While passing through picked up a few slices at Cousins pizza
Kree J.

While passing through... Cousins Pizza is big and plentiful. Service is great and the atmosphere is friendly. Kindly note you cannot call ahead for slices. Slices are on a first come first serve basis.

You can almost see through the crust as the cheese just falls off.

It's been a long time since Ive been here. Last few times it had fallen off too far to keep patronizing. Decided to return recently and the slices were EXCELLENT. Exactly how I remember them for years and years. Couldn't be happier to know it's back at the top of the rotation.

I asked for extra cheese i got half melted lumps semi warm pizza. Horrible

Good pizza if you like sweet sauce. Excellent eggplant Parmesan. Kids behind the counter are kids.

My in law thinks they might have new owners. They now accept credit cards. Everything just came out of the oven when picked up and was still hot by the time we got home! We were blown away by the amount of toppings they put on the pies. The vegetable pie had a great assortment too. They weren't chintzy with the amount of ricotta on the white pie either. You can't go wrong with a plain slice! Well priced and rather large size.

No frills. Old radio playing old rock music. Now it's half a dozen people working but what appears to be none of them making pizzas as the offerings look like they've been sitting out way too long. No change in decor. No improvements made. Only thing I see is a new electronic card reader... yay? Pizza is $3.25 a slice when paid in cash. Sigh. Pizza is decent. Not what Tony D served but decent at best. I use to go out of my way to drop in here. That isn't the case anymore. Good night, sweet prince. Thanks for the memories, Tony. You made great pizza. I'll miss it.

They literally have a large metal shelving unit, floor to ceiling, like one you would put in a garage for storage, packed with tons of grimy junk. I'm talking old printers and phones, boxes with all kinds of crap, loaded on shelves to the ceiling. This is right by the front door! Right by the dining area! Then I looked up...there is a loft storage area around the ceiling area that is packed with old junk, like Christmas decorations and old lights. Dusty loads of junk. It looked like an old man's attic. The tables all looked dirty too, like they never wipe them down. I don't know how the health department hasn't shut this place down. Even the employees looked filthy. I should have walked out without my slice, because it went in the garbage anyway. I was really mad at myself for not speaking up and walking out. The slice looked disgusting as well. I got pepperoni and it was floating in oil and the pepperoni was just put on top cold. Disgusting. Not to mention it wasn't cheap! You've been warned. If they are this filthy in plain sight, imagine what goes on in the kitchen.

I added an item that I not seen before, garlic knot sliders. The dishes were pretty much standard pizza parlor fare, with nothing bad and nothing particularly outstanding. The two best dishes were the garlic knot sliders and the penne vodka. Don't know if the vodka sauce was house made, but it was quite tasty and the sliders were unique. While I'm not running back, this is certainly not a place to avoid, and I would order food from them again without hesitation. There was plenty of staff behind the counter and they were pleasant enough. The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall. I didn't take pictures cuz there are quite a few people inside. While it didn't appear dirty, it certainly looked tired and run down. If you've got a hankering for some Italian takeout, check out Calabria Pizza in Oradell!

While each pasta shape has a unique cooking time, just about every package instructs one to cook the noodles until they reach the "desired consistency"/"al dente." This phrase literally translates from Italian to mean "to the tooth." It describes the texture of cooked pasta when it's tender but firm and chewy when one bites into it. Located on Center Avenue in Westwood, my colleague and I had the opportunity as first-timers at Al Dente Pasta Fresh Pasta Co. for lunch. Upon entering their casual and friendly vibe, we were greeted by the staff and had the place to ourselves in their dining area with an open kitchen. Their menu features a fantastic variety of appetizers, salads, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and desserts. The star of this establishment has to be the fresh homemade pasta dishes made from Caputo Semola flour imported straight from Italy, accompanying the amazing sauces, each crafted with care and creativity. We decided on their Pasta Bar--Spicy Chili Vodka Cavatelli with Chicken Cutlet and Bolognese Pappardelle. Each came with fresh focaccia bread. The food arrived, and one can taste the difference of freshness. It was absolutely delicious using the high-quality ingredients. The portion was just right as well as the price. Our server, Hunter, was friendly and accommodating. We even had a chance to make small talk with the owner; Joe connected next door at the sister location, Luciano's, for pizza and garlic knots. It's Old World charm with a modern twist, and we can't wait for a repeat performance.
