I asked Cyndy for Halloween nails but told her I'm going on vacation to Kauai too. These are what she surprised me with! She NAILED IT AGAIN! (Pardon the pun.). She is so gifted and talented and has a lot of ongoing training under her belt. I hear other clients praising their stylists as well. I also had a great pedicure last time with Mary who pretty incredible too! And the prices are great as well, and tips are included! Yep-I said it, no awkwardness at the end of the transaction. Just Cash or Card! The salon is always decorated beautifully and the Halloween decorations now are fantastic! read more

Great work but last 2 visit were unacceptable. I had to babysit Mary's 4 yr old step daughter for 30 mins as Mary was late with her previous pedi appt, next appointment she no showed me, her coworker text her, she called me apologized knowing I come a long distance claiming she was sick but she'd give me a big discount on my next appt. When I tried to make the appt she said I could make appt with someone else at the salon, I made the online appt and within 24 hrs my appt was declined with no reason. Unreal read more

I've been to couture nails twice. The first time I went I was completely satisfied, the 2nd time I could not get the same girl. I needed a complete redo, the girl that I got took 4 hours and left the nails super bulky after I asked for them to be thin. She left excess gel all over the inside of the nails, she barely spoke to me even while trying to hold a conversation with her for the 4 hours. I wanted her to thin them out but wasn't willing to sit there for another 2 hours to have that done. So now I'm at home trying to thin them out myself, it's taken numerous files and three days to accomplish this. I even had to use scissors to cut out the excess gel from behind the nails. read more

Couture Claws is a clean facility. I have been going here for a year getting epic pedicures with Abraxas. I always go for the deluxe pedicure. She is consistently great every time. I like that she is not hard on the cuticles and is very gentle. And Her massages are sooo relaxing. I feel lucky to have found her and I feel spoiled with every visit. It's a nice way to feel like you are getting away from it all. read more

Couture Claws - Pedicure comes out nice every time. - Nail Salons Near Me - Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

As of 01/09/2025 my gf booked a pedicure with gel. She hasn't been for a few months so she was so excited and super happy to have them done. She asked me what color/tip and it was cute. BUT she gets there and they have moved locations. She had no idea and drove to the old location by Kona Brew. But they don't answer their phone like another commenter mentioned. So she had to take a guess at their IG to find the new place. When she gets there for a meeting with Jase, the nail tech berates her in front of the entire salon saying shes 20 mins late as she is apologizing trying to explain why. She keeps yelling at her for 5 minutes. My gf continues with a simple pedicure as they have strict last min cancellation so might as well use the money anyway right? BUT Jase continues to berate her. So my gf ends up crying the whole time. This place is a joke. Dont go there, but if you insist DONT ASK FOR JASE. Truly horrible person to just take on an attitude for a mistake Im sure anyone could make as THEY haven't updated the apple maps which still shows the last location. read more

For me Nail technicians are like family. This is why I was happy to find Kristen at Couture Claws. I started coming in shortly after moving to Kona when she was an apprentice. I was so impressed with her service that I have been coming back every two weeks for the past year. The salon itself is beautiful and clean. I love the copper tubs and products they use for pedicures. I also very much appreciate the owner Cyndy bringing in non-toxic polish and products. If you need a mani or pedi, this is a wonderful place to come. But they are not good with last minute appointments so I recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. read more

AMAZING LASH LIFT / TINT experience from Christina! I don't wear eye makeup much and have very straight eye lashes, so this lift / tint gave me such a natural but noticeable glow up!! I love that I can jump in the ocean and not have to worry about mascara running down my face and that it lasts for months. Totally worth the money! The lift itself is a pain-free, comfortable experience. And a Christina is so welcoming and easy to talk to, it flew by. Feels like I've known her forever - will definitely continue to get my lashes done by her! read more

To say I have high standards for nails is an understatement.... Getting my nails done is my "Treat yo self" moment I do every two weeks and I love to feel pampered and pretty when I leave. The shop is clean, organized and ran very professionally. Mary is my nail tech but all the girls there are skilled and amazing. Mary is punctual and professional, she pays attention to detail and genuinely cares if I'm happy with the final Product. This is a busy shop and each of the girls has a set of loyal regulars, I highly Recommend booking far in advance and then rebooking your future appointment before leaving. A busy shop is a good sign! Worth every penny and worth the wait ! read more

