The room was nasty! If you have children do NOT stay here! I was tired from driving from Georgia to Dallas and stopped here with my two boys and since I was so tired I didn't even check to see if the room was clean, in the morning we saw that the sink toilet and tub were dirty with shaven hairs, and there WAS A USED CONDOM BETWEEN THE COMFORTERS AND SHEETS WHERE MY SONS SLEPT!!!!!!!!!! You pay more for the quality of Marriott but this is absolutely disgraceful. DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY DONT EVEN CLEAN THE SHEETS!

This is a new and excellent Marriott property. This courtyard show the direction in which Marriott is taking courtyard franchise....which is very nice. We've stayed here a few times on the weekends. The rooms are very clean and new. Nice amenities in the room like an open shower and tv with streaming Netflix, Hulu, and others. Great customer service at the front desk and very friendly service at courtyard cafe. Serves Basic Starbucks coffee and espresso---this is not a full service bucks.

Closer view of the ants. We were bitten multiple times.

BOMB THREAT and FIRE ANTS! WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER! My spouse and I attended a wedding in Dallas and we booked 3 nights in the hotel block. It was the ABSOLUTE WORST hotel experience we ever had! The morning after we checked in, the entire hotel was evacuated due to a BOMB THREAT. We were awakened by fire alarms and quickly exited the building. I thought we might be outside for 15-20 min, but the building was locked down for 4.5 hours and everyone was stuck outside - with no explanation of what was going on. The entire parking lot was roped off by police tape. When we were finally allowed back into the building, the fire alarms were still blaring at full blast, so we couldn't even stay in the room. It was another couple hours until they turned the alarms off. To top that off, the front desk staff would not even disclose what happened but tried to reassure us we were safe. I spoke with the manager who was at the sister hotel next door and he did provide some information about the bomb threat. We tried to change hotels but there were no vacancies nearby that night, so we were stuck. Little did we know the worst was yet to come. The next morning we woke up to a FIRE ANT INFESTATION in our room! My husband's suitcase was full of hundreds of aggressive, biting ants! They were all over his clothes and crawling around on the floor! I spent the next two hours trying to get rid of as many ants as I could from our clothes in the bathroom. We were both bitten multiple times by the ants. The rude front desk staff (same from the previous day) was completely unsympathetic to our plight and offered us no help at all. We'd have to wait several hours until the manager was on duty. We had enough, so we decided to check out 1 day early and move to the next door sister hotel, the Fairfield Inn. The manager was slightly more helpful, but after all we'd been through, we only got a partial refund (I asked for a full refund) and changing to the next door hotel (also owned by Marriott and under the same manager) was not compensated. Not once did anyone apologize for anything that happened to us! Staying at the Courtyard was an EXTREMELY TERRIBLE experience the entire way through. If you run into any problems here, don't expect any help or understanding! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

*lengthy review* I stayed there with my family/friends in late July.we had a total of 4 rooms. The hotel itself was very nice. But we had the worst experience I've ever had at any hotel in my life!!. While we were very excited to meet up with family in the area and We all got dressed and fancy up for a dinner outting. Had an amazing time in the Dallas area. To wake up to these disgusting little red bite marks ALL OVER OUR BODIES. I spoke to the manager via email about the issue to only be accused of getting hit by fire ants. FIRE ANTS!!! There's NO WAY my family and I got bit by fire ants and DIDNT know. We were fine when we went to sleep and woke up covered in these Insanely itchy bites. When we got back home I was advised to wash everything we took into the room. I check our luggage with a flashlight Which there, I found a dead bed bug. A disgusting BED BUG!!! I've never in my life seen one of these or even been bit by these. The manager at this property obviously didn't believe me and customer serve didn't seem to care either. They just said a claim was made. The property supposedly had someone "check" the room to find "nothing" I don't believe that at all. There's no way we got bit by fire ants or anything else (all over our bodies) without knowing. It obviously happened in our sleep. I'm furious with the dismissal of our situation. I was a Marriott employee at the time and I thought soo highly of my company and how great we took care of our customers. UNTIL this stay. I wouldn't recommend staying at this property to anyone. I find it absolutely unacceptable that whenever I woke to in the customer service center claimed WE were the ones that brought it with us. I have children at home and now have to pay an exterminator to make sure my home isn't infected. I can't imagine how many other people have had to deal with this and get the same response from there in-caring management.

