The appointment time came and went, but I didn't hear from them. I gave them a day to reach out, but they didn't. I finally sent a note saying that I was disappointed that they weren't able to come to our appointment. Their only response was that they were delayed by rain on another job. Delay for rain I understand. Failing to call to cancel or reschedule an appointment I do not understand. They might be the best guys in town, but if they don't communicate well, that doesn't bode well for them doing what I actually want them to do.

Since we moved to urbana we've had a hard time getting any tree service companies to follow up and work with us and I couldn't be happier that we found Downing's Tree service. They also did an amazing job cleaning everything up afterwards as well as trying to leave as little track as possible where they had to get up in our yard by the house which is impressive because our house is on a heavy slope. They were still able to get the truck in their with the skid steer and get everything done quick and clean. Couldn't recommend these guys more. Not to mention the prices were more fair than anyone else we talked to. Give these guys a shout and you wont regret it!

She tells me she can't provide one without seeing the tree. I tell her it's a normal sized tree in a residential back yard, and i'm not looking for a verbal contract, just a ballpark range for their services. She repeats her prior statement, with obvious disgust and frustration in her voice, that their crew has to come out and inspect before any estimate can be provided. Really? I'm sure people call for this sort of occurrence all the time and you can't give me a range of typical prices? I called the guy who mows my lawn and he took care of it the same day for $900.
