We were in the mood for a good burger, and decided to try Cornucopia. I've been on a restricted diet, heavy on protein, for about a month now, and I'm really sick of meat. My fiancé and Dad ordered burgers. One with sweet potato fries, and one with onion rings. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad with balsamic vinaigrette. They were more than happy to take my dietary restrictions into consideration, and substitute grilled chicken for the fried. My salad was delicious. The veggies tasted fresh and were crunchy and delicious. The chicken was good, with plenty of buffalo sauce, and the dressing was tangy and yummy. The burgers smelled amazing, and I took a small bite of one burger an an onion ring. The onion ring was amazing, and the burger meat was the best. I actually ordered a few patties To go for lunch during the week! I mentioned my protein heavy diet because protein is not exciting anymore. But this burger was so good that I happily ordered several, and looked forward to eating them! They are a little on the expensive side, but it was nice to sit outside, the wait staff was friendly, it didn't take too long to get the food, and the food was really good. I like this restaurant's ambiance. I've always liked their food. The waiters could be more attentive, though they were busy. My issue is their prices. They seemed to go up during Covid and they charge a lot more for drinks than any other place on their level. The food is overpriced also. I may be back because I like the atmosphere a lot and the food is good. Definitely not as much as I used to before Covid. I have had good experiences at Cornucopia in the past but today was awful. I went with a friend for lunch. My friend is 84yo and dependent on Soc Sec, so this was to be a rare treat. She wanted cheeseburger cooked rare, with onion rings instead of fries. The waitress advised that they could not cook their 1/4 lb burger rare and that she should order the 1/2lb burger instead if she wanted rare, so that is what she did. This cost her an additional several $. When it came, the burger was very well done, not rare. It was grey, dry and unappealing. The onion rings were not battered but breaded. The server took forever to check back, and did offer to take it back and bring another one. Not wanting the food to go to waste, my friend declined the offer to recook, saying "just box it up. I'll. Give it to my dog". (She doesn't have a dog). At no point did the server make any offer of recompense, nor was there any apology. In the end my friend ended up paying $23 for a cheeseburger & rings. The burger was inedible & the rings average. The service was shoddy and unconcerned. A restaurant with the reputation Cornucopia has should at least have offered an apology and have given her a coupon for a future meal. Neither of us will be back again. The deck in back was nice though. Our experience could have been so much better with a little sense of pride in their product and concern for their customers. read more

I called in my order at 4:24pm, food order was not there when we got there at 4:55pm from driving across town. They stated that they didn't know what happened to the order. Said that the phone number I called wasn't theirs and I needed to call it and figure it out, called it again. I heard their phone ringing as I called the location and stop as the person answered, she then put me on hold and said they needed a couple of minutes...10 minutes later and never got back to the phone. I hung up and talked to another person, at which time I called the number again and watched them pick up the phone and we looked straight at each other as I said "Yes, that is me". At this time, my wife was sitting in a car with my kid on the street waiting for this issue to resolve...and then they kept on treating me like it was my fault and all they could do was to place the order again. I finally walked out and we went home at 5:30pm, I could not leave my wife and kid sitting there longer waiting for them to fix an issue that they created...Never had an issue at the 5th St location. read more

