Teachers overall seemed great at first but at a closer look we realized most seem very frustrated and unhappy with leadership or lack thereof at this school. Several teachers have already left for new jobs during the current school year and I would not be surprised if others will find new jobs elsewhere over the summer. I hope they will all find new jobs where they'll be valued and treated professionally. From what we've observed the principal is mostly interested in photo opportunities for social media. She briefly shows up at school events to take selfies with APs and students, then disappears. Communication with parents/caregivers is almost non existent. At a recent awards ceremony the principal didn't even feel the need to give a brief welcome to students and families. Just sad. Instead attendees witness an extremely passive aggressive AP treat teachers poorly. Parents could clearly feel the tension in the room. Absolutely unprofessional. I would not recommend moving to the Grayson area/East Grayson: The schools are not inline with the overall Data: Apts are coming in Nov 2019 and the current school is overcrowded: 34 to 1 teacher: the area is overpopulated and the Clusters main focus is to over discipline your students which overall creates a very toxic learning environment : to many students in a very congested area: also the high school are not nationally racked therefore they are not preparing your students for college: Reading prophecy is 50% the area is taken a white flight as well as the commissioners do not communicate with the school board! The area is declining , taxes and utilities are rising to cover the overgrowth: that the schools can't handle: teachers are overworked and running out of the area making class sizes packed: Prison schools is more like it in the Burbs: read more
