    Crab Dip

Went here Saturday night around 11 pm, the inside was really loud and busy so we chose to sit outside. We were originally sat at a two seater but it was way too small to also eat food at so we asked to be moved to a bigger table. The waitress didn't tell us specifically which table to move to just that we "could move when we're ready." We ended up moving tables like three times because each one we picked either had a huge spider dangling above it or there was a spider on the wall next to the table, all before she finally told us specifically which table she had cleaned off for us lol. We ordered their Miami vice drink (5/10) it was sweet with a yummy flavor, but had literally no alcohol or like the smallest amount. The crab dip (5/10) very underwhelming honestly. The boneless wings with hot garlic parmesan (7/10) the flavor was decent, but really just a mediocre boneless wing. Overall we just weren't impressed with the atmosphere and what we ordered. Maybe we didn't order the right things or it was a bad night? Not sure yet if I plan to return. My overall rate of experience : 4.5/10

I think our chef went heavy handed on the salt. Everything we ordered was salty except for the raw oysters. That was the only thing that was salt free. Lumpia was decent, the pretzel with cheese, good god the cheese was salty. The Rockefeller oyster was decent. Sweet potato fries, you can't mess that up. The butterfly shrimp was such a disappointment. They were thin and chewy. I was hoping for some plumped shrimps but nope. Popeyes butterfly shrimp is 10x better. Fries were all cold. Crab cakes was ok, I've had better up north but out of all the entrees we ordered, that was the best. Poor little bro ordered soup as his meal and that too was too salty so he didn't bother eating it. The pasta we order was disgusting. It's not what I imagined, it has a word taste to it. I thought it would be like Alfredo creamy pasta. Overall meh, I wish I did better, these reviews tricked me.

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon after a long walk at the boardwalk. Easy to find, not that far from the boardwalk. Got seated right away. Very casual atmosphere. It's a bar with lots of TVs. Our table even had a relatively smaller TV just for ourselves. Other tables had their own smaller TV as well. Service was quick. Poke tuna appetizer (not the meal) was fresh. Little neck clams were good. Nice spot close to the beach.

AMAZING experience here!!! The wait time was long but it was completely worth it. I loved that I could order an appetizer of just blackened tuna (the "shuckers") because I didn't want the sides that came with the standard tuna dinner. It was a lot of tuna and tasted so fresh and delicious!! They cooked it to perfection, and seasoned it very well. My favorite dish though, was the crab soup. I CANT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH. It was so rich and creamy, and the crab flavor was strong and perfect. For $8 for a sizable bowl, I was very happy. My friends had the Cajun pasta, calamari, and tuna dinner, and all loved their dishes too. We ate in the upstairs seating, and it was very spacious and lively. The only part I didn't love was the large screens that were everywhere, but I guess that's expected with a bar. Overall I would absolutely come back again!!

Very lively spot! We got there just after happy hour, and the valet said we just missed the crowd. It was fun and lively all the same, and my husband was real comfortable as his game was playing on one of the many tvs. Our server, Brittany, was absolutely awesome. Super nice and super attentive. Food was good too! Had flavor and the menu had a bunch of variety! It's wasn't all over the place either. A lot of structured options. Great spot. We would definitely come back.

Came to town late Nov for my wife's bday and next day while she did some wine stuff, I walked down the beach intent on cutting up to CP Shuckers. I was the only one on patio (it was a typical coldish day for Nov) but not disappointed, and Ally brought a water bowl out for my pups w/o my even asking. TVs had sports on and the gingerbread stout was great! I got some steak bites to share w the dogs--oh and thank you!--A cook that knows what medium rare is and doesn't serve it as medium! I really like the vibe on the elevated deck. The menu has a ton to choose from--the beef lumpia ended up being my next order, which was a great call--and the happy hour specials that start just as I'm leaving (3-7 M-F) are amazing--lots of food and drink that's more or less half off estimating). Very friendly staff--not just my server, Ally, but also a bartender and manager looking busy shifting from different rooms--every time they passed me they'd compliment my dogs or asked how my beer was. I had to duck inside to tell the hostess I had dogs to sit outside, and the atmosphere inside was warm and lively too--a good # of people for a post lunch / pre-happy hour. Bottom line, food, ambiance, service, and just plain neighborly, CP Shuckers made a guy and 2 Aussies feel welcome and at home. 5 STARS!

