We were staying at the doubletree across the street so decided up give this place a try. The corner is simple. Order at the counter and they bring out your food. Self seating. We ordered the granola and poached eggs. The food was just ok. Taste was ok. Now the marmalade was good. Service was ok. They were busy. Overall would recommend if you're staying nearby.

Fantastic service and atmosphere real cool vibe. The menu is basically appetizers and 4-5 main dishes. Like any fancy places you will not leave full, but you will leave satisfied. This did leave room for deseert which was also fantastic. The fact that a place with this high a price point felt the need to charge for bread is why this is not a 5 star review. The food was great, I dont believe there is anything bad you could get on the menu, which changes from time to time. The cocktails were pretty good but that may be because its attached to a cocktail bar. Over all I'd recommend you try it out and that the owner stop charging $5 for 4 small disks of bread with frozen disks of 'butter' when every table is paying over $100.

We came here for dinner on a busy Saturday night and service was excellent. Cocktails: The Coronado: Well-balanced and surprisingly enjoyable, even though I typically don't like mezcal. Definitely the standout and the only one I'd order again. Summerhaven: Had a bitter aftertaste with a cloying finish--not for me. The Third Bird: Also well-balanced but just okay overall. Night Gardener: Tried it with added tequila, but it ended up tasting like straight tequila--not good. Food: Escargot Rockefeller: Very light and fresh, but I wish there had been more escargot. Steak Tartare: It was okay but lacked flavor and felt a bit plain. Salmon: The spiced red lentils were outstanding and masked the flavor of the salmon, which I didn't enjoy on its own. It was way too rare. I did not like the side of shishitos which were a large portion of the dish. The Hen: Absolutely delicious, and the sides were just as impressive. The Polenta Cake with cherries, pepitas, and bourbon whipped cream stole the show. It was so good that I'd come back just for dessert and drinks.

Our food was amazing, especially the Pan Seared Desert Pearl Mushrooms, made up of three sisters(rancho gordo heirloom beans, squash, corn), and a homemade corn tortilla. This was their only plant based option on their menu(besides the salad) and it did not disappoint. The gentleman who seated us wasn't very friendly or welcoming. Our waiter was a young man who got the job done but was not friendly or personable. I'd love to see them add more non alcoholic beverages on the menu. I asked our waiter if they had any mocktails, but he was unsure. We had water and then hot tea with our dessert which was delicious. This is a beautiful historic building and they have a lovely patio as well, serving brunch during the day. Although they only have one plant based option on their menu, I'm excited to try them again as their chef is an artist and changes the menu seasonally. I love that they prioritize locally sourced ingredients and organically grown, Non GMO.

1st wedding anniversary! We have been here twice in our lifetime. It's always fantastic service. Our server was AMAZING and went over the menu with us and recommended really great items. We had a super intimate experience. We loved it so much and will continue to come here for anniversary dinners. It's on the pricey side but WELL WORTH IT!

I came to Coronet for dinner last night hoping to get a unique, vegetable forward meal. The restaurant delivered in spades! Here's a quick recap of my dining experience: Food: I actually ended up ordering a completely vegetarian meal, and it's been my favorite meal in Tucson so far. Standout dishes included the roasted cauliflower terrine, which was accompanied by two slices of Einkorn Miche bread from Tucson's James Beard Award winning Barrio Bread. I was also impressed by the tack room chocolate mousse, which came with a pecan tuile. Service: I sat at the bar and received satisfactory service from the bartender and other restaurant staff. Ambiance: Elegant with dark wood and tastefully playful decor.

If you love a good presentation when it comes to food, the Coronet is the place to go. We ordered a couple of appetizers to start off, and the flavors were unique and interesting! The beef carpoccio we ordered was pretty good and paired well with the mushroom. I can't remember what the second dish we had was, but it had a thick custard like texture (i think it was some type of pureed vegetables) decorated with fried thinly sliced potatoes and asparagus. Pair it with the bread and it was good, but not amazing. Dessert was probably the best part. Poached pear was warm and sweet, and paired really well with the icecream. We also ordered a brownie...but it was the size of a mini brownie so being shared amongst 3 people..we only had one bit of it. Prices are kind of expensive, and portions are on the smaller side. If you're into the food scene and into intricate flavors and presentation, this place is for you.

