There was a giant spatter of green and yellow - nasty stuff. Anyway, brought in my vehicle expecting I'd have to clean it again after the wash...but no! I was wrong! The entire front grill was cleaned SO WELL! No leftover bugs! I was thoroughly impressed! Despite the numerous amounts of cars, the guys took their time cleaning each car and especially mine. I watched as they worked to get the bugs off. Much appreciated. So I had to make sure to update my review because my first experience wasn't that great, but this time was excellent!

It's been more than a month since our local full-service car wash places closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, so all three of our cars were filthy since we can't use our household tap water to wash them ourselves because of the high mineral content. I called the phone number on the van and spoke with the owner, Chris Ortega, and confirmed he was indeed open for business and we scheduled an appointment for today for him to come to our home to do all of our cars. Chris provides all of his own purified water from a tank mounted inside his van and uses all of his own car cleaning products. He stayed in touch to confirm our appointment and then showed up on time for it. He and one other guy went right to work and did a great job on all three cars in about 45 minutes. They pressure-washed all the bugs and desert dust and sand off of them first, then soaped and scrubbed them with soft brushes, rinsed everything with purified water, towel-dried the cars from front to back, hand-washed all the outside windows, and dressed all the tires. Total cost was $20 each for two large SUVs and one small sports car. We are happy with the outcome and would definitely use them again. Glad to see a local business still open for service while observing safe social distancing. Hope to see Chris and Safe Clean continue to do well.

So clean to the point that when I brought it in Robert, the owner, he said, "You're car is clean - why do you want to get it detailed?" to which I replied, "Make it cleaner". His question was already unsettling to me. I've read about detailing and if I keep my car clean and I bring it to you that means I want my car pristine - fresh off the lot clean. Especially for $120 + a 20% tip. Well guess what? My car was not pristine. It was cleaned, but not to the level I wanted it to be. There was still residue in the gear stick that had been there. He didn't get the stain out in the back seat. There were black stains on the exterior that I think splashed from whatever chemical he was using.... All in all I wasn't too happy. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic, but if I give you a car that is pretty clean and you're gonna charge me $120 then take it to the next level of clean. I want my baby Pristine. The owner is pretty curt and straight to the point which I was 100% okay with. I figured someone who isn't warm and friendly might be super detailed oriented and would take the time to really clean out my car. Nope. I was expecting a lot better.

I inquired via their website (Desert Sun Toyota specifically, not Desert Sun Motors), and was contacted by an employee who set me up with an appointment with Mr. Saul Velasco. It was a perfect match! Not only is Saul extremely personable, friendly, charismatic, but he is honest, upfront, and looking out for your best interest. I was torn between two vehicles and he helped me decide by looking at short term and long term goals. He was practical, helpful, knowledgeable, and overall just made me feel super comfortable and confident in doing business with him. You go into car dealerships expecting to get slighted or cheated in some way. I am a huge skeptic. I don't trust easily, but Saul earned my trust and I can vouch for him for sure. I purchased a used vehicle and she is running fine. We had a little hiccup within the first 15 days of purchase, but Desert Sun Motors took care of the problems without any chargers.
