The best vocal coach I've meet! I'm a profesional singer and last year due to exhaustion I damaged my vocals chords, I had a little nodule and I was freaking out because I couldn't sing at all. I went to a doctor and he wanted to do surgery which is a big no no unless things are extremely bad. I visited a very renown vocal coach and he gave me this exercises that made me actually worst and he advised to actually get the surgery. Right after that I decided to see on more vocal coach before making any decision and I found Coreen and we connected right away... the first thing it made me realize she was the correct person to work with is that without even haven't paid her a dollar she wanted to jump in a call to have a conversation about my situation and to make sure I wouldn't go into surgery, she was very very thorough about how she could help heal my chords and get me back on track. In a nutshell, Coreen is the best!!! I have been singing since I was in elementary school and I've had quite a few vocal coaches over the years. I came to Coreen at the end of 2016. I was very deflated because I wanted a certain caliber of training but felt like I could never afford the top notch people that I wanted to take classes with. But even then, through the grapevine I didn't ultimately hear great things about those teachers. Ever since I was a child I had voice lessons on and off and made many bad choices when it came to teachers because I didn't know any better. But in making all of those mistakes I came to understand what I needed. I needed to understand my voice and doing mindless vocal scales taught me nothing about what was actually happening. Even though I thought that I had trained my voice plenty, during my first lesson with Coreen, I quickly understood how weak my voice actually was. But I didn't get discouraged. I put myself to work and followed her instructions. I loved that I wasn't doing scales to train my voice, but I was actively working each register of my voice in a safe, smart and methodical way. And I love that Coreen won't let me go further until she hears that I am making the right connections with my voice. It's very important to have her there to hear things that I don't so that I don't continue bad habits. I also love the fact that I have a write out after each class with exercises that are personal to me. I am learning how it should feel to sing correctly and I am creating so much more resonance and openness.
