Dr Wymore is AWESOME and really took care of me for the procedure - meniscus root tear repair…read more Check in and appts via an app/ online called FMH. Pretty straight forward and good auto reminders. Downer was the dang billing! Advanced Ortho tells you to sign for a knee brace that they charge first Tricare $949 for a Osset universal rebound knee brace that one can get on the online at Alimed.com for $152. I ended up getting stuck for $113 of it. Of course I was suspicious before the procedure and asked what my out of pocket would be and was assured there'd be none - caveat emptor - if you're about 5'10" reach out u can have mine! THEN they have u go back another time to get more items u eventually end up getting charged for because I was told insurance/ Tricare wouldn't authorize on 1 form/ visit. In my case? A $132 post op ice pack that billing listed as a (yet another) post op knee brace on a follow-on Statement. Another $15.84. Just waiting for the next kick in the jimmy!! Like I said GREAT care for which I'm very grateful just want folks to be aware of the add-ons u will get hit with. Thank God my insurance is decent - I can only imagine how bad others are getting taken for accessories!

I was referred to Dr. Daniel Bauk by a friend who was so impressed with his skill as an orthopaedic…read moresurgeon. From day one I was very happy with him. He encouraged me to write down all my questions and bring them to my visit after his initial evaluation that I was a good candidate for a total knee replacement. I did so and he took so much time answering all my concerns but did not pressure me to make my decision on whether to have the surgery. I did decide to go forward after speaking to a couple of his former patients and so glad I did. He did an awesome job and my healing process has been much quicker than my first total knee replacement surgery. Very happy with him and his staff. Their surgical center is very professional and immaculate. I never felt I was just one more patient.....I felt I was the only patient! Cannot recommend him more highly.

As she mentioned he was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and had outstanding bedside manner. He took the time to listen, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand during the exam and made me feel completely at ease. What stood out most was the flexibility and thoughtfulness in discussing treatment options and next steps--I never felt rushed and truly felt included in the decision-making process. It's rare to find a provider who combines expertise with genuine compassion. I'm very grateful for such a positive first visit and would highly recommend this practice. Everyone from the front desk personnel, his administrative staff, the x-ray technician, then his shadowing residents x2 were great. I visited the 20th st location but will visit Georgetown due to ease of transport.

Dear GT Medstar Medical Team,…read more My name is Sheila Westerfield and I was an in-patient at your hospital from October 25 through October 30, 2024. I must apologize because this email thank you is a very long time coming, however, I have been working on my recovery and PT. I wanted to thank each of you for your amazing care both medically, physically and emotionally as your team and you guided me through my recovery period at the hospital during my stay. From the excellent medical care and advice that was given to me both pre op hip replacement surgery to post op surgery, Dr. Park, I must say you are the BEST! I am so grateful that you are and were my surgeon involved in my care from the day I came to you for consultation, during and after my surgery and your excellent follow up and care! Your attentiveness to my requests and care will always be appreciated with deep gratitude. You also possess an amazing beside manner. I grew up in a family of physicians from my grandfather, uncle and brother -- so I am quite familiar with the quality of care that can be given to a patient -- not just medically, but the overall support emotionally that makes an outstanding doctor like yourself stand out from the rest. Thank you! Secondly and not really secondly, the amazing care that I received from the nursing staff, your staff, Dr. Park -- your resident, the physical therapists, nurse techs, the client care experience staff and down to the young man who cleaned my room twice a day and the food services staff, I remain extremely grateful. The quality of care and attention and kindness and compassion of all of the staff mentioned above (the names are listed below) -- I hope that I didn't leave anyone out, please know how fabulous you all are and I am grateful that you chose the medical profession because you are exactly where you belong. You all have huge hearts and exude patience and devotion to the career you chose. It is my hope that the director's of GT Medstar and your immediate supervisors and managers will have the opportunity to see this email. Because I don't have access to their emails, I am hopeful that this email will be forwarded to each -- from the president/ceo at GT, the head of the surgical orthopedics department, the head of nursing and patient experience department, director of physical therapy, food services and the janitorial department. I am healing quickly -- walking sometimes without a cane and having no difficulty navigating my 14 steps (LOL). All of this is due to the excellent care that each of you provided me and your encouragement each step of the way. The qualities that each of you possess are those that each person who has to undergo surgery or just a stay at the hospital prays for!!!! I know for certain as I am a praying "gal" who when my eyes open I am prayerful and thankful and before they close my prayers and gratefulness are repeated to my God -- and, what I can say is that HE answered my prayers, for TRUE!!!!! I wish each of you all of the BLESSINGS that God has in store for each of you and your families. I know that each day that you come to work, you are BLESSING yet many more patients! Thank you again. I will continue to keep each of you close to my heart and in my prayers. Tomorrow, my plan is to post this on Google!!!!!!! Blessings. With much thanks, Sheila H.
