Today was not too busy, great service, delicious ice cream, and clean! Only had two flavors for yogurt ice cream wish they had more.

For some darn reason, I loved the Apple Struddle Ice cream. We stopped here for some ice cream on our break, and it was delicious. They had several different flavors on the menu. It almost taste like an Apple pie ice cream lol. Love the taste and all. Service was good. I will most likely be back on my next trip. read more

Best ice-cream I've ever had . The cow milk is very fresh in water town and they get it from local farmers. If you get the baby size you get a huge portion of icecream, and its only $2.25. Very local and very nice service. Its worth a trip on its own. You eat outside so make sure its not raining. read more

I've been taking my kids to Cowlick for several years now! Best place to get ice cream but tonight was different. I took my kids to get ice cream and the lady who attended to us seemed mad. I politely ordered our ice and thanked them for their service. When I got home I replayed our interaction and thought I'd call and Apologize for whatever we did. Called and explained that I wanted to apologize to the lady who attended to the window. The person on the phone just kept saying ok, I said I'm sorry again and just kept saying ok and hung up.... Oh my god, best milkshakes we have had in a while. They aren't frozen like most serve, and you can actually drink them! I prefer my milkshakes to be thinner which was perfect. We ordered a cookie dough and chocolate panda paws and boy, did they not disappoint. My fat ass wished I had ordered a second for later. Hardly any clumping in the straw and after we finished, it made for a delectable second dessert with all the toppings that didn't make it through the straw, happily gathered at the bottom of the cup. the ice cream selection here is outstanding. our crew ended up going with a baby cone of cotton candy, small monster dough, small superhero, small caramel praline, and a medium dairy free cookies and cream and apple strudel. the medium had two scoops, the others are one scoop but the scoops are huge! service was quick and efficient with plenty of benches or places to throw down a blanket and relax with your treats. read more

So it's summer in the north country, a small span of time when it's warm, you don't need a sweater, and ice cream is a constant craving! One of the good things about being up here is that there is a wide array of small ice cream shops/stands everywhere you go. So I've of course been trying to sample them ALL. My boyfriend and I came here after a trip to the watertown zoo, and after going to most of the shops in the area we realized that this place had MANY MORE FLAVORS to offer. They're small cone was $2, and since I wasn't very hungry I asked for that size. Mistake, should have asked for a child size, they gave me two HUGE scoops of red velvet ice cream (doesn't that just sound amazing?) which was delicious! I thought maybe they were giving bigger portions because it was a slow day, but since that day we have gone back half a dozen times and always huge portions for less than half of what the other shops are offering. Winner in my book. Try the red velvet guys! It's delish! And seriously, try a small first. It's huge. read more

Although the ice cream was delicious, we won't be returning due to the extremely rude server. My husband asked for a sample of the Ting a ling flavor and the guy working said "have you ever had mint choc chip? That's what it tastes like". Thinking he was joking, my husband chuckled and said "I'd like to sample it". The guy says "so you have never tasted mint choc chip?" My husband said "not yours". Good ice cream, terrible staff. My fiance and I went several times, and each time we asked each other, "Were they really rude, or is it just me?" Two quick stories: The first time, we showed up at 9:04pm, apparently four minutes after closing. The lights were on, and there was no "closed" sign, so I knocked on the window and asked, "Are you still open?" There were two young gals running the stand, so their inattention to us was kind of to be expected (i.e. not indicative of the place being closed). All I needed was a polite "sure are!" or "unfortunately not," because I couldn't figure it out on my own. One of the brats huffed and puffed, barked "SERIOUSLY?!," stomped over and put a block in the window. I got my answer! Another time we went, I asked for a sample. They have a lot of odd flavors, so this is not a ridiculous request. The man huffed and puffed and handed me the tiniest morsel of ice cream, too small to decide whether or not I liked that flavor. I was about to play it safe and order vanilla when I saw "Muddy Sneakers" on the menu, with a decadent-sounding description. I asked for a sample of that, and the man said "One sample per customer." So my fiance said "Okay I'LL have a sample of the Muddy Sneakers." The guy said "No, you'll just give it to her!" Who cares?! What's the big deal?! We are the only two customers at your dinky little ice cream shop, just give us another pea-sized sample! Going out for ice cream is supposed to be fun. Amazing how a shack-full of mean employees can ruin the experience. read more

Okay, I am a vegetarian and haven't had dairy ice-cream in over 2 years! Well, I had to try this ice-cream after driving around the area and seeing all the cows running loose in the pastures...the Amish..and all....anyway, I cheated and had myself a customized banana split...was the best thing I ever tasted! And, the owner, a very sweet guy who resembles Lord Farquaad from Shrek was a character and told me he'd make a Banana Split I'd soon not forget! I just went to this place for the first time. I ordered a shaved ice that did not taste right. I told the guy working in there that the cherry flavor did not taste right. Several folks in my party tasted it as well and agreed. How I was treated from that moment on was completely inexcusable. The other empłoyee in there and this guy wee so rude. He did not care that I was unsatisfied. He told me that it was all me and that if wanted something else I would have to pay for it. Let's face it, I had shaved ice and a few squirts of syrup. They were not losing money on me by throwing this out and I had paid $2.50 for it. However, the point is, since living here at Fort Drum, it is the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. And from a couple of the other reviews, this is not just my opinion. The guy told the girl 4 times in front of me , " Just get her out if here."
