Cozzi is a local spot right off the JMZ Lorimer stop. The staff are all extremely kind and welcoming. I live very close by so it's become a go-to spot for me. In terms of pizza, the quality is solid. The food is really good. The delivery guy is a thief. He tried stealing money from me twice already. It's exactly why I ask how much my order is before they send it. 1st time he said he needed changed and he went to the store on the corner bought a beer and rode his bike by me without stopping to give me my 5 dollars in change on top of the tip I already gave him. He literally delivered from a block away. I had to call the store to get my money back. Honestly pretty disappointed been eating here for 10 plus years. Basically grew up knowing this spot as my go to pizza place. The service was always top notch and friendly. But recently the quality of the food has gone downhill the slices got too much oil the taste of the food isn't fresh anymore and seem different from what I'm used too. The lasagna had little to no flavor at all. The sauce is just watery and gross. It makes me sad knowing what's happening to this spot I've known for so long now. Ordered online from GrubHub for delivery. Never knew of the place but they had a 4 star review on GrubHub (but no actual reviews in hindsight). Within a few minutes of ordering I got a call asking for directions. I knew this was a bad sign!! They are a 10 minute walk from me, and don't know where I am - nor do they have a map or the interwebs?? Ludicrous! Food arrived in about 40 mins. I ordered a Large pizza - it's massive!! Definitely enough for 2-3 people. The problem is trying to find 2-3 people who'd want to eat it! It was super bland and the cheese, while still ooey and gooey, was crap too. The crust was just plain, white crust. The mushrooms were canned and still had that overpowering tin-can-mushroom taste. Yuck! We also ordered wings, and they were so breaded that I thought they were boneless! They were also a D in my book. Soggy, over breaded, teensy tiny actual wings. The garlic knots that came both with the wings and on the pizza were the best part. While definitely wonder bread-y, they still were nice and garlicky. And still good the next day. If you just like to eat food (or if you are really high or something) then this is a good place to go. I ordered the mozzarella sticks and a chicken parmesan sandwich which took a long time to come from the back and unfortunately tasted like nothing. I am not sure where or how they are getting their food but it is definitely low quality and frozen. Also there is a $10 credit minimum when ordering in the store. The guy at the register also forgot to put my drink in the bag when I ordered. When looking around they seem to be terribly inefficient as I saw a pie sitting on a table for at least five minutes before the delivery man took it. I may go back and try the pizza. read more

Been a customer of this pizzeria for a while now. Their slices are huge and they put a lot of toppings on it, so much that sometimes it's too much. I cannot believe how disappointed I was with my delivery order last night. Normally I just get pizza from Cozzi and it's decent (not AMAZING- but you know, good, need a slice now, I'm kinda drunk) pizza. Last night I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Hero, Garlic Knots, Calamari (shame on me for that one), and a Chicken Parm Hero. Here goes: 1. Man on the phone specifically said he would put bleu cheese on the side for the Buffalo Chicken Hero and I got NOTHING 2. Buffalo Chicken Hero was borderline BBQ Sauce Chicken Hero 3. Garlic Knots were small rolls with a few sprinkles of garlic here & there and DRY 4. Calamari (Ugh, what was I thinking getting calamari delivered??) was tasteless and chewy in a way that makes you not want to eat anymore of it 5. Chicken Parm Hero I didn't even try because I was so annoyed at the rest of the food 6. There was no dipping sauce for our dry Garlic Knots 7. Not even one star. I have never written a review before, but I am beyond angry with this establishment. I made the mistake of ordering from here to get pizza and garlic knots. I placed the order at 3:15 pm on a Saturday. At around 4:35 pm, a man called me from his cell phone asking me where I lived. I told him, and had to explain in detail to him how to get here. He kept saying he was at "the station" and asked me again to explain how to get to my house. I looked it up on google maps, and this place is on Broadway, not 15 minutes from my apartment! He called me again at around 4:45 pm saying he didn't know how to get to my building. After explaining it to him yet again, and feeling quite concerned that I wasn't going to receive my food, I called the business and explained to them the situation. Not only were they patronizing, they did not seem to care. I had to explain to them, once again, directions to my building, which LITERALLY was "go down Broadway until you see my street, and then turn left." The man at the business said he would call the delivery guy and they would get it sorted out. I asked him to please call me back so I would know my food is coming, already settling into the fact that my pizza and garlic knots would be cold. At 5:00 pm, almost 2 hours after placing the order, I had received no call back. I tried calling the delivery man on his cell phone, no answer. I called the business again, very upset, saying that I had already paid for this pizza with my credit card, so I wanted it to be delivered as soon as possible. Not only did they not care, they were once again patronizing and asked me for directions AGAIN. I asked them if they had a computer and could look it up from there, to which they said no, they had no way of looking it up. Very upset, I told them that it was illegal for them to not bring me food in return for the money I gave them, and that if they did not bring it, I would be calling the police (this is drastic, I know, but at this point I was both very hungry and very frustrated). At 5:05 pm I get a call from the owner of the business, who is EXTREMELY rude to me, saying that "this happens all the time" and that there was "nothing he could do about it" and that there was "no reason to go to the cops." At this point, I start getting extremely irritated, I demand both my food and the money back, and I tell him that I will never be ordering from his establishment again. Not only did he not seem to care, he just kept saying that this "happens all the time." Finally I got my food and my money back, but this left me with a few questions: 1. What kind of delivery service does not look up where they are going before they actually leave to go there if they DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GET THERE? 2. Who owns a business that really does not care if a paying customer is upset / if their delivery service is not getting the job done? 3. I can't believe I waited 2 and a half hours for a mediocre pizza and garlic knots that are the size of golf balls. Do NOT order from here. They are rude, inconsiderate, and their food is NOT good. read more

Delivery was slow (1 hour 20 mins.) and the Chicken Marsala was inedible. It tasted like rotten meat. I've tried this place several times (always order something different - to be fair) and I've yet to be satisfied much less impressed.
