She did a HORRIBLE job, and didn't style out my hair, so i didn't know it until I got home and really got a good look at it. I asked for a ash blonde balayage and paid $300 by the time I tipped, and my hair looks like complete trash. Myra offered to fix it and I initially rescheduled with her, but after thinking about it, I texted her and asked her to be $100 percent honest if she thought she could fix it and she never responded. I ended up scheduling for a color correction at a different salon because I can't trust this girl. I left a message on the Salon retro site to Kathy (I believe she's the owner) and got no response, so I called the Salon and Kathy answered. She said "Myra said you loved your hair when she was done" and I told Kathy, Myra didn't style it out. In fact, after thinking about it, I think she did that on purpose because she knew it was a sloppy job and she was ripping me off, but she told me the reason she wasn't styling it out was because she already did a lot to my hair and didn't want to overdo it. I should have known right then and there she was full of s#$t, because I have never been to a Salon and paid that kind of money and left without dry, styled hair. If you took the time to read all this, please take my advice and don't risk going to this place. What a waste of time and money. In response to Kathy's comment: ummm... yeah... I said all that in my review, but I also said I opted not to go back to her because I don't feel confident she would be able to fix it. Not worth the risk. Also, why you commenting on my review? You can't help me because she's not your employee. Don't be on my review bumping your gums. I deserve a partial refund but I know that isn't going to happen, so mind your own business.

A female employee came outside (the OWNER Amy) and began to question us as to why we were there. I responded respectfully by saying we were just staying out of the heat and I just needed somewhere to work on school work until my work out. She rudely responded by saying this was employee parking and I needed to move. I asked if there was signage posted saying that I was allowed and she ignored me and walked back inside. She then proceeded to call the police on us. While on the phone with them, I asked her "what if I was a customer of yours waiting on an appointment" she again rudely responded saying "then you would know to park in the front" and slammed the door. Police showed up and kindly reassured us that we were allowed to be there and we were not doing anything wrong by being there. They even mentioned how they get calls like this all the time. SMH. What a waste of tax payer dollars due to snobby residents. I am just absolutely appalled at how rude and judgmental this woman was. Just because I'm traveling out of a van doesn't mean I'm less than you and you can talk down to me. I don't recommend supporting this pretentious business at all. It's not hard to be a decent human being. Amy, be better.

She inquired about what my hair looked like and what I wanted her to do. For this specific appointment I was looking to get my hair trimmed a little bit and for a hair color. I have thick coarse hair and I usually like to wear it short, very much like a pixie cut. This hair style can be tricky, often resulting is poor blending, uneven length, and a blocky look. When I went to intuition, Kayla was very friendly and asked a lot of questions about my hair, which was great. The coloring process was easy and painless as She did an all over coloring (purple highlight on black hair). She also knew exactly how to cut my hair, given its disobedient personality, and took her time. My experience was overall laid back and fun. The price was appropriate for the quality haircut that I received. I had super long hair, which I no longer had time to style or take care of after my son was born. So, I decided to go for a lob and get rid of 10 inches or so. At first, I was a bit nervous, but Kayla took a cautious approach and trimmed it gradually. She'd take a couple inches off and asked how I felt, until we reached the desired length. I loved the results! The way she layered it is beautiful and makes it really easy to style. Then, it was time to fix the patchy multicolor mess that resulted from too many at-home coloring sessions due to COVID. Kayla did an outstanding job of evening out the tone, and blending in beautiful highlights throughout. This is the very first time I've been happy with my highlights on the first session! Every other time, it's taken multiple visits to get to the shade I want. I am SO happy with the results!
