After walking along the Lungomare (slightly disappointing) we entered the old town of Cefalu. And a fantastic little town it is. Very charming with lots of beautiful buildings and houses.
This is one of the main drags in town, paralleled by the (for me even more interesting) Via Vittorio Emanuele. Lots of stores, shops and little restaurants and cafés. A very good place would be "Fritto & Divino" on the way (at the Duomo). If you look for an ATM (they are quite rare in the old town), there's also one along this street.
Really a nice little walk, only thing that's a bit annoying is the traffic sometimes. I understand people live here, but the streets are really narrow, so it's quite a headache for visitors and the drivers as well.
Cefalu is really a beautiful place and shouldn't be missed on a visit to Sicily. read more
