I don't really do the whole church thing as a rule. I was raised Catholic but as an adult I have…read morefound myself estranged from religion in general and christianity in particular. Normally I also don't do weddings or funerals although qccasionally I will go to family or friends funerals to support my friends and family. My trip to Antioch was to support my buddy Rance after his mom passed. Mrs. Tinsley was quite a character who loved her son deeply and always tried to the end to help him keep his life straight. It was an honor to go to her services and pay homage to her memory. I had never been to this particular church before, but by the time I had left I was pretty impressed with the place. The people running the church were very welcoming even tho I was an obvious visitor. The church itself is rather plain but you can tell it's well taken care of by a congregation of folks with limited economic means but lots of love. If I had to go back to church I could see myself attending here although it is way away from my side of town. If you are out and about on a sunday and have an interest in a culturally enriching experience then find ur way here and give it a try.
