We are very pleased with our kitchen. Shona's clever design showed that she understood our needs and budget. The bespoke cupboards are beautifully made, and have transformed our awkward tenement kitchen into a great space to cook, eat and (when we're allowed) entertain in. Special thanks to Gavin,the very skilled joiner who fitted the units with such attention to detail. Any queries were dealt with rapidly, and Nichola kept us fully informed throughout the project - all the tradesmen arrived as scheduled, were helpful and respectful of COVID rules. Countryside Kitchens,Kelso. ONE VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER No stars really, but this wasn't an option. The Countryside Kitchens website says, "The entire process is carefully monitored to ensure a high quality job that meets with your approval." When I engaged their services to fit a new kitchen for November 2012 my experience of Jerry Ponder and his company was very far from this claim. I encountered the following difficulties: 1. Two cupboard doors were damaged during fitting. 2. A further door was clearly imperfect with pitted paintwork down one side. 3. Another door was the wrong size. I then had to endure a lengthy six-month wrangle to obtain four replacement doors. In spite of initially stating his intention to put right all of these matters, he then did nothing, leaving his project manager Lesley to take my many phone calls. It was only after I dealt directly with Callerton Kitchens, the manufacturer, that the issues were resolved. I found Jerry Ponder to be dismissive of my situation and his level of customer service falls well below that which is claimed on his website. I would never recommend Countryside Kitchens to anyone requiring modifications to their property. read more