The service here was great- super friendly! We had my family's dogs with us and they were very accommodating and dog friendly. For an appetizer my mom got the tuna bites, which was honestly a fresh piece of tuna- very impressed. I ordered the bay chips and cheese, the chips were freshly made and the cheese was pretty good. My mom and I both got the she crap soup. I did the cup which was more than enough as it's very, very flavored, and after a while I was a bit sick of it. It was good, but be prepared for something very different than you are used to. The steamed shrimp was good. Two people I was with got the prime rib dip which was very good! My sister got the pickle fries which were also good and the ranch was obviously homemade and very good. I tried the orange crush and another tropical one. Both were good, but the tropical one was definitely better.

WOW! Traveling from Jersey and we wanted something simple to eat, and we found just the spot! Cool American vibe bar/restaurant, with very friendly staff. We ordered watermelon margaritas and a virgin strawberry daiquiri for the little one - for drinks. For food we got wings (traditional - mild & boneless - bbq) and also a crab dip. In a whole week spent in Virginia Beach this was my favorite meal honestly. Simplifying everything and just say, 5 stars, definitely recommend! Hope I can come back some day

We knew we found our home for Opening Day as soon as we saw that Old English "D" flying out front! Loved the individual TVs at each booth downstairs. Unfortunately we didn't arrive early enough. Huge props to the service team that was patient with our anxiousness as we waited on them to get our Tigers on within our view! It's gotta be rough managing the sports crowd on Opening Day competing with Sweet Sixteen! Our server always had a smile for us! The food did not disappoint either! The cheese sauce for the house made chips was reminiscent to my favorite cheddar beer soup recipe! The serving size of the drunken shrimp was plentiful! And the Orange Crush delivered as well! Even at the $5 daily special! If we were staying longer we'd likely be back! And if we were local it would be a regular spot!

Great find. We went for happy hour and had beers and appetizers. We sat at the bar. Lots of sports on tv, friendly and fast service, big portions.

CP Shuckers is a great spot for late night eats near the Oceanfront and since we were looking for a spot to dine in and grab a drink, we decided to stop in. We arrived close to 10pm on a Wednesday night and were carded before being able to enter. Since no one was at the podium when we walked in, we figured we could seat ourselves and we did. Even though this spot has a large bar area (which was packed), I like how the dining area is far enough away so that you can dine in peace. The server was really nice and took our orders right away. I decided on the Fish and Chips and a Margarita. Everything was served pretty quickly. The drink was okay and the food was decent. The fish seemed a tad bit overcooked but wasn't unbearable. It was served with a remoulade sauce which was pretty tasty. CP Shuckers is open till 2 AM, 7 days a week so it's definitely a decent spot to head to if you're looking for some food and drinks late in the night or any time. I will probably return and try some other items but definitely check them out next time you're in the area.

A place where men go to die. A rare combination of great food at a no frills sports bar. If you don't like this place you don't like life. The she crab soup was spectacular. The crab cakes are exactly what you want with no filler whatsoever. Service was on point. All around great.

BAD: Not much, a little pricey but if you stick to the sandwiches, given it's beach town, the value is reasonable. Other menu items get into the 30s quick and appetizers are steep. Lager Heads was on the agenda from some restaurant research. Iam glad I tried it - the burger felt like a 1/2 pounder, juicy and seasoned, yet still cooked perfect. The fries are seasoned, very crispy and came with the burger which I liked. They had a great line up of burgers, I'd love to try another. The Knockout burger was fantastic, but the Cowboy burger on texas toast sounded great as well. You'll quickly leave the 17 to 20 dollar range if you leave sandwiches, but the service, the portions, and the quality make it worth a treat. It was February, so I couldn't partake in what looked like great outdoor seating. That's something else I'd like to try if I returned in the summer.

