We go to Costco a lot. This last time we went there was a extremely rude Costco employee by the name of Roger. I have a young toddler and she felt I'll and threw up. Some Costco employees were quite nice and helped. We were able to clean up and buy a new shirt and keep shopping. At the end of the shopping we were checking out and a bagger who was helping the cashier ( Roger ) approached the cart. He started to roughly move my husbands hat from the front of the basket of the cart and also my daughter's crocs. I did not understand why he was touching and moving the stuff around. I gave him a heads up to not touch the two shirts near the front of the basket as they were the two dirty shirts from when my daughter threw up on herself and on my husbands shirt. Roger immediately was abrasive and was disgusted. He made a comment like "oh cheesh" I asked oh cheesh what- at this point I was not liking his attitude. He said "germs" very loudly and then he proceeded to walk away. He literally rang away. The cashier tried to cover for him after I asked for his name. She even said are you guys just visiting. I indicated I lived here and that Roger's attitude and lack of customer service was not okay. She finally gave me his name and then a manager approached asking what happened. After I explained and indicated, my daughter (2 years old) did not mean to not want to throw up and I was simply giving him a heads up as he was things in the basket. The manager then indicated she was sorry and she would talk to him. Usually Costco employees are more considerate and kind however this Roger employee made me very upset as well as the cashier who was trying to cover for him. read more

Give me SAM'S CLUB over Costco every day. What is wrong with Costco Management? It seems they think of new things to make it more difficult to shop there. Scan your card when you enter - long line of people trying to get it to work, self check out is crammed, employees are very crabby, you have to take all items our of the cart, scan the item. put it on the counter, check out and then load your cart again - WHAT A PIA. They do not care about their employees or customers. What happened to the scanner? Even Walmart has scanners that work. You are checked when you go in and your items counted when you leave. Why not make the in store experience a little more pleasant. I am done with Costco!! read more

My partner decided that he would go to La Quinta Costco this morning since they're having early senior opening days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. They open at 8am but that's where it all gets screwed up! They literally make all the elderly people stand in a mile long line zig zagging them throughout the parking lot in direct hot sun!!! Are you seriously trying to kill the elderly people that shop at your Costco!? I mean it's fricken extremely warm/hot out. It's the fucken Desert people. And the idiots running the show out in the parking lot are dumber than rocks!!!! Costco needs to get a damn grip on this total shit show before someone dies and sues Costco!!!! My partner complained to one of the managers inside of Costco, and the manager said yes we know it's not a good set up and we're trying to figure something out that will work better. This has to be the best Costco among all of the Costco we've been to. I don't know if the footprint is any bigger but there seems to be more room here than the others. The staff is super nice and the checkout lines are really short. We shop here and Costco Gas at least once a week during our vacation in Indian Wells. read more

On my way home today, tire light came on. When we got home discovered that we had something stuck in the tire. Called COSTCO tire and asked if we came over ASAP can they look at it, they said Yes. We arrived and was promptly greeted by Andres at the tire desk. Showed him a picture and he confirmed immediately with the location it's repairable. We stuck around the store for a bit, they called about 30-40minutes later and said it was ready. All fixed (plugged and patched) and back on the road, thank you Andres for the fantastic service. read more

Tire center is inefficient. With an appointment we have waited 2 hours for a patch ! This is after waiting 2 days for an appointment or else dropping off as a first come first serve with a 4 hour wait. They obviously need more staff or to not overbook. read more

Costco has a lot of "higher end" items and more organic produce then I've seen in one spot. Personally I don't care if something is labeled organic. Keep your prices low. There is a HUGE selection of wine, and alcohol. Any store that carries the 1.75 size of Jack Daniels Honey is ok by me. Now for the bad stuff. There are too many people, customers, in the store. A pet peeve of mine is to have to wait while someone looks at something. Another peeve is people park their cart at the end of an isle while they walk down "the side street". TAKE YOUR BASKET WITH YOU!. I've been tempted to drag their basket down away from the shopper. Ill keep my Sam's card and borrow my sons Costco card once and a while. read more

