We bought tickets to see a production of The Rocky Horrow Picture Show". Upon arrival, we knew something was drastically wrong when the place was dark and the parking lot was empty. Unbeknownst to us, the production was held in Cortland, at a different venue (it did NOT give an address on the ticket ($24.00)). After making a couple phone calls, we figured out where we needed to be. It was NOT easy to find, but LUCKILY, we made it to the correct venue just in the knick of time. Parking was non-existent, but the nice people at the drug store across the street let us park there. The production was pretty good, including all of the fun antics that normally take place during a Rocky Horrow Picture Show. The whole thing lasted about 90 minutes. read more

This was a nice venue for a kids play. Easy parking. Super friendly staff. We arrived early and were able to walk around the grounds a little before the show. Chairs were arranged in a square and carpet squares were on the ground for kids to sit on. There were no concessions offered during the day time kids play. But there are some concessions offered for their evening performances in the main theater upstairs. This place can also be rented for events. We attended a wedding reception here many years ago. Beautiful view of Little York Lake. There's historical pictures on the walls to see what it used to be like that are worth looking at too. read more

Cortland Repertory Theatre - Downstairs reception area used for kids play - Performing Arts Near Me - Preble, New York

I have ALWAYS loved this theatre. I've been coming here for several years, and the shows are always really good. They have a raffle at every show, and the refreshments always feature cookies from a local bakery. They used to always be themed to the show, but I didn't observe that today. The theatre is small, but the seats are nice and comfortable. It got AC some years back...huge improvement! Cortland Repertory Theatre (CRT) also has a location in downtown Cortland but I like this one much, much better. I kind of want to add that their performance of the Cake yesterday was awesome, and in a way, given the demographics of the area, also brave. 10/10 read more
