BUGS in Bed and on night stand.

BUGS in BEDS. Checked in last week and upon entering room saw bugs crawling on pillow. Pulled back covers and more bugs found. Went to front desk, given another room and upon entry, same issue. This place is infested. Immediately checked out and went to another property. Do not stay here!

Nice quiet clean rooms in a dated hotel. For the price per night, I would think it would be a bit nicer, but guess not. The shower was adequate with good hot water and pressure. The bed was clean and the room was quiet. Just wish it was a bit more appealing. Overall a good hotel if you need to be in the area.

So why is local girl staying at the Courtyard in Plantation? Work meeting! Stayed here overnight with my team and used the conference services. It's not the Ritz and its not new but my room was pleasant enough and clean. The bed was very comfortable. In the lobby there is a little cafe that has breakfast, light meals, and alcoholic beverages. There is also a little business center desk with a luggage scale. I have eaten breakfast and the cafe before and it has always been good. The lunches were just okay. For example, the chicken in the salads is made with processed chicken. The conference/catering team took great care of us. We always had plenty of ice and beverages including coffee, water, and soft drinks. Not a bad place to stay for $123/night.

Front desk staff amazing, here's why the one star, housekeeping is clearly lacking at this hotel, hallways to the rooms needs to be vacuumed, also I checked into my room on 08/05 room was not vacuumed pretzels laying crushed up on the floor pic will be attached. Please retrain your housekeeping staff. This is clearly unacceptable.

Pros: the staff was extremely nice and the drivers for the shuttle are the best. They are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Rooms have a fridge for you. Location is close to shops and restaurants within walking distance. Cons: It's an older hotel. The lobby area looks like it has been renovated though. Modern and what you'd expect for a courtyard. The rooms are decent but dated. I didn't get any lotion or have a hair dryer in my room and came in with all of the drawers opened. Room could've been better but the beds were clean and the room was clean so no red flags. I'd recommend it for a convenient no frills lodging place with free shuttle service to and from airport.

DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES IN YOUR ROOM at this property. We had $3000 worth of made to order clothing stolen.

DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES IN YOUR ROOM at this property. We had $3000 worth of made to order clothing FOR A COSPLAY CONVENTION CELEBRITY PHOTO SHOOT stolen from our room while it was being cleaned. The maid denied it, even though the hotel verified she was the only other person to enter our room after we left. They let us file a claim # 591714, but later denied any responsibility. DISHONEST CLEANING STAFF HERE!!! DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND!!

Lobby of the Courtyard in Plantation Florida. Nice place for business travel.

The Courtyard in Plantation is situated right off I-595 between University and Pine Island. I stay here often for work and this location has quickly become my favorite hotel in the area. It's an older hotel that has been recently updated. Very nice layout with a pool in the center. If you are hungry you can eat in The Bistro or eat at one of the numerous restaurants nearby, some within walking distance. Great staff all the way around from the housekeeping staff to the front desk and management. Don't hesitate to stop by and check in, you won't regret it!

The size of the suite was perfect and offered plenty of space, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the rooms are very outdated and in serious need of renovation. The carpet was worn and clearly needs to be replaced. The lighting is old-fashioned--you have to reach up into the lampshade to find the switch. The wall outlets were a big issue: out of six outlets in the bedroom, only two would hold a plug, and only one worked in the living area. One of the room telephones didn't have a dial tone either. The biggest concern was finding a roach in the room. We called the front desk, waited almost an hour, and had to call a second time to get someone to come to the room so the issue could be documented. That delay was very frustrating. When checking out, we informed the front desk again. They gave us 10,000 points, which essentially covers a very basic, low-tier hotel room--after we paid a premium price for a suite. While we appreciated the gesture, it felt inadequate given the condition of the room and the pest issue. Overall, the staff were great, but the outdated rooms, maintenance issues, and slow response to a serious concern made this stay disappointing. This property needs significant updates to match the price and brand expectations.