This is for the tire place. So we needed a car battery replaced and my daughter and I didn't have any useful tools at home so we couldn't take the battery out. I figured they have a tire place they can help me take it out or at least let me use a wrench to take it out my self... To my surprise when i ask one of the tire techs he told me they don't have tools, i was confused and explained myself again and asked again if he could help me loosen it up of let me use a wrench to do it myself he replied again with "sorry, we don't have any tools" and I insisted with an "but you're a tire shop, and all shops have tools, may i please use a wrench to take my battery out, its a Costco battery, I'll do it here in front of you if you don't wanna help me do it" he still said "sorry, we don't have any tools" So i went to an auto-parts and got my battery replaced there with a very helpful gentleman that didn't complain about helping me. I was expecting more from Costco but now im questioning if i still wanna be a member or not. read more

We love our local Costco! The staff is amazing, the store is always clean and they have everything we need and want. One of my favorite things about Costco is taking advantage of the offers they have through Costco Travel. We recently booked an all inclusive trip for 2 to New York City with airfare (1st class both ways) a 5 night stay in a 5 star hotel in Midtown Manhattan New York and a car service to and from the airport. It was amazing! The trip was far less expensive then if we pieced it all together ourselves. Once again Costco Services did not disappoint! And throughout the process anytime we had to change something about our trip or had a question we called the Costco Travel line and they were always so patient and helpful. Great Service! read more

We ALWAYS purchase tires from the Costco Tire Center in Palm Desert. Their staff is extremely professional, and they are always courteous and efficient. Today, "Richard" assisted me with a tire purchase, after he'd carefully examined the existing tires on that car. What a splendid experience! Costco made it clear to me that if I wanted to get any money back for the warranty left on my tires, I would have to go through them. It turns out, this is not true. I was able to call my tire manufacture and get a list of approved tire service centers. There was one tire shop not on the list that offered to give me the same discount anyway. Ultimately the day after I called a different tire center they ordered my tires and got them installed the very next day. Bought 4 new tires for $1200. Lol, sorry Costco. read more

Gotta love Costco, and as I go as often as I can to save $3 on a monster-size bottle of detergent along with $200 on all kinds of other things I don't really need (and a 5-year supply of it to boot!). I practically need my own warehouse to store it all, yikes! You can always find someone to help you within a few aisles, and they are most helpful and friendly. If you need to return something, they have a ultra-generous policy. Highlights for me: the fresh fruit and veggies section, fresh meat, fresh whole roasted cooked chicken ($4.99), vitamin and supplements, the wine selection, the booze, and the samples around lunchtime! Tip: Go early or go late, but not at lunch or 530pm - the checkout process is long and tedious. Unless, of course, you need lunch and want to go for their AYCE samples! Location specific: La Quinta, CA ========================= 1. Parking seems to be aplenty, but it's a little damning as the population is older and slower than normal. Have patience, and you'll be fine! 2. This store is smaller than any other I've been to. The stock/inventory is 75% of normal, didn't have a few things I normally get. 3. They have gas! read more

When I walked in there was an older couple commenting how they were interested in trying them out and I looked over to see 6 teens sprawled all over them. 2 of them were asleep. Brought an elderly relative to senior hours. Which is great. While I'm not a senior, I am immunocompromised with a chronic health condition. I'm supposed to avoid crowds like other more vulnerable groups. It's disappointing that Costco couldn't give a shit about that demographic. You have anything that puts you in danger of more severe complications than the general population? Costco doesn't care. Shame on you, Costco. Quite a few other stores allow immunocompromised individuals to shop during senior hours to limit our exposure. Oh, and there were a bunch of seniors looking for toilet paper/paper towels. They don't have any, so they left. I thought a majority of the reason for this was to give them time to get items that faster, more agile younger folk would snatch up, as well as to protect an at risk group. What is the point if they're not going to have the items in stock that would be the hardest for them to get a hold of? Once again, shame on you, Costco. Oh, also, I found out that they extend their senior hours depending on demand, which is also nice. However, this means, if you were expecting to get in at or around 9, you're going to be in for an unpleasant surprise. Just spoke to someone at the end of the rather short regular line and learned that they are delaying general hours until at least 10:45, instead of 9. Best bet, avoid Costco on Tuesdays and Thursdays altogether. read more

