I've asked about the same bourbon on every visit and no one has ever offered to put me on a wait list. Other shops would have seized the opportunity. The prices are competitive and the sales prices are excellent. The cameras and security guards are not welcoming and somewhat put a damper on the shopping experience.

I'm not sure of the rules around this, but they will possibly order you something special if you request it and buy a case or if they see it as a possible selling item. The store is employee owned and it seems they don't have much turnover with employees which is a good sign. Another bonus? Covered parking which is nice in inclement weather and just because no one wants to find street parking. Sometimes the lot can be busy at peak hours but they get people in and out quickly. Remember to pull up as close as possible to the wall or people can't get through. They also have security guards at night for sure, mostly because of thefts in the past but I've never seen anything weird happen when shopping. Ott's on Oakland is most certainly my go to liquor store because they have the best prices and selection combined in the area.

The prices aren't too bad and the guy at the counter was friendly. If you're staying at one of the nearby hotels it's pretty much your only option for liquor in the area.

The chocolates were all super flavorful and had an amazing creamy texture. Clearly high quality stuff. The wines the staff at Waterford paired beautifully! They even let us sample some espresso liqueur and peanut butter tequila to go with our chocolates! The staff was also very knowledgeable and helpful. This is a great little shop with a wide and interesting selection. They also have spirits and I found a lovely bottle of whiskey to take home. All in all, this made for the perfect environment for a Galentine's date! I will be back!

The tasting we attended was free, and the rep was friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't have a particular wine we were asking about, but offered to order it for us, and it arrived within a few days. If paying with a card, there is a fee, as with many places these days, so bring cash if you'd like to avoid a fee. If you're looking for a good wine selection in Milwaukee proper, Waterford should be on your list.

Once the employee decided to get off of their phone (to which they immediately returned for the rest of the evening) we placed our order. We would've loved even some minimal engagement on our selections for the flight or acknowledgment of our choices or presence period. As someone who was worked on the service industry for many years I would've forgiven this behavior at 8:45pm but we would've been better off just enjoying wine at home given it felt like the establishment was closed from the second we walked in.
