We stopped by the welcome booth, where a friendly couple gave us a brief overview of the church and answered our questions with a smile. They even gave us coupons for free coffee! After the service, we enjoyed a delicious coffee (worth over $5) at the on-site cafe right next to the church.

To be honest, Scientology is the absolute best way to better myself. To physically feel your mind expand and grow.. now this isn't your ordinary church where you sit and listen to some guy speak. I mean there's seminars that teach you even more things about Scientology. They help you understand the books and courses they have you go through, understand your misunderstood words, they are EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. This is a LEARNING church, so yes you do pay (all churches have you pay in some way. What's the difference) in order to better yourself but wouldn't you rather pay and gain knowledge and understanding rather than pay someone to have you sit on a couch and talk about your problems and NOT feel yourself get BETTER?... seriously.. I feel happier, more responsible, I can handle the people around me, I can be comfortable around negative people and not let it affect me. I had this wild experience a week ago, I had these tickets to go to a concert that were $260, right? Scientology helped me become more responsible that I sold them, I was upset but felt good about myself because I realized what was more important.. literally a day later, i bought my THIRD course, I got $300 back!! Literally won my money right back! Outflow = inflow. They teach you so much! Yes they will call, duh, of course if you don't show up! if you aren't consistent. The interior decor seems a tad bit outdated with artificial flowers everywhere and older floral patterned style couches . The celestial room was my favorite representing heaven. There was no preaching or attempts of converting. It was just to educate on the use of rooms. It was an interesting opportunity that might not be available again to non members.

It is refreshing to be in a church that boldly speaks truth and stands in the authority given to us. There are so many people that I meet that have been healed and restored in this church among all the campuses. It truly resembles what we read about in our Bibles. They really know how to pray and I have learned from them and have seen so many answers to prayers and miracles happen in my own family. I used to go in and not speak with any one but once I did get involved I have found that people truly care and will come to your aid when in a desperate situation and they will pray with you and support you and build up your faith when yours is running low. The space was decorated in blue. They maximized the space by fitting all the vendors in the path to food and festivities. We stopped to look and jewelry first, then dog treats and bought raffle tickets for a chance to win a trip for two to Greece. We were met by a waft of deliciousness. It was hard to decide what to get but we settled on some classics: Dolmades, Spanakopita and Moussaka. My favorite part was watching multi-generational dancing under the canopy. We finished the day with Greek iced coffee and Loukoumades. So yummy!

I had the opportunity to visit this fantastic church during Easter to watch the daughter of a close…read morefriend who sings in the choir and also works there. It was better than expected. I felt very welcomed and everyone was super friendly and loved the flower communion. That was so original and new to me. They also had a fair outside selling various items as well as a nice bookstore and big hall with art exhibition. The campus is gorgeous with great views and fantastic mosaics. I enjoyed the First Unitarian a lot and looking forward going again some time for another event.

Sunday morning mass at Saint Brigid Parish in San Diego, California…read more.. This Catholic church was recommended to me by a Yelp friend. It was a good experience because I recognized the songs, appreciated the traditional stained glass windows, and marveled at the fresco-styled mural of The Stations of The Cross. Instead of 14 separate Stations, all 14 events ran into each other as a continuous happening. One of the ladies at the church saw me looking intently at the mural and she explained that the artist was a friend of the priest at the time. This friendly woman pointed out that some of the figures in the mural were modern - since they were wearing jeans! Very interesting! The free parking lot was spacious. I think it wrapped around the building! It was decorated with gardens and courtyards filled with benches, sculptures, and beautiful plants! If I were in the area, I would attend mass here again. The woman told me that the music changes at each mass. For example, the music at the later mass is done by the youth group and involves different instruments - instead of just the organ at the earlier mass.