I want to thank the ATT Team in Costco. They were hardworking, diligence and professional. They went far beyond what I was expecting. They fought for my wife Susan and I to get new phones. We love our new S22 Ultras. The trade in was difficult on our part but Marcos and his manager Lindsey fixed the problem that we originally created. We got the phone there instead of corporate or franchise because Costco stands in back of their merchandise. The process went seamlessly quick. We bought the phones, paid for them. The team transferred the information from our old phones to our new phones and erased all the information from our old phones. We then mailed our new phones to AT&T for the 900 dollars credit. One hundred was Costco gift cards. The camera is very nice. The pictures are awesome. read more

Pros: the optical department - I don't know the woman who helped me but all three that day were super sweet and super helpful. Second pro is: the girl who answers the phone on Sunday at 8:45am lol (random but she was super sweet as well as helpful) Cons. . . The pizza department. Not the WHOLE pizza department .... Just one girl in particular. . . Younger brunette, Hispanic (maybe mid to early 20's?) ... about two weeks ago we went to ask how long it takes to order a pizza. She had a dirty look on her face and ignored me. (I was the only one there two feet from her face)... and I'm hard to miss. lol -- So, after being ignored, I asked her a second time. . . "Excuse me... can you tell me how long it would take to get a whole pizza?" At this point, I was unaware that they had pizzas pretty much ready to go... she replied in a snotty way: "I have no idea." ....meanwhile she is wrapping a pizza she just grabbed from the oven with about twenty pizzas. We ended up ordering pizza anyway because my son really wanted it... Just as soon as we ordered, it took about 30 seconds... The girl who initially told us she had no idea how long it would take, did not smile and just throw a pizza in the box. She stayed miserable and I think I hates her job. Anyway. Her snotty attitude turned me off to this store .. hopefully they get rid of toxic people like this --ruining their vibe. Everyone else there seems to be wonderful..... this girl.... This is my least favorite Costco. Aside from the poorly designed entrance and traffic flow the service in the store is horrible. The staff in the pharmacy is extremely sour and never smile and are not friendly at all! In addition the store is Frustrating to shop. whole milk is either out of stock or only a short window for freshness. its common to find 5 or more items without price signage or incorrect signage. It unorganized and often they have isles blocked moving items in the middle of the day. disappointing for a Costco store. read more

Marcos who works the Verizon Kiosk is a total ROCKSTAR! We visited the store late last night in need of replacing a phone that suddenly wouldn't start up any longer. Marcos was there to greet us and was eager to get right to work getting us into a new phone. He helped gain access to the Verizon account with ease, select a new, late model phone as well as get all the data from the dead phone onto the new phone. He was friendly, professional and personable in every way. He was able to bounce between computers to help two families at the same time. He knows what he is doing and is fast at doing it! He even encouraged us to come back if we had any issues, questions or problems. Truly a gentleman, hard worker and an excellent representative for the Verizon brand! read more