The hotel is in a really great area, which made everything super convenient. Customer service across the board was excellent. At check-in, there was a small hiccup because I had a card on file and didn't realize I needed the physical card. It was a bit of an issue at first, but the staff handled it professionally and we got it resolved without much trouble. When I first entered my room, it felt very humid. I used the app to message the hotel, and within a few hours they addressed the issue and the room improved significantly. I really appreciated how responsive they were. One standout moment was ordering coffee from the Starbucks/bar area -- the customer service was incredible. The employee made my coffee with so much care and positivity; you could truly feel the pride he took in his work. We also hosted a work function at the hotel. The food was solid (hotel food done well), and everything was well stocked -- coffee, water, juices, and more. We had a happy hour as well, and the bartenders were absolutely amazing. Great service, friendly vibes, and very attentive. Even during checkout, every staff member I interacted with delivered top-tier customer service. I hadn't seen some of those employees before, but every single one was awesome -- truly a 10/10 experience. I'll be staying here multiple times this year, and I'm genuinely glad our office chose this hotel. Can't wait to come back!

Where to begin…read more.. First, let me take you to the check-in process where a less than friendly associate "greeted us." That's right, I put it in quotations because I didn't really call her half-hearted way of welcoming us to be an actual greeting. A line immediately started forming behind us. Is it standard to only have 1 semi-awake staff working the check-in counter at Staybridge Suites? She did not tell us where the elevators were located causing us to walk the opposite direction of the elevators (of course!) and backtrack all the way to the other side with our heavy luggage. How have this place gotten such good reviews especially citing their wonderful staff and friendly service? This, I have yet to see. As a general observation, the place could also use some sort of a renovation. They've worked on the decor to spruce things up but it does look a bit worn down in parts and could benefit from an actual renovation in my opinion. Now, on the way up to the room we had to wait for a very slow moving elevator since the other one is out of order. I really do mean slow... As in it took a good few minutes to get down to the first floor (only 4 floors). Also, the hallway by the elevator is so little that it gets easily crowded whenever someone with a cleaning cart or a lot of luggage is in there waiting for the one single and not to mention, spatially-challenged elevator. The other elevator had been off and on in broken state during our entire stay leaving only the slowest one available for use. The room, however, is nice and clean though the carpets look older. The suite lives up to the terminology in a compressed kind of way but of course, you can get one bigger. There is a small kitchenette with sets of dishes and some cookware, a full-size refrigerator, a stove top, a microwave, and a small dishwasher. This would be perfect if you are traveling with children and don't want to pay excessive amounts of money to take them out to eat for every meal. There is a flatscreen TV that is about 32 inches which swivels toward the direction of the livingroom area or the bed, depending on your location. However, it doesn't fully face neither direction so you have to be at the right angle to watch it straight or you'll be watching at an angle (or try to move the console but remember to move it back before you go to sleep or else it will be an accident bound to happen in the dark!) The room we have overlooks the pool which is great. We can check the pool status before actually heading in for a swim in case it's packed with children. I don't know how we got so lucky but this is one of the few cool things about our room. We tried the pool out and it's actually quite great. You have to use your room key to get into the pool area itself. They have a small towel shed, a place for your used towels, and some lounge chairs to sunbathe in when you're not in the pool. They have so many seating available by the pool area and around it. There's a fireplace, a covered barbeque area and some patio furniture underneath the shades of the trees. It's a very relaxing setting. Breakfast was pretty good overall. It's a buffet style with breakfast options such as fresh fruits, pastries (muffins, donuts, danishes), yogurt, tea (regular and flavored), juice and coffee bars, waffle, bagels and different bread varieties if you want some toasts, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, and some additional breakfast accompaniments such as cheese, salsa, cottage cheese, and tomato slices! I loved the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was very flavorful and the biscuits were flaky. I wish they'd have these everyday! Their main breakfast items are sometimes a miss though such as the day we had scrambled eggs that had some hard, dry pieces served with some thinly sliced ham which were flavorless and rubbery. Then other redeeming so-so days with pancakes, egg whites and some paperthin bacon. The best thing about their breakfasts, is the fact that it's free and they do put out a good spread. The hotel also offers a social at the dining room from Monday to Wednesday, 5:30-7:30 offering free wine, beer, and some munches. Wings, crudites, mini pulled pork, cole slaw, hot dogs, potato salad just to name a few. We didn't really get to attend any except on Tuesday when we were coming back from dinner and I grabbed a glass of wine. They had Beringer 2 different kinds of whites and a merlot and cabernet. They had 2 types of beer and it's all in a self-serve basis. Despite all the not so pleasant events during the first day, our stay here was all right. The hallway noise are very audible and there were a lot of children running around after 9pm which was highly irritating but remember, if you keep the fan on it lessens the noise level!