One of the best meals I have ever had!! We tried the 5 course meal which was part of their tasting menu along with the pasta dish called Local Mushroom Pappardelle. It was amazing! There also bread to snack on from Barrio Bread and we had a bottle of Sangiovese. Our server Katie was super knowledgeable, kind, patient and funny. We sat outside in the patio with the misters on, music playing and overall a great vibe. Highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite places in AZ. Everything about this little place is charming, unique, and tasteful. The menu is always distinctive and the service is consistently outstanding. Tonight, I was able to try 3/4 of the menu..... excellent! Sophisticated, complex and truly unique! I will likely be back tomorrow to try what I missed!

We came during May, when it starts to get warm, but he did well since there is a good amount of shade out on their patio and they provided a nice big water bowl for our special boy. The staff also were kind enough to move one of our chairs out of the way so our dog had lots of room to lay down. Staff were all very kind and never seemed annoyed with the dog (you can always tell at a restaurant if they are, and they were very happy to accommodate him). Very dog friendly!! The food: We gotta talk about their French onion soup. It was pretty dang delicious! The broth itself is quite nice, a nice cheese portion, and the baguette was divine. I also had their French Connection sandwich (with a side of fries), and it had a great combo of ooey, gooey cheese, firm and flavorful ham, and served on a really delicious loaf. Really solid fries, too. We didn't end up getting any drinks but saw several people ordering yummy looking bites. If (but likely when) we come back to Tucson, I'm making a point to return to Cup Cafe!

The one who served us was very nice and even made a drink recipe I came up with. Unfortunately, their bar is not well stocked so had to make a LOT of adjustments to my recipe. But appreciated his suggestions and effort. Now for the bad stuff. They have a jazz club attached. I figured the whole place would have that ambience but was disappointed that wasn't the case. Generic pop on the patio and inside is very noisy. The preferred dress of patrons appears to be gym shorts and t-shirts. Drinks were a little weak so I switched over to bourbon on the rocks. But the prices are reasonable. Maybe a nice pre show stop if you're going to the Century room.

So many higher-end expensive restaurants serve bland, tasteless food, meanwhile this amazing mid-ranged restaurant is serving some of the best dishes I've ever had. The smashed chicken was probably the best chicken dish I have ever had at a restaurant. The skin was perfectly crispy while the meat was juicy and well-seasoned. The ginger and herb salsa verde was so fresh and aromatic. The cilantro rice complimented the lemongrass aioli perfectly. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and I'm usually one to reach for the salt shaker at most restaurants. Smoked olives are a concept I have never considered before. It's a concept that was executed perfectly here. So savory, flavorful, and complex. I'd love to have a few with a dirty martini. Speaking of drinks, my Casino gin cocktail was great. Perfect level of sweetness and tartness. I knew I had to order dessert after how good everything else was, even though I am usually not a dessert person. The oolong tea cake was nothing short of incredible. The tea flavor was subtle but paired well with the fluffy and light honey buttercream. Not too sweet at all. Of course, the service was great too. Our waiter was very attentive and personable. My first experience at 5 points made me realize that this is what restaurants should strive to be. I ordered the impala with 2 patties and tried the Tucson beefsteak too. Food: (3.5/5) The impala burger comes with 1 patty normally but I added another for $6.95. The patties were apparently made of 70/30 grass-fed ground beef with shiitake mushrooms. They were very juicy, tender, and flavorful. These patties were also cooked perfectly with crispy edges and a juicy center. The impala burger also came with bbq sauce and crispy onions. Besides the patty, the rest of the burger was pretty standard. However, the fries were horrible. They came lukewarm while the burger was served hot, and the fries had no texture. They were soggy and chewy, like frozen fries that were microwaved for 15 seconds. The Tucson beefsteak was quite nice, and the meat was juicy and the dip it came with made it even more juicy. The mini chimis banderas were very mediocre. They had a severe lack of flavor. It just tasted like fried dough. Service: (N/A) The restaurant is mostly self serve except that they bring you the food.
