**Racist Roofers**
Employees from Belgrave Roofing entered unannounced on our property, saw me naked in the shower from a window that opens onto our roof, and then called my fiancé a "Chinaman" for having called them out on their unacceptable actions. Do not hire this company.
After I submitted a request for a quote from Belgrave Roofing through their website, two of their employees came to our building and climbed on our roof without ever contacting me to make an appointment or ringing our bell. We only realized they were there because I saw one of them on our roof outside of our bathroom window while I was taking a shower. When my fiancé, a Filipino-Canadian, went outside to question their actions they were apologetic and left their business card. We of course decided not to hire them. A week later (today) they called me to enquire about the project and I complained that they had climbed our building without permission. The employee then became defensive and argued that I had not "specified that they had to make an appointment before coming" and that "that Chinaman had yelled at him". I immediately shut down the conversation and told them that we would not be hiring them and to never call me again. Shortly thereafter I received a threatening e-mail from the owner with the subject heading: "Telephone conversations and threats" attempting to scare me into not going public with our story.
Co-owners in our building witnessed the event and can confirm that my fiancé was not aggressive or threatening. read more