We unexpectedly stayed here 2 nights ago - we had a massive flood in the house and the plumber had…read moreto shut off the water. The insurance company was footing the hotel bill so we had to find a "good" hotel but not an expensive one. We also didn't know if we'd be out of the house for days/weeks/months so we wanted to be local to the house and work. We have dogs and cats - when I asked a friend for a recommendation she immediately suggested Staybridge. We initially didn't set the reservation to include the animals because we didn't yet know the extent of our stay. (They charge $50 then $10 a day for a limit of $150 but I don't know if it's per pet or per room. I didn't ask because I wasn't up to booking them.) This is an extended stay hotel, the longer you stay the less you pay per night. The price tiers are every 7 days. I booked for 15 days but wound up only staying one night so they adjusted my price per night. It still was a good deal. The hotel is inset from Pine Island Road - you drive towards the building and to the entrance on the left. The hotel exterior is painted nicely - it has a clean, modern feel. The front desk is right on the other side of the glass doors - that lock at 11 p.m. and require a hotel key or using the phone by the door for entry. The dining/bar area looked clean and nicely designed as we walked to the elevators. The room signs are bizarre - the hallway starts with room 221 and ends with room 201. The sign reads 221-201. Ok. But on the same sign, there's another row of rooms listed - with the numbers going UP - rooms 222 to 249. They should use separate signs. We walked down another hallway and found they have closets for guest use! The hallway looked great - although, honestly, because of the narrowness of the closet area, I was waiting for the twin girls to appear...a la The Shining. Our room was more of the same - clean and really nicely decorated in blues and browns. We stayed in a Queen Studio Suite - a kitchen with full fridge, 2 burner stove, etc., living room area in the same room as the bedroom furniture, a bathroom sink/prep area and a bathroom with a roomy shower and adjustable shower head. Our thermostat needed a new battery. When we called to ask for batteries, the front desk person couldn't understand that thermostats used batteries. Tom removed the thermostat from the wall and brought it to the front desk! She told him she'd have someone bring us batteries. When that never happened, Tom went back downstairs to the desk and she rifled through tv remotes until she found batteries. I know that batteries in thermostats can last for years but you're a hotel. You need to assume they may be old and not last as long as they should, someone might steal the batteries, etc. They do everything else right and then jerry-rig it when a guest needs something as simple as 2 batteries. In the morning, we checked out the complimentary breakfast buffet. It's plastic wrap wrapped small apples, oranges, under-ripe bananas, waffle/pancake batter/makers, oatmeal station, coffee area, table of scrambled and omelette style eggs and bacon in catering trays and a baked goods display. We walked through before leaving to eat at a bagel place - where we had scrambled eggs, grits and toasted bagels with coffee. We didn't leave to have a decadent or even different breakfast - the buffet just looked meh. While it was packed with guests it didn't look appetizing to us. More for them! We didn't do it, but they have socials/happy hours Tuesday thru Thursday, where for 2 hours you have a free meal and wine. This week it was a baked potato bar, grilled burgers and I think brats. Hey, it's free if you want it. Overall, the hotel and it's staff were so warm and inviting that we told the front desk guy we'll recommend them to our out of state friends who'll be visiting. We know they'll enjoy the location - and proximity to good restaurants like J Alexanders, where we had our dinner after checking in. About the flood - thankfully it's NOT a leak in the slab under my house but rather a leak to the freezer's water line. So we get to live at home - with 3 rooms of missing floors and air blowers everywhere...maybe we should just drive over to Staybridge...

