ONE STAR
I had went to cost cutters in Beatrice to have my hair done. Just a simple cut and a dye. Going from light brown with Splat blue on the top to a light blonde. I don't have a problem with the fact that they couldn't fully do the color I had wanted. I understand it's hard to get box dye color out. I DO have a problem with the woman that was doing it. I will name her name ONLY because I hope others don't have to experience the same as I did. Amanda was her name. It was TERRIBLE. At first I waited 20 minutes, I understood. She then starts to apply the color & the foil. It was painful. I thought "It's okay, this is the process" She began to tell me that we couldn't do a full color, we could only do high lights. If I had known at the time what she meant, I would've left. The process took an hour. Waiting for it to sit, while she goes off and does other things. We then get to the sink where we have to wash it out. She starts to apply the cold water but she DIGS her nails and fingers into my head. It hurt SO bad. This wasn't a light pressure. She was digging and scratching. Then she continues to hit my face with the water hose, as she's not paying attention to my hair but to her colleagues. She's pull so much on my hair that I felt threads and threads of hair come out. I've had my hair washed with a professional many times. They usually ask if the temperature of the water is okay, if they aren't being too hard. It's like she didn't care. I will repeat this again, SHE DUG INTO MY SKULL with her nails & yanked my hair. I laid on the sink where your neck lays, no support. My neck was on that hard sink in that laying position for 30 minutes. I couldn't get up. I had to lay there & watch her walk around. Help other customers who already had help with them. Get on her phone. When it was time to dry she pulls my hair out, wraps the towel around it so aggressively & takes me back to sit. As she starts to brush my hair, she doesn't do it lightly. She tugs and tugs at it. My head was being PULLED from one side to the other. I could once again feel hair being pulled from my head. She starts to blow dry my hair and begins hitting me in the face with the blow dryer. Once again, not paying attention to what she was doing, but rather chatting with her colleagues. Before she started to dye, she started to cut my hair then stopped. While my hair was still wet, she began cutting. My hair is not how I wanted. It's awful. The cutting is so bad, it's so un even and there are parts of my hair where it shouldn't of been cut so short. I didn't ask for layers or anything, just a small 4 inches cut off. A few days later I went to another place in town to have my hair cut, again. Even the professionals there had stated that Amanda had done an awful job. I'm not saying this to fully discredit her, But I don't want anyone to go through the PAIN I went through. I was curling my toes from the pain, winching. If I could give this review one star, I would. I've went to Beatrice Cost Cutters before and never had a problem. Having your hair cut, dyed or styled in any way should be a relaxing process. This was FAR from relaxing. It was painful, just terrible. I was in tears after leaving the store from the pain. Thank you. read more
