Could not have been more happy with this place. It's not as easy to find as some of the other tourist cafes - but it is worth it. It is off the Main Street - parking was easy , walk in and look at the history around you. Up a corridor and you are in the courtyard. Ordered the soup and daughter had the pie - service was prompt and friendly. Soup was just perfect. The salad with the pie had a bit too much dressing but otherwise great. Coffee was good and the sweets a real enjoyable treat. Overall good value and bonus in seeing Tenterfield + Australian history. read more

I travel a lot and this is hands down the best coffee I have had in many years. I stayed in Tenterfield for three days and went each day for coffee and got exactly the same brilliant coffee every time, made by different Baristas. The owner is super friendly, well versed on coffee and food and really helpful, making you feel really welcome the moment you step in the door. The food is made fresh daily on the premises and is as great as the coffee. If you're passing through or in Tenterfield you must go. If you're staying a while go a few times as its worth trying everything they have to offer. Congrats Courtyard on the great job!
