We stopped here for a quick lunch and it did not disappoint! We loved the fact that the menu primarily features regional fare such as the muset (a typical local sausage dish made with the snout of the pig) as well as the baccalà (salted cod). They also have a large selection of local wines at very fair prices. The service was impeccable and the ambience was warm and welcoming. Also, a note about the previous review which was obviously written by someone who is not accustomed to travel in Italy: the charge he mentioned is the so-called "coperto"- a small per head cover charge (around EUR 1-3) that is included in some restaurants for servings of bread, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper at the beginning of the meal. This is perfectly legal and always mentioned in the bill.

Second, the food was great as was the service. I had beef with gorgonzola cheese melted on it. I also got a side of fries with skin on. Probably some of the best chips/fries I've had on the continent! Those of you who know me know I'm a huge fan of chips/fries in Europe! My colleagues changed it up a bit but the beef was a hot menu item for us! The move to the new ligation make a journey there a car ride instead of the nice walk it used to be. All in all still worth the journey!

We enjoyed a grilled meat dish and a surprisingly tasty (if strange looking) pizza (see photos). There's also the location, right on the square.... and a nice courtyard in the back for summer nights. The place has a dehors (both in the front abd on the back yard) as well as multiple floors. Both the personnel and the owner speak English. The king of the castle is the irish beer, but, whenever the owner is behind the counter... the drinks are strong and awesome. The food is so and so, some times it is awesome, other times not so much... but, when the booze and the company makes up for 90% of your night... who cares about the rest!!
