I barely drink but they had the wines I actually do like - Barefoot's Moscato and Valenzano "Plum's Up," plus many varieties from this winery. The store is well organized and clean.

I was in town visiting family this week and I stopped in the liquor store before going to a BYO spot for dinner with a college friend. In an attempt to support small, local businesses I went here instead of Canals. HUGE MISTAKE. I picked out my wine and proceeded to head up to the counter. I was conversing with the woman behind the counter, and I asked her if she needed my ID. I produced my out of state Virginia drivers license immediately. She rejected it stating they do not accept out of state drivers licenses. I am a 28 year old married woman. I was buying Black Box Rosè. I'm not some child trying to break the law or I wouldn't have been having a 10 minute casual conversation. I proceeded to plead my case to this person, as I had no time to stop elsewhere. I continued to produce identification with pictures, and then I was questioned about why my last name was different on my license ... maybe because I got married? This was literally the most insulting experience of my life. Then, my mom who is a KG resident called to voice a complaint about the whole experience. She was told off by the ignorant owner or manager, like she wasn't a patron. They clearly do not know that the customer is always right and they really do not care if you present valid ID. The owner/manager literally said, "we will serve whoever we want - we are a private business." Sounds a little discriminatory to me ... DO NOT SUPPORT THEM!
