Opened June 24, 2014.
A large, brightly lit store. When it first opened all the produce had a yellow hue due to the strange lighting... They seem to have sorted that out.
In terms of new innovations, there's little that's obvious: A conveyor belt option on the self checkout and noticeably fewer checkouts than you'd expect for the size of the store.
The staff always make an effort to make small talk. I think it's probably a "new store" excitement thing. We'll see!
Cons: the rather unfriendly signs out front banishing all dogs. People can leave dogs in cars in winter... But what about summer? And what about walkers with dogs? A better approach would be three short chains with clips attached to the building spaced 1.5m apart, so that people can safely tie up their dogs. Bonus points for shade, water bowls and a "welcome dogs" sign! read more
