Tickets purchased online were $10 (+ a small processing fee of $0.25) and guests purchasing tickets at the door on the day of the event were charged $12. I purchased two tickets online for Sunday, September 29 and the total was $20.50. On Sunday, we arrived around 12:00pm and was easily able to grab a parking space in the big parking lot. As time went on, the parking lot got fuller and people needed to park on the streets. Our ticket was scanned and we got stamped on our hand. It was our first time at the German American Cultural Society, so we walked around a bit first. There were vendors in the outdoor Biergarten, downstairs by the Ratskeller bar, and upstairs in the large indoor Bierhalle. We first purchased a bratwurst on a roll with sauerkraut and potato pancakes from Biergarten food tent. It was very good and I enjoyed the apple sauce on the potato pancakes. From Burgundian Waffles, I got a Churro Waffle, which was an Original Liège Waffle tossed in Cinnamon & Sugar Liège Waffles and I added fruit on top. The strawberries, rasperberries, and blueberries were fresh. My husband got the Liege of Nations. The Liège Waffles were very tasty and the menu had savory, sweet, or build your own waffles. We eventually also purchased a dinner plate with bratwurst, leberkäse, Kartoffelsalat (potato salad), and sauerkraut from the Ratskeller kitchen. It was my first time having leberkäse and it was good. I really enjoyed the flavor of the Kartoffelsalat. I did prefer the bratwurst from the Biergarten food tent that we had earlier. We also got beer from Weihenstephan claiming to be the world's oldest brewery. I got the Weihenstephaner Festbier, which is a full, rich-bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. It was light. My husband got the Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen, which is their golden-yellow wheat beer. The Bavarian Brothers were performing from 1-5pm so we went upstairs to the Main Bierhalle to see their performance. I really enjoyed their performance and nice to see people getting up and dancing. Overall, it was really nice to enjoy the live music, dancing, German Festbier, and traditional German food dishes. Our friends joined us later and we had a great time. I can't wait to check out the other events at the German American Cultural Society like Christkindlmarkt (Christmas Market).

They take mental health very serious here , they have pictures all around saying it's okay to speak about mental health. They also have condoms in the room and at the front , I love how they do this especially for teens who would be shy to ask.