I had a delightful experience at Couture Claws! This was my first visit, and I got matched with Jordan, a Pedicurist and one of the owners. I booked a Deluxe Couture Pedicure (90-min). After a foot soak in their signature copper pot, Jordan gave his full attention to cleaning and exfoliating my feet after which both my feet and lower legs were given various luxurious treatments ending with a wonderful massage. I particularly loved that many of the treatment products they use are created by the wonderful Amanda with Paper Crane Soaps :-) To finish, my toenails were painted with my selection from a wide color palette of polishes. Couture Claws is a cozy local shop set up by a local couple in partnership with other talented personal care professionals. I particularly enjoyed the welcoming vibe, the lively banter and the overall community feel of the space. Lastly, I also appreciated that Jordan offered me a discount due to a "special" that I had not known about previously as well as a take home gift for being a first time customer. And there is plenty of parking :-) read more

I've been going to couture claws for years now I have always had a comfortable and relaxing experience whenever going in to do my nails, when I switched over to Mariah I was happy to hear she was now also going to be working in couture claws new spot in the old industrial area. I've been going to Mariah for about a year now and I absolutely LOVE her work, with that being said all the times I've gone in to see Mariah she has always been inviting, and she's very accommodating to what it is you want, I'm always very verbal and we talk a lot about color, design etc because there are times I'll come in and have no idea what it is I want, a lot of times I let her artistic side come out and she always delivers. I went in yesterday and got a new set with Mariah, didn't really know what I was getting as I usually don't, and I decided on simple long black nails, I got the Apres gel full set as I normally do, the application process is so fast and easy it's crazy how long they last, I was out in 30 min and I left a happy customer my experience is always a 5 star experience here and I'm still obsessing over my nails today. if you have any nail needs I would definitely recommend couture claws as a whole because everyone in there is absolutely amazing. read more

My dad is getting up there in years and needed his first ever pedicure. Although he was skeptical about the whole process, he agreed to go. Mary was a delight. She was kind and gentle to his sensitive feet and explained what she was doing along the way. My dad enjoyed it and looks forward to seeing Mary regularly. Plus, his toenails will no longer scrape the inside of his golf shoes. read more

Great service and creative techs. Love their location and approach. Love my Abraxas. She amazingly thorough and creative!

I had the BEST facial I have ever had from Couture Claws' esthetician Christina. The products she used all smelled SO amazing. Christina did dermaplaning on me with such expertise. She was gentle yet efficient. My face felt so revived, and refreshed. I had many people comment I was glowing the whole following week! Also Christina is one of the sweetest, kind, and funny people you could meet! I would recommend her to everyone I know (unless I don't like them, ha) I can not wait to go back, which I am soon because I am hooked and want her facials regularly forever. Thank you Christina for such an incredible experience! read more

Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, but definitely didn't meet expectations especially for the price and result. I was slotted for an enhancement removal and regular manicure (I hit couture manicure on the site and not gel which I would have preferred but was reassured I was getting gel when I got there thankfully, although either would have been fine with me) One of my nails broke the night of manicure, and there are bubbles and my cuticles look pretty bad. It was 80+ for removal and the manicure with no enhancements or add ons, insanely expensive especially since there was no scrub/hot towel/massage as advertised. Just take them off and repaint, which was disappointing especially for the price and result (pictures attached) read more

Probably the best pedicure I've ever had. It's been over a week later and my nails still look amazing and clean. I could definitely tell she's a perfectionist and that's exactly what I want with my services. I'm sad I didn't catch her name but she just moved from the mainland. Not only was her work very well done but she was also very pleasant to talk to. It was just us on a Saturday because it's by appointment only but we had good conversation and it was an overall great experience. Will be coming back for sure! read more

Wow, totally impressed by Couture Claws and my service with Selena. I used to be an acrylic girl for years. I loved the look but hated all the damage to my natural nail. I decided to take a break from acrylics for awhile, the pandemic happened, and I finally decided it was time to get back into some sort of manicure routine. Booking online was so easy. You can choose your nail tech, you know exactly how long the service is, and how much it will cost up front. After doing some research, I opted for the Apres Gel X full set. I've never had it done before but it's a type of nail extension that preserves your natural nail health, which was right up my alley. It doesn't use any of the harsh chemicals that acrylic sets do so the salon doesn't have that typical "nail salon" smell, which is awesome! Selena was extremely professional, detail oriented, and easy to talk to. She did such a great job on my set and I love how it turned out! She is a perfectionist at painting, doesn't rush, and helped me pick the perfect colors. I'm so happy with it and couldn't recommend Couture Claws more! Thank you, Selena! read more

