There is always a problem understanding how to make those user-friendly. That took several minutes to do. We each had skin checks and a few things frozen off. Nice staff. Upon check out, after waiting several minutes for the 1 checkout person who was dealing with a payment problem, another staff person came over to help us. One good thing was that we each had separate appointments, we were allowed to be in the same room and were able to save time by being seen consecutively. That saved us some time. When we left, both of us thought the practice good, but a little bit like a factory.

Exactly one week later having heard nothing I called my PCP's office and was given the number of Advanced Dermatology. When I called, they did not know if the referral was received and could not tell me when or if it would get to their system. I then made another call to my PCP office, and they agreed to resend the referral. Having heard nothing the next two days, I went out on my own and was able to get a next-day appointment with a Greenville dermatologist. The next day the Advanced Dermatology "Referral" department called to set-up an appointment. Who knows how long it would have taken to see a doctor. This is no way to run a doctor's office. I am lucky in one respect in that I have a Medicare Supplement and not an Advantage Plan. This allows me to shop around without financial penalty. Best of luck if you get referred to this practice.