We've visited various Costcos throughout the state and I'm convinced this one has the rudest employees of them all. Everyone looks miserable and like they hate their job. The people at self checkout never help, even if they see you struggling to scan an item yourself. The cashiers are always rushing and having conversations with whomever is helping them load and unload the carts. The people working the food court are the rudest of them all. To make matters worst, today we had the absolute worst experience with one of the ladies standing at the door. First she made a remark about one of my daughter's hair being messy. Then she started counting our items and apparently she had found that we had an extra item that had not been paid for. She spent about 10 minutes trying to find the item and finally realized it was a T-shirt. My husband told her it was fine, that we were not about to go stand in line to pay for the one shirt but she made a big deal about it. She started saying she needed to report it because they needed to write up the cashier who had missed the shirt. She made a remark about people doing that to her when she's working the cashier so she wasn't going to let it slip. Talk about wasting our time so that she can be petty towards the person who accidentally forgot to scan a $10 shirt. Worst service ever! I honestly would expect better from Costco. read more

Costco La Quinta Food Court's Pizza and/or their soda machine gave our kids a serious case of food poisoning on October 20, 2023. You know the symptoms - diarrhea when your kids' stools are loose and watery. The only common cause had to be the Costco Food Court. Mom and dad didn't eat there. We called the store to report the issue. We were certainly friendly, but they acted without concern and suggested it was our fault. We just thought they would like to know, but talk about rude treatment! Wow! We'll avoid the food court from now on... yuck! read more

Ok. America's Tire may have you beat! I was in Costco La Quinta tire center recently and am having a hard time justifying my next tire purchase with them as a result. Let me explain. First off, to get the phone to answer took several tries, but was successful. Made my appointment for 9 am. Got there at 9 and was barely greeted, actually more of a grunt. He was having an issue with the monitor and didn't even look up. No sense of urgency. In fact, the printer jammed and he had the other guy help fix it. He wanders off and the 'professional guy' was far more helpful. I keep thinking how different the two companies are. America's tire are thrilled to see you and never made we wait 2 hours to take a nail out of my tire! The sense of urgency is impressive as is the positive energy. Optical Department. I went for an eye appointment and the optometrist was wearing his mask below his mouth. When I said something he said it keeps slipping, and made no move to correct it - this inches away from my face and I'm sure countless others! To top it off I had pulled a number so I could get my glasses after the appointment - number 71. They were helping 72 and so I waited and then approached with my slip. I was told too bad, I missed my call so I had to draw a new number. Needless to say I won't be back! read more

My name is Susan Jacob and I am writing this under my mom's Yelp account (Bev Gomez) Yesterday, I had an appointment to see Gail Murphy at COSCTCO for an eye exam. My appointment was for 12:15-12:30 and as I was early for that, I stopped by to check out the eyeglasses. Axel helped me choose two frames - I need one set of glasses for "walking around" and driving and one set for the computer so Axel helped me with that, looking up my previous prescriptions and so forth. He was very helpful and professional. Then I went on over to Gail Murphy OD to have my eye exam. Andy was at the front desk and greeted me, gave me the clipboard with the form attached - then Joel performed the tests for the eye exam - he was SO patient with me but also very professional. Then Andy did the glaucoma test for me on another machine. Andy was very professional, too - and also cheerful and friendly. Really, it makes a difference, I think. Then Gail Murphy, OD, greeted me and had me do another group of tests and SHE was very nice and professional but also friendly and positive. Then I went back over to the eyeglasses and took a number - when my number came up, Kathy helped me and she was very patient with me as well as she needed to order the two sets of glasses for me and it is a very busy place! So I will be back there in about a week and half to pick up my new glasses. Well, all this may not be very exciting to you reading this but it means a lot to me that people are so nice all at one place. I was going to look at computer monitors but realized I needed to get going so I will look at those when I go back to pick up my glasses. Then I jut did some shopping - not a lot of things but I just want to tell you that you should try that wonderful pink salmon in the cans - six cans in a sleeve (I bought two sleeves). On my way to look for some bread I asked a fellow for directions - he was putting things on shelves in the housewares dept. I happened to see these Kohler toilet seat covers for $19.00 - he assured me I should have no problem putting them on (I purchased two). So, it was remarkable - it really was nice and easy - so, thank you very much! A whole new lease on life with beautiful toilet seat covers.
