It was obvious that I was traveling (I had my bags with me) but most of the staff was very gracious when I asked questions about what to order or how to pronounce things, which was very kind. My server went out of her way to check in and to make recommendations. The atmosphere itself is relaxing, cozy, and comfortable, but at the same time so alive with colors and art and interesting things to explore while you eat. There's seating indoors and a spacious sidewalk patio seating area. I ordered a cappuccino to drink and the Power Frühstrück to eat, which ended up being an amazing spread. It included a light omelet, a basket of fresh bread, jam, fruit, cheese, cream cheese, olives and an orange juice. It was plenty of food for a solid meal and was less than 15 euros. I also enjoyed the little touches (even if I couldn't read them!) on the menu about the business and the note from the owner. It all seemed very thoughtfully done. I would love to come back and explore more of the menu and spend a little bit more time enjoying myself in the space!

It is more spacious than one would expect from the outside with about 8 toal tables. Good amount of space and separation between each table. Definitely less crammed than Bruhmarkt in Bockenheim which my normal go-to spot. I ordered the Ethiopian coffee (4,10 euro). It is on the expensive side (similar coffee is 3,90 euro as t Burhmarkt), but quality is very good. Free wifi, comfortable atmosphere and good coffee make this a place to spend more than a few hours relaxing.

I had a sandwich with a Kürbis bagel that might as well have been white bread. It had egg and cream cheese but the eggs were a dried out saucer without any flavor. The Frisch Käse tasted cheap somehow. Also, the most unfortunate thing, they were playing really loud and unfortunately really bad music. (Think "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic except it's not Celine Dion and "Everything I Do, I Do For You" by Bryan Adams except it's not Bryan Adams) Unfortunately it was so loud I had to risk my own ear drums by blasting my own music in my headphones to drown it out. Not relaxing. We also had a pancake. One small one. It was completely dry and came without butter and a tiny teaspoon of syrup that didn't even come close to coating the thing. :-/ It just was not good. I would never expect gourmet but I would not do it again.