Brand new hotel. Very friendly service with informative staff. This hotel features ultra modern features with warm textures within the lobby and hotel rooms. I love the open concept and the multipurpose areas. This is affordable and comfortable for those looking for style, comfort and modern simplicity!

June 5, 2026 Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unresolved…read moreRoom Television Issue and Poor Guest Recovery To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at Hampton Inn & Suites in The Colony, Texas. I arrived on June 4, 2026, at approximately 6:30 PM and was greeted by Courtney at the front desk. I would like to begin by recognizing Courtney for her excellent customer service. She was pleasant, professional, and made my check-in experience very welcoming. After entering my room, I sat down to unwind from the day and turned on the television, only to discover that there was no volume. Since I had received a welcome text from Courtney, I responded to inform her of the issue. She promptly replied and offered to come to the room to assist. Out of respect and personal comfort, as I was alone in the room, I declined having a young lady come to the room and appreciated her willingness to help. She advised that she would notify the next front desk representative of the issue. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up that evening. The following morning, I visited the front desk and spoke with Luis. He immediately came to the room and attempted to troubleshoot the issue but was unable to resolve it. He informed me that maintenance would arrive around 9:00 AM and stated that he would add points to my account for the inconvenience. I explained that the television was important to me not only for entertainment but also as background noise and a way to decompress, particularly since I was working remotely from my hotel room. After waiting until approximately 10:30 AM without any update or visit from maintenance, I called the front desk and spoke with Omar. He apologized and assured me that someone would be sent within a few minutes. Approximately fifteen minutes later, Kenny from maintenance arrived and attempted several troubleshooting measures but was also unable to restore the television's audio. He then left to retrieve a replacement box and returned shortly thereafter. Despite spending additional time on the phone with technical support, the problem remained unresolved. At this point, my disappointment had turned into frustration. What concerns me most is not simply that the television malfunctioned, but rather the lack of effective guest recovery throughout the process. After multiple employees were unable to resolve the issue and after several hours of inconvenience, I was never offered a room change, a replacement television, or any meaningful alternative solution. Instead, I remained in a room with a known issue while maintenance continued unsuccessful troubleshooting efforts. I chose to stay at a Hilton property because I expect a higher standard of service and guest experience. This type of experience is not what I would anticipate from a Hilton-branded hotel. While I appreciate the courtesy shown by Courtney, Luis, Omar, and Kenny, the overall handling of the situation fell well below expectations. I would appreciate a review of this matter and a response regarding what corrective action will be taken, as well as what consideration will be extended for the significant inconvenience and disruption to my stay. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from management soon. Sincerely, Zachary Room 322

The rooms were spacious and nice and the pillows were actually comfortable. This matters more than you'd imagine. The lobby area and breakfast were good as well but the biggest reason to stay is the service. Every person on staff was welcoming and helpful although I do need to call out one specific person. Omarr helped me out of a reservation pinch that I got myself into. He saved me from a big headache. I've got this location bookmarked for the next trip out this way.

You can hit all the main attractions and restaurants without driving a distance. I stayed here with a friend inside a two queen bed room. Check in was easy, and they offer free breakfast. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room took no time to get cold. I always like to check the AC and make sure the room has hot water to shower. We had no issues! We even asked the front desk for a late check out and they were able to accommodate for free. It's not the most fanciest hotel but it did its job since I only stayed for the weekend. The price was reasonable. If you're looking to stay in Plano for a quick getaway weekend near all the close attractions this is the place for you.

We tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and went inside -- the lobby looked clean, so we decided to bring our luggage in. However, things quickly went downhill. When we got on the elevator, we noticed several dead roaches, which immediately made us uncomfortable. Once we reached the 3rd floor, there was no A/C at all in the hallway, making it feel hot and unpleasant. To make matters worse, the room door itself was visibly damaged. The final straw was the bathroom -- there was hair on the floor as if it had not been cleaned, and the bathtub had soap residue left behind from a previous guest. Overall, this hotel felt dirty and poorly maintained. Definitely not a pleasant stay.

