Tennant called back very next day and they returned the following day. They installed a new Thermostat. The model they used was a $65 model, but they charged $174.88 for the same model. When asked, they said they don't buy them off the internet, but I said 'the price at Lowe's and Home Depot was $65!' The secretary stated the price included markup, tax, and labor.....that's a 300% markup. Price gouging! All this on top of $85 diagnostic charge, $39.98 to 'check Freon' and $50.43 for the 'cover plate' that goes behind the thermostat on the wall....seriously, $175 in misc on top of the $175 for the actual thermostat, which I was never contacted to approve. Used them before, but never again. The only response when called was 'we are a professional AC company and this is the price of a professional to install the thermostat.' No thanks.
