We were extremely dissatisfied with the workmanship and customer service of Cork Interiors Brisbane.
After raising and building in our home, we enlisted Cork Interiors to lay grey ironbark flooring throughout the downstairs of our home. On inspecting our newly-laid floors, we were shocked to find rocks and large specs of dust and dirt within the coating. On further inspection, it became obvious that the job was rushed. A number of boards that could have been secret nailed were top nailed; no attention to detail was used in evenly distributing the different coloured boards; kickboards in our kitchen were damaged; some joins between boards were as little as 20mm, there were patches of ghosting within the coating; and the putty used underneath was far too light, making it an eye-soar as the boards shrink.
Further to our disappointment is the fact that the owner became extremely defensive and aggressive when we pointed out the above. It took some time and persistence to have him agree to a recoat, which again was left with rocks and dirt in the finish. After paying quite a lot of money for a beautiful timber floor, we were left extremely disappointed with the quality of workmanship and the owner's unwillingness to rectify the problems.
In the end, we had to cut out losses and needless to say, we did not contact them to do out staircase and upstairs flooring. read more