First time visitor. First thing we noticed was the friendliness. Greeted warmly, seated quickly and superb service throughout. Our table of four were unanimous-the fries are deliciousness. We all had burgers and they were very good as well. The only thing I wish was different, the meal was so good I would have ordered 1/2 pound burger instead of the quarter. The server was unusually friendly this time from this bar. Usually they are somewhat friendly but non attentive. I really liked her! Anyway, here's my story today. All I wanted was a burger from cornucopia today. Advice, don't go for the smaller one (it's new). It is not perfected like the big one they are known for. I was told it will never be cooked with any pink which is usually ok but it was so dry and over cooked. They did make it right by comping my meal but I left feeling hungry because the "owner" took my plate which I had only eaten a quarter of the burger and only a few tots. Keeping the tots at least would have been ideal because I was so hungry and didn't get to eat my icky burger. I would have gotten another one but I was pressed for time because of a school event that I had to be at. Too bad because I'm at least an every other week customer since it's near my kids school. My family and I decided to drive up 8 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area just to eat here after hearing about how good the burgers were from our cousins. It was well worth the drive! The CHEESEBURGERS were some of the best I've ever had! Great quality meat and cheese (get the Tillamook) ...and don't skip the ONION RINGS they were delicious- best side on the menu! We came specifically for the pretzel and ended up getting the mac and cheese as well. Both were terrific. Warm and delicious on a chilly evening. The pretzel cheese sauce was a little runny for my liking. Almost as if they took their beer cheese soup and used it as the sauce which wasn't terrible but I kind-of wanted a hearty cheese dip for whatever reason. Cornucopia has been on my list of places to try out for a while. For whatever reason, we've never made it out to 17th and Lincoln to give it a run. How foolish of me to deprive us of such good food! Saturday was my 32nd Birthday, and I was wanting to try a new place. I've heard many mixed reviews about this place. The Yelp reviews have really slowed down, and they're hit and miss too. This particular leap of faith resulted in one hell of a great place to get our grub on. My wife ordered a mimosa, what separates a tasty mimosa from a nasty one? other than champagne used? The OJ that's used. At Cornucopia, they used fresh squeezed OJ. Perfect!! The IPA of the day was Boneyard's RPM IPA!!! Yeah Yeah, I was all kinds of giddy to have a pint of my favorite brew. We had a very kind and attentive waitress who took care of us. I decided on the Blue Cheese Burger with fries and my wife had a Mediterranean rice bowl. Burger: One of the best I've had in a long time!!!!! The quality of the beef is superb! They use a "Farm to Table" antibiotic/hormone free beef. As i've mentioned before, QUALITY OF THE BEEF IS KEY! Another nice element was the smokey bacon! It added a smokey taste that meshed perfectly with the blue cheese and beef. Fries were crispy as could be and done perfectly. Rice Bowl: I didn't eat much of this to properly review it, however I did have a bit and it was really good. It had a trace of a Kalamata to it, which I personally don't care for, but it wasn't anything that could've ruined the dish for me. It was a huge portion too. The Tzatziki sauce was thick, yet tasted fantastic. It's a well thought out dish. We were more than happy with our experience and we will be back many more times to come. read more

These folks lose a star due to the service the last two times. Would probably drop to 3.5 if able. One of the last times, the server was not on his game and last night, the server was not on her game. Two different servers, two different areas. The food was good as usual, no complaints there. The place was busy, not THAT busy. When you have to keep asking for things and get up and go ask for it, there is a problem. Food is good, drinks are good. Service is questionable and has been worse recently.. today we were seated at 1:20pm, after ordering two beers we sat and waited while other tables around us were seated, had drink orders taken, and then drinks served. After 25 minutes we decided to get up and leave, as we still hadn't received anything but waters to the table or seen our server since we were seated. I would have no issue, maybe just an off day, except our sever decided to argue with us on our way out. Grabbed some brunch here and wasn't disappointed! I got The Big Basic; it's your standard eggs/potato/meat/bread shindig. The bacon was yummy and I opted for a biscuit--it was delicious! My partner got the Loco Moco and enjoyed it. I don't know that this brunch was anything unbelievable, but it sure was yummy and it hit the spot. Looked like the boozy drink selection was on point, but we didn't have any. I'm looking forward to going back to try a burger next time--rumor is they're legit! A little gem. Fun place for a little group. I was not really hungry but I had a cup of chili (the small version) and it was waaaay too much, of deliciousness. I couldn't finish the chili but it was good veg. chili. Our waitress was super friendly and tried to connect with our group in a sincere way. You can tell she enjoys people. Our food took a little longer than she liked so she comped some delicious cake. Moist vanilla cake with a chocolate frosting that was really 'chocolate' that melted in your mouth. This review pertains ONLY to the catering arm of Cornucopia. To be clear - we love Cornucopia at both locations, but our experience using their catering services last summer is worth a separate review, and an easy 5-star rating. We hosted a 50th Anniversary party in the summer of 2014, with approximately 75 people attending. Cornucopia catered the event, and made the event a huge success. Professionalism of the staff, punctuality, and both food presentation and quality were all outstanding. My wife worked closely with their event planners, and found the process of menu selection easy. More importantly, the finished product was true to expectations (often a rarity when comparing a tasting menu to the final food prep several weeks to months before the event). All food was locally sourced, high quality, and very much enjoyed by our guests. We included salmon, beef tri-tip (with an amazing mushroom gravy/jus!), roasted potatoes, and wide selection of other warm and cold sides. Timing of presentation was spot-on - the food was placed on the serving line, and ready to go immediately. Staff were present throughout to ensure the meal went smoothly, yet remained unobtrusive. Really excellent and friendly all around. Clean up after was also excellent. We will definitely use them again if the occasion arises, and would recommend them without reservation. read more

