I replied to your text asking for feedback on the 30th., April…read more Saying my hair was a bit dark. Which it is. I couldn't get into town for health reasons which I'd shared with staff previously. Also my husband had a stroke and was taken into hospital. Today I rang looking for Tanya but she wasn't there. I spoke to Sinead who was very cold and dismissive. Like I was trying to pull a fast one. I've been going to Lloyd's for years and have left a lot of money there. Previously Sarah Deegan had to correct the colour before when someone stood in for her. Also prior to Sarah, Danielle who was also great, did the same. Mistakes happen. I won't spend anymore money at Lloyd's. Looking after good customers is important. I have now to find a new hairdresser after all these years. But never mind. Joan Billings. Show quoted text

I was just going for a little cut and a blow-dry, just spontaneously. So I walked into their salon…read moreand they told me they had a spot open at 3 PM (it was 2 PM when I walked in). That's was perfect for me. I did some shopping and then went to the hair salon. A great customer service at this point... Until they started washing my hair. I told them I had sensitive skin so asked if they could be careful with my scalp. The girl who was washing my hair looked at me like I had insulted her... and completely ignored what I told her. The result was me ending up in the chair to get my cut, but the dandruff (or dry scalp) was already flaking.. I was a bit nervous about that and told the hairdresser that was cutting my hair. He told me that it was okay and he would look at it when my hair was dry. He didn't do that until I asked later on. He also didn't interact with me at all, I tried to make conversation but it was super awkward. He told me he would cut it a little shorter, which was fine, and a put some layers around my face so that it looked a little more alive. well.. that didn't really happen. It looks like I tried to cut my hair following a youtube tutorial. It looks so bad. He also pulled my hair a lot, and the blow-dry was way too hot. Hair kept flying into my eyes, and overall he just wasn't careful nor professional. All of this resulted into my hair feeling super itchy and the skin on my forehead turned red because it was treated so badly. I asked for the shampoo and how to treat my scalp later on. He explained what would be the best shampoo, so that's fine.. But it's a day later and my scalp is super sensitive - even on places where it wasn't ever sensitive!! Overall, it looks like a toddler did my hair. I didn't like the experience at all... I regret spending 50 euros on this.

I went with two friends who have been here already a couple of times. For me it was the first time…read morethat I got to try seaweed baths at all. Already the journey to them is part of the relaxation. Beautiful views towards what feels like the end of the world. Just a small harbour and a lifeboat station are at the end of the little road. All staff that I met was very friendly, natural and competent. As it was my first time there I had to fill out a form, including any medial conditions. As this area is Gaeltacht it was first in Irish then in English. The staff speaks English. We had a special offer package via Pigsback which included a massage, facial, seaweed bath and refreshments. I enjoyed all three of them very much and felt very comfortable, enjoying some pampering. As expected you can say any special requirements for the massage or the facial. The facial can include colouring of the eye lashes and eyebrow. I got an introduction how to use the seaweed bath which included first using the cedar wood steam box, then the warm / hot seawater bath where you after a while add the seeweed that is waiting for you in a bucket. Talking to my friends afterwards the amount of seaweed seems to vary depending on the seaweed available. When I was there is was very rich and oily so it was seemingly less than on other occasions. But enough to rub it into your skin and to enjoy the treatment. The food (soup or sandwich) afterwards was tasty and nicely filling. People also came into the cafe after walks around the area just to have a coffee or for something to eat. As we were there on a lovely warm and sunny day we got to enjoy and further relax after the treatment in the tranquill surroundings. But I'd say even or especially on a cold and rainy day it's a lovely escape from our daily lives.
