the computer, and follow the instructions. If you know what you are doing, you'll be done in 20 minutes. This process is so efficient. I loved having full autonomy over my success. You will too!
