I found this gem while staying at the holiday inn just down the the street. As an English speaker…read morewho speaks basically no French, I was SO SO happy with this restaurant. The food was great, reasonable and fairly quick and the owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating to us despite the fact that we don't speak french.
The owner speaks English and immediately spoke to us in English as soon as he realized we were tourists. The place also provides English translations on all of their menus which was really helpful and I was grateful not to have to have to ask for a special menu/translations.
The food was quite good. Everything they serve can be done Kosher, but you don't HAVE to have it kosher if you don't want to (AKA you can get meat sauce with a cheese au gratin dish). My fiance had the nature gratin potatoes and I had the pasta bolongese gratin. Both were very tasty.
The restaurant itself is small and has maybe 10 tables inside, but it wasn't too busy. IT seems like most customers do take-out which makes sense for the area. It was clean and comfortable, but not too exciting in terms of atmosphere (not that I was expecting anything, haha).
Overall, I am really pleased with this find and I would 100% recommend it for anyone in the area, especially those visiting who don't speak french. They were so friendly and it was a great experience. Plus, there's no open patio seating so you don't need to deal with annoying smoke from smokers out front puffing into the restaurant.