My brother and I had 2 nights between a Fort Lauderdale cruise and a Miami one, so decided to spend it bumming around in Fort Lauderdale. This property ended up having the lowest award category level (level 2) in the Fort Lauderdale area, meaning it is 9,500 points per night. Rooms were going for a bit over $300 a night, so a real good value in point usage, in my book. We arrived quite a bit earlier than normal check-in and was informed that early check-in was an extra $30. Ended up getting it waived because of loyalty status, which also provided a couple of free bottled waters each day. The rooms here are large, almost 375 square feet, with a desk and sofa bed, along with two doubles. The room has a safe, small refrigerator, and a electric coffee machine (useful to heat up hot water), but no microwave. The mattresses were fine (thinking they use foam mattress toppers...very, very soft). The heating/cooling worked fine throughout our stay. The bathroom is old style, with the toilet and shower/tub behind a lockable door (very small room where with the door open, there is no space to move). The shower had decent water pressure and had plenty of hot water. The sink is part of the main room, which is an old style design. Breakfast is included, and we tried it once. It was OK, with 2 hot dishes (scrambled eggs and chicken sausage). It's not a particularly large area to sit, and as expected for a Saturday morning, it was quite crowded. The property does have an outdoor swimming pool (did not try) and a small gym. The equipment wasn't good, with the elliptical seeing much better days (squeaked with any movement), and the treadmill being just flat out broken. The location is close (walking distance) to the Broward Mall which has Macy's, JC Penney's, and Dillard's as anchors and a Regal Theater. There is also a close by Target, where we picked up supplies in preparation for the final week of cruises.

The smell hit you as soon as as you entered the room...think Grandma's moldy basement...totally awful. Was not comfortable sleeping there. The hotel appeared to have had a lot of water damage which was not properly remediated as evidenced by the warped wall decor and rust on the lamps and fixtures with many patches on the walls. It was a very uncomfortable stay due to the severe mildew smell, plus the furniture and fixtures were badly worn and in desperate need of replacement, especially the carpeting. It's sad as it could have been a beautiful property with the right care and maintenance. The building was quiet and the rooms spacious, front desk people super nice and breakfast decent, nicely decorated lobby. However staying in the moldy, badly worn and neglected rooms was an experience I hope to never have again. I think Hyatt hotels won't be a choice for future travel based on seeing how they allow a property like this to carry their brand name.

The guests were mostly older and it looked like most of them were going on or coming off cruises. They have a shuttle I believe for the port and airport here. It was peaceful and not noisy. The breakfast was very peaceful and fully stocked, even until the end of breakfast time. The only issue I had was I had tripped on the sidewalk curb and cut my toe. The sidewalk curb was not level to ramp, which made it dangerous for both someone walking or in a wheelchair. Our second visit was for a baby shower. Even though the party was in Wilton Manors, we decided to stay here again due to it being central to most places we would be visiting during our stay. This time it was a little more noisy and had more traffic. Still not horrible. Breakfast was super busy and this time we had to wait for items to be replenished. The staff was gracious enough to give us a later checkout, which we greatly appreciated. We will most likely stay here again if the price is right.

This Double Tree is located on Sunrise Blvd in Sunrise Florida. It is right across the street from the Sawgrass Mills Mall which is in walking distance. Both rooms I reserved on the 8th floor were dated with a fair amount of wear and tear. Still the rooms were kept clean. Guest services here has been hit or miss in the past and this visit was no exception. I reserved two rooms and my room went without incident. I reserved both rooms for a two day stay. For some reason, they checked my guest out of their room and had them recheck in. No explanation was given and I only found this out after leaving the hotel when I received extra charges to my credit card. When I called the hotel, their remedy was to send me the invoices and have me figure out what charges were wrong. When I looked on the Hilton app where I reserved the rooms and paid, they had altered my reservation so at that point I had no idea what the original charges were. Since I don't work there, and I can't see what the original charges were, I have no idea how I am supposed to figure out how to make sense of any of the emails they sent. The person who I talked to on the phone was apologetic, but the remedy was not satisfactory. To make it worse, this is not the first time I have had a similar problem with this specific location. I would have given 1 star, but am giving 2 because I had had a problem before and didn't learn from my mistake. I promise I won't be making the same mistake again.

I come here to relax in their ultra modern lobby which hosts a Starbucks which is not known to many on the outside world, therefore, not crazy busy. They do offer a parking garage but I simply park next to the building by the Sam's Club and take a one minute walk to the main entrance. Sadly, the barista informed me that the Strawberry Refresher syrup for my cold drink is temporarily discontinued due to unforeseen circumstances - so mad. The lobby also offers a restaurant called Peyton's Place with a very good happy hour 5p - 7p $5 beers & wines.
