Todays very unpleasant experience at Costco is one that will be hard to forget. I will try. BEFORE: Last time a few years ago I had dropped off the last set of golf cart batteries there. The person back then at the mechanics bay was very helpful, offered without asking to lift the 70 lb. each batteries out of the car and take them. TODAY: This year I was in for a big surprise To begin with when I approached the service bay area there was this guy at the very back who's name starts with J that I will call J. J was standing there with a disappointing look on his face way in the back When he saw me he walked forward with the same sour look and said "can I help you" I said "yes I would like to return some golf cart batteries I purchased Ibatteries I purchased here for recycling" He said "go inside and get approval at the service desk" I said "yes but they're 70 pounds each." He responded with "put them in a golf cart and bring them." I am a senior citizen but I am still strong enough to lift the batteries. 280 lbs is not a big deal. J's body language and tone was was a very disappointing experience. I went and spoke to the mechanic manager on duty and got the approval to place them and he kindly told me they would not be able to get a core charge refund of $15. I said that is OK, added about J's rudeness and got an explanation about being short staffed. I said that is ok and went back to return the batteries. The same glum guy J looked up at me while changing tires and said something to the effect of how can I help you. I said those golf cart batteries, I got a manager approval for need to be returned. He again looked up at me and said: "OK drop them off here" I again said "they are too heavy, they are 70 pounds each, can you help me?" Again with the same serious glum look he got up and went to pick them up. "You need to apologize for the way your are acting. Say you are sorry. " He said "sorry." The waiter and added "you need to unlock the back of the hatch" I open the hatch and I said "here you can take them now" By this time security guy who looked like a bar bumper approached. He. was wearing the usual orange vest approached looking like he was getting ready to apprehend a ship lifter. I said to him pointing to J "this guy is asking me to lift 70 pound batteries out of the truck to recycle them." Now it was his turn to be rude to me. He looked at me and said "OK, so why didn't you?" I said "they are too heavy! I also added: "I have already talked to his manager pointing to J and added "do I need to talk to your's too? what is your name?" To my surprise the security guy looked at me and said "what is your name?" This was getting even worst than I expected, shoppers were noticing and looking our way. J took the batteries off my truck as this was going on. I decided that I had had enough and didn't want to escalate anymore so I got in my car and I left. So far my experience at Costco has been very positive. Every once in a while you get individuals who are not well-suited for a customer interaction and so they should be brought to our attention. The security guy wearing an orange vest who didn't have a badge I do not know the name. The mechanic which I called Jay needs to have a serious talking to. I hope this helps read more

I was on a road trip between Scottsdale and Denver. Using the Gas Buddy app, I planned the cheapest places to get gas along the chosen route. Costco is almost always the best price for gasoline. Plus Costco gas has the extra cleaning additives to meet the Top Tier standards recommended by Toyota in the operating manual. This location is only about a mile off of I-25. Well worth the extra minute. My only complaint is the limited hours of operation. As a bonus tip, there are free, 24 hour, tire air pumps near the main Costco warehouse building. read more

Tons of pumps and they move quick. Weird location with a ton of bad stop signs and slow drivers around.

Love Costco, just stopped by with my friends to get some alcohol in bulk (we are ALL of age) just to have some worker STALKING us following us everywhere because he thought we were underage, on the phone with different people trying to stop us from checking out without checking our ID's or anything, so we left empty handed because we were forced to return it. Insanely disappointed, do a better job at making sure, and to that worker, you're not slick at all and great job stopping legal age kids from having fun! read more

This Costco is very clean and organized. Everything is easy to find. We always stop here on our way to Texas to buy the New Mexico Piñon Coffee, which is a third of the price the company sells online. read more

I absolutely cannot stand Costco. I've been to this one and the one out on Barnes and Powers, and I have found the same thing at both. There are literally hundreds of people here - day or night - and it is always crowded and chaotic. I can go in with a good, positive vibe, and I will always, ALWAYS, come out irritated, frustrated, and a little fearful. It's just too many people all in one space with too many bad attitudes and entitlement issues to warrant going there on a regular basis. I was recommended to go there to get medications for my dogs, that they were the cheapest around, but after filling my dog meds at Sam's Club, I am happy to find out they are much cheaper. So thankfully, no more Costco for me. You can have your supposedly cheap prices and extraordinarily long lines and bad attitudes. I'll be at Sam's and be far happier. read more

We shop at both Costco Locations in Colorado Springs, CO. The past year we have seen a marked decrease in the product quality of the produce dept. The fruit has been the worst, resulting in us throwing away almost all of the products. This includes apples (looked to be frozen when cut open), peaches that would never ripen, grapes that were hard, the miniature oranges (all thrown away due to being old and dried out). After I just now threw out a whole bag of Gala apples, I have made the decision to discontinue buying any more Costco produce. read more

It's kinda weird to review a Costco, because they're very consistently the same everywhere you go. They treat their employees so well that they're very friendly/happy. Costco retains pretty decent quality products across all their departments with the best prices too. We've been known to shop there while on vacation in many stores across America, and they have never disappointed us, unless something is out-of-stock or discontinued. Sometimes you can still buy it off of their web site, so don't give up. If it's out-of-stock we often check back 3-4 days later and can buy it. Even their returns staff make returns pleasant. I just wish the gas lines didn't clog up the streets. We go early in the morning before the store opens, but even that time can get busy. Another great option is in the evening just before closing. read more

Love the grocery side of it, but when I went to get tires put on my vehicle the service counter was not as nice as I thought they would be. I called to confirm my appointment and the individual I spoke to seemed like he was in a rush and kept hanging up on me. When it came to getting the work done it was super fast (only took 45 minutes). If you don't care about feeling rushed (for example you can't ask questions or have a conversation with the service counter), then I recommend it. read more

I never have any issues shopping here for groceries I love the grocery department. The food court on the other hand is a huge disappointment. I normally love Costco food courts but this one is the worst I've experienced. The staff is very rude, no customer service skills whatsoever and always have poor moods. They rarely answer the phone. I have called numerous times, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but the only time I have ever had them answer, the phone was ringing for almost ten minutes. I have physically been at the food court and witnessed them ignoring the ringing phone and just standing around moving cups or napkins unnecessarily. The one time I did get them on the line, the gentleman that answered the phone was very short with me and after I ordered a pizza he hung up without saying anything to me. Not "you're welcome" not even "goodbye." VERY dissatisfied with this food court, we never have a good experience with them. read more