The atmosphere is perfect for that more intimate experience for lunch and dinner and the light decor was nice and unique with cozy seating with perfect views of the ocean water . We came during restaurant week this spot was very good from the service the space and food we did their $20 lunch menu which included appetizers and entrees portions were definitely worth the option they had. I did the Caesar salad, a nice light salad surprisingly to start off with the entrée which was their burger and that burger was well seasoned well prepared delicious it's honestly my favorite will be back again for it during the summertime or another dine in plus you can do either the lunch or dinner option anytime during restaurant week the only difference is dinner gives you a dessert and that is $35 per person. The drink was a good choice to pair with our food. my favorite was their orange crush a perfect classic for the beach. Definitely a drink to have in the summer if you want a good crush they got an option with different flavors I did the original orange crush which was light and sweet. Overall a good start to restaurant week and trying something different.

She had always wanted to try it, it had a happy hour menu with food and drinks, so why not. We parked, walked the few feet over, got seated outside, and waited. Our waitress, Taya, was an absolute gem. Only 2 months working there and she was in her element for us. It was quite humid outside but it wasnt uncomfortable. The inside though was big and spacious (the big wall of Makers Mark alcohol bottles was quite a site to see). Now onto the food and drinks: For drinks I ordered their Catch 31 Orange Crush (delicious) and they went out of their way to prepare me a Irish Car Bomb (shot of Baileys Irish Cream in a pint of Guinness) the best they could and it worked out beautifully. My wife just had her favorite Blue Moon on tap and she had no complaints. For food we ordered a Buffalo Mac and Cheese (wife), The Mack (me) and coconut shrimp (share). The Mac and cheese my wife had blew her mind. The couple bites I took I could see why. The buffalo chicken on top was melt in your mouth tender and the cheese sauce balanced the spice out nicely. The Mack I had was a double cheeseburger with thousand island dressing, lettuce, onions, tomato, and pickles. I've mentioned the best burger I've ever had came from Smashed RVA but now it has competition in this one. It was fresh, juicy, and the toasted bun made it all come together. So good in fact I ordered a second one to go. Speaking of... The coconut shrimp we shared was so tender and the sweet chili dipping sauce would make your eyes pop out your head. It was spot on cooked, nice golden brown color, and very flavorful. My wife doesn't even like spicy food or coconut even but even she said she loved all of it. We got a second order of the shrimp to take home too. I talked to the manager on duty, named William, and told him my feelings and thanked him for a wonderful experience and meal and that we would definitely be back again. I can't speak for the people who gave this place negative feedback but I can say for my wife and I we had zero issues with the service, staff, and food.

Oceanfront views, open windows, and a coastal, airy vibe make it a genuinely scenic spot. Perfect for sunset dinners or drinks with the water right there. The energy at the bar was lively but not overwhelming. Clam Chowder: Rich, creamy, good balance of clams to potatoes. Classic and comforting. House Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing: Fresh greens, generous portion of blue cheese. Tangy and well-dressed without being soggy. Burger: Flavor was excellent, juicy, well-seasoned. Came out slightly overcooked for my preference, but still delicious. Drinks: Two Old Fashioneds were balanced and strong. Also had a shot of Jim Beam bourbon. This is where the experience fell short. I'm a 20%+ tipper and I sit at bars often, so I understand how busy it gets. But the difference in service was hard to miss. Tatiana (bartender): Greeting took much longer than other guests. I wasn't asked if I was eating or drinking right away, yet I watched her promptly greet others, offer water, take orders, then ask for a card. With me, she asked for a card for the tab immediately. The interaction felt noticeably different from how she treated other patrons. I give grace when I can, but the contrast was clear and can't be ignored. I also noted her manager appeared to be a Black man, which made the disparity feel even more disappointing. Hayden (bar back): Cool and helpful. Stepped in, checked on things, and was genuinely hospitable. I reluctantly left her 15%. Honestly, I didn't want to give her anything at all but a piece of my mind. The good Lord Jesus is working on me, so I left the 15% and walked away. As a regular 20%+ tipper, that drop speaks volumes about how the service felt. Pros: Scenic oceanfront atmosphere, good food with strong flavors, solid cocktails. Hayden's help improved the night. Cons: Inconsistent bar service. The burger was slightly overcooked. Most concerning was feeling singled out by Tatiana's approach compared to other guests. Catch 31 delivers on location and food. The view and the chowder alone are worth a stop. But the service experience at the bar was uneven and left me feeling offended as a paying customer who tips well. I hope management addresses the disparity, because the place has too much potential to be weighed down by that. Would return for the food and view, but hesitant about the bar experience with Tatiana.
