What a charming little find! This wine bar / Italian restaurant is a true gem. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date night or a relaxed evening. The wine selection is amazing, everything we ordered was delicious. Service was also great. I can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!

Hidden Gem in the Richmond! My husband and I came to Corks after a rec from his coworker. While it's described as a wine bar, don't be so quick to skip out on their food--this place holds its own as a dinner spot. We arrived pretty hungry after an afternoon in Golden Gate Park and ended up ordering more than usual, which turned out to be good thing... - Wine: Great selection of Italian wines. I'm certainly no expert, and the staff was helpful in guiding us. - Appetizer: We started with the prosciutto and burrata, served with some bread. It was simple, fresh, and so satisfying. - Mains: We shared the cinghiale (wild boar pasta) from the regular menu and the bottarga special. Both were rich, flavourful, and filling. - Dessert: It was hard to choose just one, so we split the tronchetto and the pistachio cake--neither cake was too sweet and both were delicious. We got there on the early side so it wasn't busy at first, but the place steadily filled up. However, even at its busiest, it never got too loud inside and it was still easy to hold a conversation. It's a cozy spot, with friendly and welcoming service, and you can get a fun peek into the kitchen too. If you plan to come at a busy time, consider making a reservation in advance. Overall, I was really happy with my experience here from start to finish and I look forward to coming back soon!

Maybe it was an off day for them but we disliked our meal. We actually stopped by this place on accident because the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. My pasta dish was chewy. Not cooked properly and the dessert was horrible. They dorn have fresh lemonade. It's the San pellegrino from a can that they charge a lot for. My coworker had dessert too and a glass of wine and just was complaining about the panna cottage having no flavor. Our waiter may be the owner. He is super friendly with the regulars, but kind of cold with us. Didn't offer us a box, not that we would want one because it wasn't good. Had to chase him down for the check, and the water was lukewarm. Won't be back.

Wish this place is close to my home. Such a charming place. Very small place but food is excellent. Not many choices but everything is delicious. Highly recommended.

I really wanted to like this place because of the raving reviews, but my pasta was really overcooked and tasted like a microwavable pasta. I got the amatriciana and would highly not recommend. The service was very backed up as well and I had to ask to order, get the check (twice). I could've looked past the service, but the food was disappointing for $24 with a small portion.

I've only been to Italy once and I've been thinking about how godlike the food is ever since. And eating here, literally, flooded my brain of memories that I've been chasing for. The food is very rich in authenticity and crafted with such care. I recommend the fried zucchini antipasta (appetizer). So good, and it comes with sweet red bell peppers with like cheese inside it. Oh my lanta. Y'all might get triggered about the wait for the food but depending what you want takes time to make. So wait because it's worth it. The vibe at least we went was low key. My wife and I love going to Bella Trattoria, but we now found another Italian spot where the vibe is more calm. It's like a quiet coffee shop vibe where you go to have a nice glass of wine and eat good pasta after a long hard day/week at work. I got the vodka cheese pasta I forgot the name and puttin disrespect on the name but it wen very well with the red wine, I think the Lincongiello. Something like that. Will definitely be back.

This place feels a little bit like a Twilight Zone. Just something about the service and the menus was a little off. We did get a great table right by the window. We received 2 menus that had about 85% overlap of VERY similar dishes. When we asked about it - the guy wasn't very clear, but kinda said the one menu was a newer version and we could order off the new one - OR the old one (which had a few extra dishes) - That they were kinda working on fixing and creating an even newer menu to include everything. But even so, the entrees on both that kinda sounded the same didn't have the same description (leaving out important facts, like a beet flavored pasta on one for instance). It took a bit to get the real story from the server...just weird, give me one menu with everything offered (and maybe an extra with only specials) We ordered the Cesar salad to split - it came in a bowl, but he gave us TEENY little bread plates to each get out halves on there. WAY too small a plate - it was small for a bread plate. Anyway the salad was okay - a but under-dressed. My man and I each got a pasta, I got the one with the prosciutto and he got the one with the tellegio cheese. We each had bites of each others, and you know what was the best? It was mixing a bite of each together. I tell you this too - the service was S-L-O-W. I didn't mind it one bit, but if you like to "giddy-up" with ordering and being served, this is NOT the place to go. I am happy I tried this place, but prefer a place like Jackson Fillmore for my local neighborhood pasta needs.

The food is delicious and so fresh. I got the gnocchi and the burrata & prosciutto appetizer. The space is very small and intimate; but don't worry, it's not overly hot. It can be a little claustrophobic initially. Our dishes took a long time to get to the table but it is worth the wait.

I called a couple of hours beforehand and made a same day reservation for three at 8 p.m. I was amazed they could get us in. The guy who answered the phone was so nice. We arrived right at 8 and were seated on the back patio. Our server took a little while to greet us, but by about 8:15 she showed up and we immediately ordered our salad and entrees. The heirloom tomato salad came out around 8:30 and was great in concept, though a few more pieces of cheese would have made a big difference. Our entrees, two salmon dishes and a medium-rare steak, came out around 9 p.m. We had waited a little too long, especially since the restaurant was not very full at that point. My steak was overdone, so as politely as possible, I sent it back. The server said it wouldn't take long, so I assumed 15 minutes at most. By 9:20, the steak still had not arrived and my family had finished eating. The server came by and said it would be out in another couple of minutes. Another 10 minutes passed, and there was still no steak and no sign of the server. At 9:30, I was so frustrated that I got up to cancel it. I found the server standing near the kitchen talking with other servers, while my steak was just sitting there in the service window. I'm sorry, but I did not come to a restaurant at 8 p.m. to eat my entree at 9:30 or later, after everyone else had already finished. What made it worse was that the server was not apologetic at all. We also ran out of water multiple times throughout the evening. Overall, it felt like the staff, other than the host, just didn't care. Neither the kitchen nor the server. I don't know if it's the no-tip model, but it definitely felt like an authentic European zero-customer-service type of experience. I'm really disappointed, Zazie. I know you can do better.

The Ice Cream Bar is popular, so prepare for a wait since they take the time and care to make your order. It's located on a nice block with street parking, but it's also a busy area in general and probably easier to walk to. They have menus and a small seating area outside. Inside is a great throwback to 30s/40s art decor style, with the main ice cream counter to the right and the actual bar at the back. They have different ice creams available by the scoop in a cold dish, or opt for a made-daily waffle cone. They have classic toppings as well. Once you order, you pay towards the back. The bar area itself offers alcohol, perfect for a Guinness float or to add a little something extra to a milkshake or sundae. Prices are reasonable for the quality. The servers were so welcoming and eager to please with special requests as well. If you're an ice cream fan, this one is worth coming to enjoy.

The stars of the show were definitely the wine and the garlic noodles. I wouldn't recommend sharing the Wagyu dog as it got a bit messy. Everything was definitely overpriced, and portions were small.