Cornucopia is the reincarnated Lincoln Street Market and has retained at least one aspect of the old place: a good beer selection. Cornucopia is first and foremost a McMenamins style funky pub with better food but it also has three beer coolers full of the goods that Northwestern citizens crave. The selection of bottled beers seems carefully selected to showcase microbrews of substance and quality while maintaining breadth that will accommodate most palettes. I dig the west coast craft beers so they have that covered and an added bonus is there beer to go business. Like most breweries Cornucopia sells beer sold straight out the tap to beer lovers looking to take some to go. Most homebrewers and beer S.N.O.B.'s (Support Native Oregon Brews) are familiar with the growler to go container but a mason jar style amount is also available. The advantage Cornucopia has over breweries is the varied selection of beers it rotates through on tap but the downside is the cost is slightly more expensive because they don't make the beer themselves. Overall this is a good place to find good bottled beers or even beer sold only on tap. I can't say you won't find better prices at other bottle shops or stores but they don't seem ridiculously priced either. Cornucopia is definitely an above average contributor to the beer culture in Eugene. read more

On weekends when my husband is working and I take the kids into Eugene we love coming to this location for it's laid back vibe. I have been lucky to usually end up in Coleen's section and always enjoy her service and smile. Food is an amazing deal especially for kids. My daughter always orders the hummus plate and boys food for the fish or burgers. They come with two sides so they go for fries and a healthy option like grapes or broccoli. We went to Cornucopia for the first time at lunch time on a Saturday. Our party had 4 adults and a 2 & 1/2 year old. Service was good at first. The menu had a good amount of choices and us adults all picked different burgers. My son had meatball sliders with broccoli. Granted, it was busy. But our food took FOR-EV-ER. Two tables who got there after us got their food before us. What's worse is our waitress never checked on us once. Our drinks could have been refilled at least twice. When the food finally came, it was pretty good. The burger had a juicy and flavorful patty. I had Cajun tots, but they weren't very 'cajun-y'. As good as the burger was, it felt a little over priced at $13. Everyone has a bad day, so we might give this place another shot, but at the same time we won't be running back. read more

Last time I ate here, about a year ago, I had a delicious vurger. It's a black bean veggie burger made in house. A week ago, I was back with several friends and recommended that they try the vurger (1/4 lb). Well, it was tasty but there wasn't much vurger, certainly not 1/4 lb. Ranch was 50 cents, but they didn't inform me on this (super annoying) I learned I am not a fan of paper straws here as well. Mixed drinks didn't come out until after our entrées so awkwardly had to chug them down at the end. Chimmichurri nachos had barely any sauce on them as well, was disappointed there. A split couples paradise! I am a vegetarian and my husband is a meat eater. We regularly find ourselves compromising for the other when it comes to going out to eat. This is by far one of the BEST restaurants in Eugene. The meat options are wonderful, and the vegetarian options are AMAZING. I had the daily special which was "The MAC Daddy Burger". I subbed the 1/4 pound of beef for a Vurger, made here in Eugene. It was topped with cheese and Mac and cheese. Served with fires or tots, I got tots. You could tell the Oil the tots were cooked in was fresh and clean as they didn't taste like a ball of oil. The black bean burger was soooooo good. I was extremely surprised. It was like my mom made it, perfection Husband got a classic bacon cheeseburger, it's his go to at a new place. He cleared his plate faster than I thought he would. Said the burger tasted as fresh as they claimed and he was impressed. All in all, we were extremely happy and will absolutely be returning!!!! read more

I can whole heartedly recommend Cornucopia on 17th st for being so wonderful providing a heated outdoor space for 10+ gathering. They were wonderful helping us plan so we could accommodate the needs of some of our elders. The food was great, the service warm, welcoming and efficient. We were cared for.