The lack of power outlets in the room, and dated furnishings hint that it has been around for a while. The rooms aren't quite as efficient as some of the newer hotels, specifically storage space (and power outlets). The building is well maintained. The front desk staff is fantastic, friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar layout is well-organized and well managed by the alert staff. This really helps to prevent traffic jams during the morning breakfast rush. Great food options. Fortunately, there wasn't a mob of twelve-year-old soccer players at the breakfast bar competing for the waffle maker. I wonder if it is always this calm on the weekends? It was nice this morning.

The whole place had a strong smell of weed that they tried to cover up with some heavy deodorizer or air freshener. There was a very long hair in our bed which was gross. The TV didn't work at all, and both elevators felt like furnaces -- super hot and uncomfortable. Breakfast was mostly a miss. The eggs had weird cheese inside that tasted bad, the potatoes were dry and bland, and the bacon was just... interesting (not in a good way). The only decent things were the bagels, cream cheese, cereal, juice, and milk. Everything else fell flat. Wouldn't recommend this location if you want a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained stay. This is a gorgeous property in a fantastic location. Checking In & Perks If you aren't a member yet, definitely sign up before you arrive! Upon checking in, we were greeted with a complimentary drink and free WiFi. Karina handled our check-in and was absolutely wonderful--extremely amicable, professional, and the perfect example of excellent customer service. The Atmosphere & Unique Daily Themes One of the coolest features of this hotel is the daily theme hosted in the lobby: Day 1: A complimentary snack cart stocked with chips, candy, and water. Day 2: A fun trail mix station. A bourbon and burger event offered at a very reasonable cost. On our second day, we interacted with Rashad, who was also the absolute epitome of customer service. The staff here truly goes above and beyond. The Rooms & Amenities The rooms are incredibly large, spacious, and well-designed. Our room faced the mini-field at The Star adjacent to the hotel. Even though the hotel was completely at full capacity during our stay, the room was remarkably quiet. The soundproofing is top-notch. The bathroom was equally spacious. We did have one minor hiccup where a provided bath towel was visibly dirty, but the staff handled it flawlessly, immediately exchanging it for fresh linens the next morning. The pool area is beautiful, and both the bartenders and pool attendants were incredibly attentive and quick with their service. Dining & Events We spent some time at Neighbors, the on-site bar and restaurant, and sat on the patio to people-watch. There are also plenty of other great restaurants within short walking distance. As for the birthday celebration, the event space was stunning. The decor leading up to and outside of the ballroom was beautiful and incredibly well-executed. The event food and drinks were great overall; the only minor drawback was that the fries were a bit too salty, but the rest of the meal was delicious. A Special Highlight As an added bonus, Samuel L. Jackson was filming a spinoff of Tulsa King right when we arrived! Despite the production hustle and bustle, the hotel staff did a seamless job of accommodating regular guests and maintaining a premium experience. In closing, I highly recommend this property for its spacious rooms, stellar location, and a team that truly understands hospitality. We will definitely be back!

The pool area was good and our server was super helpful the afternoon we were there. The bad....we checked into our adjoining rooms and they both had this weird smoke smell. We asked to be moved but they couldn't move us to different rooms. Someone came in and sprayed some air freshener instead. One of the adjoining doors was broken and wouldn't stay open so maintenance had to come fix that. The closet doors also would not close all the way so the light stayed on all night. The room was damp. When you woke up in the morning, everything and I mean everything, was cold and damp. Even my shoes. The duvets seemed like they hadn't been replaced since they opened. They were paper thin and all the feathers were clumped together and uncomfortable. On Friday and Saturday night they had a bar and snacks out, but once everyone checked out on Sunday it was like a ghost town. Sunday night there was no bartender at the bar, no snacks out and no water in the lobby. For the price I was very disappointed and would not recommend it. I only gave it 3 stars because of the staff.