On December 9, 2019 at 11:00 am Mary performed an extraordinary manicure/ pedicure. I am visiting for a while from NC. I had the Dip on my nails which badly needed repairing. Mary went above and beyond in her professional nail services. My nails look absolutely brilliant. The pedicure was the Kona Coffee scrub. I would highly endorse this type of pedicure. This salon is brilliantly clean, organized, contemporary in their professional delivery and ever so generous in their customer interaction. If you are a local or visiting, this salon addresses a huge need in this community!!! I receive nail services regularly at home in NC. This salon has sustainability, contemporary approach, and best of all employees who are very engaged in their customer service approavh read more

Our group had a fantastic experience at Couture Claws! They were the only shop in town that could take our group of 7 for pre-wedding nails and worked their logistical magic to accommodate us. Communication before our appointments was excellent and the nail services we received were even better. These are some talented ladies and we all walked away very happy! read more

The chocolate pedicure is amazing. The chocolate scrubs and lotion are made in the salon. The smell is amazing. I love how the menu explains the benefit of each pedicure. My technician took her time with my pedicure. I really appreciate how she took the time to assess the needs of my feet. That made the pedicure feel personal. I liked how she painted one toe nail and made sure I liked the color before moving forward. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the wonderful and kind technician. Apologies. Everyone in the salon is engaging and kind. read more

Worse experience. Got lost trying to find the salon. Called a dozen times at least. THEY DON'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE. Got there 15 minutes late after driving around in circles. Contacted my spouse who looked up the address and found it was located in the back parking lot of a brewery. Had to park in an alley where it said "no parking". Because they have no parking! The one nail tech (not the one I booked*) had the nerve to say I had an attitude. YOU DON'T ANSWER YOUR PHONE! I was explaining I was lost and my GPS was showing the salon was 300 yards west of its actual location. I was trying to call for directions. So if you're reading this review, ditch this place because THEY DON'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE. I went right over to Majestic Nail & Hair in Kona Commons and they took me immediately! My nails are beautiful. And THEY ANSWER THEIR PHONE! Majestic Nail & Hair Salon have super nice people and they are very talented. *the nail tech I booked was actually nice, but because I was 15 minutes late, could not honor the appointment. Understandable. read more

I had a mani-pedi here the day of my wedding and it was quite honestly the best I've ever had! My nails looked perfect and they held up for at least a week afterwards (which is unheard of for me, since I tend to be rough on my hands). The manicurist was outstanding, she spent the time to make sure my nails looked beautiful and gave me exactly the look I wanted. I highly recommend Couture Claws! read more

I had a great experience here, I got a classic pedicure which is my go-to service and they did an outstanding job! They have tons of dazzle dry, which is great since I live a pretty active lifestyle, and is hard to find in other salons since it requires special training. Everyone working there was super nice and chill, didn't feel rushed or left out of conversations at all, which was refreshing and lovely. There wasn't any loud TV in the background, just good volume music and nice conversation. My nails came out perfect, and the scrub plus massage combo was super well done! All in all a great pedicure and atmosphere :) read more

This is probably the best pedicure I've ever had - and I've had a lot! Mary was phenomenal!! Highly recommended!!

Mariah is amazing! I've been going to her for years now. When she does my nails she is very open to questions if you're unsure of something as long as you ask. She is very professional in what she does. Very smart, very clean and very outgoing. I know other women who go to her just to have girl time and free their minds. I know I do. When you go into a nail salon that's what you do you talk, you talk about your day, your life, your nails...etc. Mariah and couture claws are meant for women to be open and creative. Never have I ever had a bad experience with mariah. If you don't know about the nails she does, just ask and she will explain. read more

I messaged/called ahead for an appointment and the salon was very responsive to both. The salon is super cute and my practitioner was excellent, very comfortable. Very nice place and the gals are nice that worked on us! Brought my mom in for girls day and enjoyed our spa feet time!

I Received an express Gel Pedi from Jai who is amazing at what she does! So detail oriented, CLEAN, and asks a lot of questions to get you exactly what you want. I usually would get ingrown toe nails which strayed me away from getting pedicures forever but she made sure to ask BEFORE starting to shape my nails. She never tries to change your mind or force any other add ons if you have a set color in mind. I'm a couture claws customer for life! Other bonuses: NO hot spike under the Gel light (which is RARE) They use all natural Vegan lacquers Eco conscious Copper bowls (very sanitary) Loyalty program that gets you a FREE couture Pedi Super friendly + Flexible schedules Scrubs/lotions/foot soaks change seasonally (It's the little things that matter) - All the girls are amazing and I can't say enough good things about couture claws!
